Ruu for latest update - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I don't know if I'm missing it but I need to return my phone to stock. I'm on h boot 1.12 s-off. But the rom I am using is captain throwbacks. I don't want to mess up the phone because I have to return it. I'm on the latest radio and firmware. Just trying to give what information I can so I do this the right way. Thanks to anyone who may help.

You can run VipeRUU to return your phone back completely stock, locked & S-on. There is no RUU version higher than what VipeRUU offers.

Return to stock

I am selling my Rezound today and i need to return it to its stock form. I am S-Off with ICS firmware and a different hboot. Cant remember which one. What are the steps i need to take? Do i just run the 2.01.605.11 ruu. Then put back to s-on and then relock bootloader?

I believe that should cover it, but depending on who you sell it to they're probably not going to notice s off

You didn't unlock through htcdev after you did s-off did you? If you didn't then theres no need to relock it will show locked.
Sent From My HTC Rezound
No I didn't unlock. That's right. So will the next owner be able to receive ota's if I keep it s-off?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yeah as long as it has the stock recovery there shouldn't be a problem receiving ota's while s-off.
Sent From My HTC Rezound
Now what ota can I flash? Should I do the last latest gb one or the latest official ics one?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I would say go a head and flash the official ICS since it already started rolling out anyway.

Going trully s-off

Hello everyone, I have seen and heard many amazing things about downgrading the bootloader, so I'm thinking of downgrading my evo 3d bootloader, but I would like to have some insights about it, the proper way of doing it, I took the sprint update and automatically updated to bootloader 1.58, I'm running meanrom ics v 2.6, and I used htc dev unlock, to unlock my e3d, as a side note, I must say that I haven't had any problems flashing roms, so far I have been able to flash any rom without any bootlops, so do you guys think that I could benefit downgrading to a lower boot, i hear 1.40 is good, remember that I took the update and I'm on htc boot 1.58, thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge with me.

If you want to flash aosp or GB ROMs, you will need to downgrade your hboot, otherwise, don't worry about it. If you do want to, you will need s-off.

Since you can flash ICS ROMs without bootloops, then don't mess with anything. You're one of the lucky ones!

I'd go with the wiretrick homeboy Downgrading is bogus and wiretrick takes like 20 minz
EVO 3DIZZLE
S-OFF
HBOOT 1.58

http://db.tt/T6eecDpL s-off its got everything u need put it on it harddisck its got fasboot and adb and juonuperbear
EVO 3DIZZLE
S-OFF
HBOOT 1.58
DONE, I'm officially s-off, did it using the same rom I have, took me 5 minutes to do it, success

It's so easy that I'm surprised at the resistance to it.
S-off > Locked with Tapatalk 2
Indeed it is, didn't have to install a ruu, I did it with the same ics rom I have, all I had to do was unzip the files on my adb folder and run it from there, after 5 mins, I was done
Sent from my meaned ICS v2.6 e3d using tapatalk 2
Have you been able to flash aosp ROMS other than MIUI? (i flashed this successfully) I tried AOKP but got booltloop im on boot 1.58 s-off unlocked
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Don't know, so far I have been able to flash mostly any rom on the xda evo 3d developers thread

Afaik, GB and all aosp/aokp Roms do not boot using that h-boot.

So as of now our only option to downgrade hboot to 1.40? I tried paranoid, anorexia and aopk and all bootloop.

All of those are aosp/aokp. Hence the bootloops. Downgrading to an earlier hboot
is the only option at this time.

I was just wondering can i just relock bootloader and run RUU from PC? Do i need to change radio or the RUU will take care of that?

If you want to lose s-off and go completely stock then that's what you would do.

Oh. That wasn't clear and some people do.
You have two choices then: you can flash a stock rooted Rom if you want root, or you can just run the ruu.exe without locking first. This will put you back at stock Rom with stock recovery but still s-off.

And if I try to update my phone to ICS, if i flash GB RUU, will i brick my phone since its unlocked?

It would be best to flash an ics ruu. I think you can flash a GB ruu and update since you are s-off, but I wouldn't.

Need help bad!!!!

I origanally rooted using the hboot downgrade method to 1.4. I am running Common Sense Rom with Cools kernel and I have upgraded my hboot to jbears 1.58. Now my speaker quit working and everything from the splash screen to the recovery is custom. My computer no longer exists due to my ex wife. Is there any way to return my phone to out of the box stock without a computer. I still have my backup I made right after I downgraded my hboot but that's not going to help I don't think. Please help.

How to return to stock?

I have the HTC One from T-Mobile I unlocked the bootloader and rooted and flashed a ROM, I forgot to backup and now I need to return the phone back to stock and I need help.
I need to relock bootloader and unroot and get the phone back as it was when I got it please help.
I searched online and here and could not find a way unless I some how missed it.
An RUU is available. I hear it is currently corrupted, but should be fixed in a day or so. Use this to return to stock, or check out the thread from behold_this in General. His files should get you back to 100% stock if you can't wait for the RUU.

Which is a better or more official?
Thanks.
The RUU is straight from HTC/T-Mobile... but the files from behold_this are the same that would have been used in the previous RUU.

I just looked at it and he states only if you are on stock I might get boot loop
Then I would wait for the RUU if at all possible.
