Hi xda members,
first of all i've read through tons of post, searched google for an hour. Now I hope for your help. I own a "Sony Ericcson Xperia Mini Pro" (model number SK17i) running Android 2.3.3 (Kernel 2.6.32.8-perf, build number 4.0.A.2.335). It's branded by Orange Austria. I'm looking for a way to root it, but all I could find doesn't help.So far i've read the thread on rooting my phone and followed the guide mentioned there. That doesn't work as planned.
The problem seems to be the branding. Fastboot won't recognize my device since I'm not able to unlock the boot loader. The phone just goes to normal charging mode, when I press [volume up] while connecting the usb cable.
Hence my question: Is there a workaround to unlock the bootloader or an alternative way of rooting? I looked and found solutions for older Xperia phones with brandings and tried what I could. No success.
I would appreciate any help. Just point me into the right direction. Thanks!
Edit: So I found a post on unlocking the bootloader using the device's testpoint. According to one post he succeded in unlocking his orange branded phone. Unforunately some of the information there 404 so I can't reproduce that. Plz help!
Edit2: Now I'm a step futher. Problem now is that s1tool dies after the disconnect testpoint step. Any suggestions?
So this is where I'm stuck:
imageshack . us/photo/my-images/829/freezeu.png/
Weird URL due to new users not allowed to post outside links. I removed the testpoint and waited. Am I supposed to do something else? At one go I tried the [volume down] stuff with and without connected battery. That didn't help.
So for branded phones with *#*#7378423#*#* (service) -> "Service Info"-> "Configuration" -> "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" there is now way to unlock the bootloader?
Hi, i'm confused, i flashed my xperia x10i with x10_2.3.3_stock-with-xrecovery-v3.ftf, when i boot up,i get the custom logo as seen on youtube. When i dial the code in to get the system settings menu up, there is no sign of bootloader info, according to SE web site if this is'nt present then it can't be unlocked. Also, i can still use TrackID.
So, am i locked or unlocked ? ......Anyone ?......Please.
Problem solved,thanx to this post

my phone had the small r,so that meant the bootloader was unlocked,
Thanx Guys
Hi everybody! I'm new at this forum, i come from xperia x8 forum, and I have problems with custom kernels. I have a xperia Neo V, and I just cant connect the phone in fastboot mode. I'm not sure if it is properly bootloader-unlocked, as in the oficial sony's webpage it said that cdma devices cannot be unlocked (check http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/), and I think that is the standard in Europe isn't it? (I'm from spain). Also, I checked the service menu and it also indicates that the bootloader cannot be unlocked.
Anyway i tried through the testpin-s1 tool method and everything seemed to work fine, i got the output with the two lowercase "r", but not the messages showing the model, software version, custom version, filesystem version and serial number, as said in vimjam's guide (check the post regarding unlock BL here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409269).
When I try to connect it in fastboot mode it just shows the sony ericsson logo and starts to charge, not showing any blue led. I know that this happens in locked devices, but the two lowecase "r" in s1 tool indicate that it is unlocked, so i dont understand... Can someone tell me if my phone is properly unlocked, or if custom kernels can be flashed connecting the device in flash mode (as it does work for me)? Thanks in advance
Eventhough your bootloader is now unlocked, your fastboot is still locked, you have sim-locked phone and you need to pay to unlock it.
ok, so you mean I have to sim-unlock my phone in adition to bl-unlock to connect it in fastboot mode? can this be done in wotanserver or i have to take it to some tech service?

Hello everyone!
My Huawei Mediapad 10 Link+ (S10-231u) has stuck on the boot logo, and I can only access fastboot mode (no recovery, not even dload installation). However, the bootloader is locked, preventing me from flashing new images and fixing the tablet.
I have, of course, the Serial Nr. and the IMEI, but Huawei's Unlock Page doesn't let me proceed without the Product ID, which I can't find, since I can't boot into System. Is there any way to find the Product ID, or to get the bootloader unlock code without it?
Thanking you in advance for any help!

Hi: I'm still stuck in the same problem, but with S10-231L device. Were you able to find any solution for this?
Much appreciated.
Hi, xda experts hope you are fine and enjoying good health. From yesterday i encountered a very serious problem.
My huawei P7-L00 got bricked and i can't boot into recovery nor in system. Only thing in favour of mine is ,phone boots in fastboot/rescue mode.
I had followed steps on different forums on internet to unlock the bootloader but with no luck. I have got my bootloader unlock code from huawei official site. I can't unlock bootloader through this unlock code. it says Okay, no confirmation and the phone reboots into fastboot/rescue mode. It says Phone Locked. I wanted to get out of this.
I'll be very thankful to all of you if you can suggest me with a workaround.:good::good::good:
Thanks
