I recently had trouble today with my gn3 randomly rebooting then it would get stuck on sprint yellow screen never booting fully to os I tried restart couple time before having to do a hard reset then after doing hard reset it said something about an program has encountered malicious or tripped something when I went into about device it said custom I have not rooted my note 3 yet waiting for more bugs to be squashed also the camera would literally make the phone stop responding which lead me to believe it's an sd card issue has anyone else experienced this or know what happened at least thanks in advance?

If it's brand new and you're able to, I would just do an exchange.

I would but it's sprint and think it's been over 30 days I don't have the repair plan for ig

When I first got my phone
When I first got the note 3 I switched the SD card from my note 2 into it. When I boot the phone up it would try to install the sprint apps and then reboot. It would consistently do so. I almost had to return my phone until I figured out that I had to wipe the card. When I did so the phone started to work. Sprint tech support couldn't figure it out they told me to just exchange the phone since I just got it.

Hey guys, I'm getting an error code 65535 class 3 whenever I try to text, and a radio failed when I try to place a call. I'm running sense 5 (hatka) and I already confirmed that it's not the rom. Please help, I'm on a trip in new York so I really need this (this all randomly happened so I don't think I did this)

Yeah, I'm using the correct version. I checked and everything. Odd thing is that yesterday it was working just fine. I woke up this morning and my signal would drop in and out like crazy and I would go for about 3 minutes without signal before I'd get a bar (usually i have 3 to 5)
Here are some pictures (not sure if it would help or not)
(also I'm in New York on a trip so no laptop)

Either bad SIM (my first guess) or signal issues in the area (unlikely) hit up a store and swap out your SIM.

Hmm, I took out my sim and put it back in and it gave me full bars, I can get texts (rarely), and I can get very little Internet when connected (not wifi) I don't want to take my phone to Verizon because I'm running a custom rom and they'll see it and probably want to make me pay for a new one.

don't go by the bars....go by the dbm...whats that showing?
Re: Texting error
I'd run an RUU and see what it does, don't sweat the bars and if that doesn't fix it just give it a day or two. You can always run the RUU can call verizon and have them send you another SIM card.

According to both Verizon and HTC, there was a known issue with the phone software and not being able to read the SIM card. It happened to mine about ten times every week until an update was released to supposedly fix it in February. I still get the error from time to time, but far less than I did previously. If you've rooted and flashed a ROM prior to February, I would suggest making a backup and restoring the phone back to stock. Once you've done this, do the update to the new firmware and then reroot and restore from your backup. This should, I think, fix most SIM issues.
I flashed a new kernel and my Dna went into a loop on the white screen. I got into recovery and flashed back to Nos M7 v1.0.6 with stock kernel. Now it has no signal and can not call out. It keeps saying perparing sim card. Anybody had this happen?
The same issue you describe happened to me a couple of weeks ago and now my phone works only 2g. Have you tried using it in gsm only mode?? What kernel have you flashed? Beastmod?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Yeah and it come up with no service. The last kernel was beast mod 5.0

Are you on Verizon? Because I'm a gsm user. As far as I know the only fix for this is to replace the phone. I cannot since I bought this phone online and I'm using it in another country overseas so send it back for replace it'll cost me 200+.
The 3g/4g antenna is a very delicate coil, during the beastmod flashing bootloop the phone got extremely hot so the antenna coil should be damaged/grounded.

Thanks for the info. I have just got the phone back to stock. Time to call Verizon to get a replacement!
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
It sucks because I will most likely get a updated replacement
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
Verizon sent me updated replacement and new sim card but I did a factory reset with the new sim card and my old phone is up and running. They told me it must of been just a bad SIM so I could just send back the new phone
The tec told me there is going to be a new update in 2 week but wouldn't say if it was sense 5
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
I doubt there will be an update in 2 weeks most of those reps don't have a clue what they are talking about. I called one time because my data was gone and the rep had the same phone and he said "oh my data hasn't been working eaither" he walked me through steps I had already gone through and fixed his issue but then proceeded to tell my my modem was dead. Well I told him it wasn't o got transfered to a higher tier and they fixes it. But we will just have to see I guess. Hopefully that's the case that we get one and get sense 5 that would be nice for those of us who are locked down.

