[Q] Help. Stuck in Android system recovery<3e> - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi i managed to update my tab to the latest firmware 4.0.4 . Previously it was already rooted and TWRP installed. I was thinking of rooting and backing up this build so from romtoolbox i boot into recovery mode (thinking that i will be seeing TWRP) But when boot i was shown the folllowing picture

since all of my buttons are not working (hence the reason installing TWRP ) i was ok fine lets reboot it via adb. therefore i run adb reboot and yet it still boots back to the same screen . Thinking i need to reverting all of the changes via odin i tried reboot download also does not work. reboot-bootloader also does not work. apprently i am stuck at this screen.
Right now i only have access to adb and is there any way i can recover from this?
many thanks again

I'm assuming you were running some kind of custom rom with TWRP as your recovery before going to stock ICS. Essentially, flashing stock ICS overwrote the old TWRP.
To fix it, flash in TWRP again (its somewhere in the development section) via Odin.
EDIT: If you can't access download mode... Try push the TWRP .tar file via ADB

the thing is i only root and installed twrp for the sake of backing up since my daughter loves to install application. I've read about pushing / Installing application but that would requires root right? this is my command console like
Right now is there a way to force it to boot into download because thats the only way i see i can fix it (without using physical buttons)
Again many thanks for replying.

Rooted Galaxy S2 (via galaxys2root.com), now I cannot get into ClockworkMod Recovery?

I rooted my Galaxy S2 just now (using this method / The easy root method on galaxys2root.com).
I didn’t install the ClockworkMod Recovery as in the further video on galaxys2root.com as a lot of comments from people were saying that it bricked their phone!!! So I installed ROM MANAGER from the Market (Google Play) and flashed ClockworkMod Recovery from within the ROM Manager app.
When I then did 'reboot into recovery' I got this screen come up... (not my actual screenshot by the way, but I get the same error messages coming up) as it was trying to run the UPDATE.ZIP file.

It also won't let me flash CM9 or any other ROM as it comes up with the same message
What am I doing wrong here? It seems to also say Android System Recovery at the top rather than ClockworkMod Recovery :?
Install cfroot kernel..dats much better..
Just checking now... Thanks
Flash the tar file of cf root or any other custom kernels via Odin, you will get back cwm

Using the easy zergrush method only gives root and superuser, nothing more.
It doesn't include clockworkmod as zedomax mentioned, but he did make another guide on how to flash clockworkmod.
I tried to flash it via clockworkmod too, but it doesn't seem to work with this method for some reason I although I haven't used it, I think cf-root would be better.

Impressive root failure (please help!)

After managing to unlock via fake cid, installing twrp recovery, my attempt to install nj's Kangbang rom failed (something like com.android.core errors) Attempted Rancun Soff, made it partially through but my command window repeatedly froze at step where original RUU is installed.. (using win vista 32 bit) ..
Been going mad trying to fix this, and now can only gt to the bootloader screen- fastboot works, but get errors trying to flash any image- same with any attmpt to artificially place PJ53Img.zip (recovery, RUU, rom...) or any other file on external sd, then booting.
Essentially stuck with this screen (or Fastboot)....

ukb is based off the old software, therefore you have to flash the boot.img of the old software via adb.nits has both te new and old boot images posted here somewhere.
unfortunately, at the moment i am unable to successfully flash anything via fastboot...no twrp, no stock recovery...
You said in the OP that you unlocked your bootloader. You'll need to re-lock if before the RUU will successfully install.
sorry, thought i posted this screenshot earlier- i am relocked but this is the only gui i can access
I know this seems obvious, but are you getting the stock image files from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770978 ?

Flashed over boot by mistake and cant boot phone. Help!

I was really dumb and wanted to unroot so i decided to flash a stock_recovery.img to my Huawei LYO-L01. When prompted where to i selected boot without looking it up first :crying: Now when i open my phone i get a black screen that says
Android system recovery <3e>
LYO-L21C479B102
Reboot system now
apply update from ADB etc. etc.
I can still boot into TWRP and have a folder with some recovery files from when i rooted my phone.
How can i get my phone back into a bootable state?
EDIT: I imagine i can just get a fresh boot img form extracting this update.app i see everyone taking about but i dont know where to get an update.app. Can someone point me towards a download?

Well if you can boot into Twrp you just soft bricked your device so that should be easy to fix.
What you can do is: Restore an Backup of Stock Rom if you have one.
Or restore stock rom via an update.app file made for your device. (Something like this: https://boycracked.com/2017/06/15/official-huawei-honor-5a-lyo-l01-stock-rom-firmware/ )
Next time root with Magisk, is much better, is systemless and you can hide root from other apps easily and has a lot of usefull features.
I hope this helped you.
If it did, the thanks button works well

I'm kinda desperate to get my phone working agian so any help is appreciated
Can you tell me what makes this problem complicated?
On a side note, what is the intended use of stock_recovery.img and stock.img and where am I meant to flash them?
ok i now see i WAS meant to run "flash recovery stock_revovery.img" or something to that effectin the console but i guess i have bigger fish to fry right now
oh wait i had a backup PANIC AVERTED

I may have broke my Nabi 2

I tried to put TWRP on my Nabi 2 using NabiLab and it worked, so I wanted to restore it to OEM recovery to see if that works too. When I went to the recovery screen it did this.
[IMG="Nabi 2 not reading any files"]https://I.postimg.cc/8zHNwWz0/image.jpg]
I tried reflashing TWRP and then putting the stock recovery back on, but I got the same result Could someone help me?
Also, the Nabi will boot and work fine, I just need to be able to use the “apply update from external storage” on the stock recovery, and the backup feature on the TWRP recovery. If someone could point me to a TWRP link for the Nabi 2 that works, that would also be helpful. I can use Fastboot. I can flash images using Fastboot. The only thing that keeps me from going back to the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM or the Jellybean ROM is that Fastboot tells me that the file is too large.

Seems like you're trying to flash a Nabi SE recovery image on a Nabi 2, which I don't think will work. I'm not sure which one will pertain to your Nabi, but here is a collection of custom recoveries for Nabi 2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Fuhu_nabi_2#Custom_Recovery_.28TWRP_by_aicjofs.29).
