Galaxy S duos Custom ROM question - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, Coming from LG Optimus One. I have done quite a number of flashing on that phone to understand how its done. Regarding this new one, I've seen on the Custom ROM threads that the ROMs are tested on certain basebands only. Mine is none listed. But I do see download link for other basebands in those thread. Can I flash those baseband and then the custom ROM?

Korean Optimus One Cutom ROMs

i heard that it is possible to root & install custom recovery properly & flash custom rom onto the Korean version of the P500, the Optimus One. Apparantly, there are some more functions like DMB.. and there seems to be a driver problem. The phone doesn't boot when flashed with a custom ROM. Can anyone try to build a custom ROM for the Korean optimus one? i do not own a korean optimus one, but i can ask the dudes back in twitter for the stock ROM. If anyone requests the stock ROM, i will post it here. Thx in advance.
why dnt u try makin it urself,
Its not that hard.
Really basic unix and copy paste
I agree to ccdreadcc's suggestion. Create your own ROM based on your device's firmware.
Guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901417
Since I have no idea what DMB is, and I cant test your version of the O1 anyway, this is my suggestion

Problems with flashing Gingerbread-2.3.4-rc4.1 /CM7.

Well pretty much I manage to flash andys rom onto my LG Optimus T but it never detects my carrier. I flash between the leaked Gingerbread rom from LG and this one and the leaked one always detects my GSM network and andys says that it cannot contact it. Can anyone help me solve his problem?
You shold flash any official 2.2 rom via flasher and only THEN flash custom ROM's.
It has happened because radio module was renewed in official 2.3.3 and custom ROM's cant work with it.
theres topic in general section! if you read it you will find that gsm doesnt work after leaked rom if you dont flashed offical via kdz first!
Furthermore, this question should be asked in General section also, not in development section

Afterwards, you can look on this page for all the custom roms:

Keep in mind to follow the directions exactly so you won't brick your Note.
Also, baseband doesn't really matter too much...

Changing from aosp rom to stock touchwiz

Hello all, so right now im on slimbean 4.3 rom and was considering returning to stock 4.3 (mk6) jellybean update. I've read around the threads that there are rom which are prerooted and deodexed and can be flashed in cwm, but im not so sure about the modem part, as ive never changed my modem since purchasing the phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569180
Can anyone advice me about this and what should i do? When i check my about phone it is i9300XXEMA5
Also if i flash a custom stock rom like this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541054
Do I have to change the modem?
You need to read the faqs and guides .
You need to read the custom rom description regarding modems some include a modem .
The rom you linked to says almost at the top of its introduction .
<<<<<(this flashes the MK6 modem(EFS V2) and the new version does not include an option to backup.) >>>>
It flashes a new modem .
so if it gives several options for modems in aroma installer, which one should i choose?