Hi all,
I recently rooted and loaded a deodexed stock rom, googke wallet wws working great. I'm in an isis mobile wallet area and got an email that they just loaded $10 on my card. Because Isis does not work when the phone is rooted I decided to go back to a stock rom on my device.
I read a couple guidee on how to unroot and I believe that I am rooted and wipe the phone back to complete stock.
I flashed with odin and the isis app is loading with no errors. When I try to pay nothing happens when I tap the device. Tried this at 2 different 7-11 gas stations where it has previously worked.
I did some googling and saw some posts saying if you don't reset the google wallet it will brick the secure element.
So my question is if I have bricked it, should I be getting an error message?
One oddity I have noticed is that if I try to reboot into recovery (power, up arrow, and center key) it will say loading recovery and then nothing happens, just turns off. When I turn the phone on it doesnt say custom with and unlocked symbol which leads me to believe there is no custom bootloader.
Aby suggestions would be great thanks

I had Isis on my note 2 and had the same issue. Nothing worked at the terminals until I received the physical Isis reloadable card in the mail and activated it. Then it started being recognized at terminals.
I doubt it's the secure element because isis uses the SE on the sim, not the phone.

Yes but you can order the sim through customer care and use it anywhere pay pass pay wave are available.

So I was able to fix with a 2nd wipe. I'll stick with bein unrooted until isis gets patched or the deals suck. Right now public transit is free with isis in salt lake. #$60 saved

Just got this phone yesterday and already having issues. Before I even rooted this thing the hands free activation didn't go through smoothly. I attached a pic below. That is one of the things that pops up.
Also, another screen pops up a lot. Device self help or something like that. It states something to the effect of, must complete this by pressing *2 on my phone to reach a representative.
Mind you that data works and so do phone calls. I actually called Sprint and they said that from their end everything is activated. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Have you tried doing a factory reset from the stock recovery? You can also do it by going to Setting/General/Backup and Reset/Factory Data Reset

I also purchased my note 3: from Best Buy and the sales guy said it would be better to use my sim from the s4 so it would not require activation. On my way home from the store I also received all the same errors you did and I called Sprint. The lady reviewed my account and said everything looked great but put me on hold when I told her about the sim exchange. She said to put the original sim that came with the phone back in the phone. When I rebooted everything seems to be ok. Except all the other issues I'm having with the phone, I will be returning it in a few days. This is the first phone I have never purchased a case for because I have no intention of keeping it with all its problems. I really like the note 3 but if the major issues on worked out I'll be on the s4 until they are.

In locations I know for a fact have LTE. First thing I tried was ##72786#. I got excited when during the hands free activation of had a LTE signal for the first time. However, after the phone automatically reset it went back to LTE.
I have no idea what is going on here. This is my third Note 3. I'm on stock rooted MI5 firmware.
##DATA# can't be accessed because I don't have MSL but even if I did I wouldn't know WTF to do.
Anyone have advice?

I had this problem with my GS3 and was tired of calling them and them telling me that there was an LTE outage in my area OVER and OVER again. So I decided to take it into a sprint store and hold it next to the demonstration models and asked them why their LTE worked but mine clearly didn't work and that got their attention to exchange it out after they tried fixing it for 45 minutes.

Forgive me if I'm off, I was slightly confused by your post and I'm delirious from lack of sleep...
1. Try toggling airplane mode, this usually helps me reconnect to LTE.
2. Update your PRL and Profile.
Every Sprint PRL. (includes everything you need to know about PRLs)
3. Install LTE Discovery on the Google Play Store.
Good luck.

Then it is safe to say it is a hardware issue, return and try again.
I was on the phone with Sprint Tech support for almost a full 45 minutes. The preliminary determination was that my SIM card # did not match up with what Sprint was showing on their computers. Unfortunately I'm not near an LTE area so I don't know if it worked or not.
I will post my findings tomorrow for those who have any interest.

That is good info. Maybe this thread should be a sticky. What would be nice is a way for users to verify their SIM card #s online.
Question - Is the SIM card just for 4GLTE? I did see one in my Note 3 but my past CDMA/Wimax Sprint phones didn't require a SIM card. I thought only GSM phones required a SIM card.
I bought a Note-3 off of swappa.com, didn't come with SIM card.......so finally figured out that was the reason why I'm not getting 4GLTE.
Picked up a SIM card from Sprint, all is good.........I now have 4GLTE.
