I had been testing the December 1st build
and I couldn't get to grips with the kind of bugs
it kept coming up with each passing day...
Agreed it is unstable (Understatement). But the
Devs are working their asses off for a stable
build going through Logcats. I am not sure when
you can expect the next build for 4.4 as all of
the devs are having issues getting it to XU.
Chameleon 4.4 was also being ported from Sola
but the project has gone off the rail. So till then i
can only ask you to be patient and if you need
an everyday working XU then shift to any of the
Lower Roms. Personally i have been using the
CM 10 Linaro Limited Edition JB.

Remembering wi-fi networks
I've been using this rom for a little while and i'm very happy because i got a boost of performance while getting new features. :victory:
But i had to type my wifi password each time i connect and this is a known bug.
The thing is that the developer released a new update (not in the 1st post but in this post) that could have fix wi-fi but it does something strange.
When i boot my phone, it connects to the wifi, so it remembers but if i turn off wifi, i can't turn it on anymore
So what can i do ?
PS : I would like to make a donation to the developers because that is a good damn rom in my opinion ! :good:
But i can't find how.

Pm the developer. They'll tell you

Sorry, i thought you were responding to me so I wondered why you were speaking about the build I just talked about.
Anyway, it's just a misunderstanding.

The bug you are having is related to the framework permissions and the devs have acknowledged it but no fix is found for it as of now. The latest on this front is that they are trying to get the Maclaw sources and will probably be coming up with a new build by tomorrow or day after... Do remember these are Nightlies and will have their share of bugs

as of my information , you may hve to wait till a stable update , maybe till December end .

@Jekin Makwana
There was a patch posted actually. In the U or P thread. Most Probably by gitgux. If you can't find it try asking him. Please do Not ask this in the dev thread. Tag him here or pm him.
P.S. I could be wrong, but even if he didn't release it he definitely mentioned something of the sort

Add file to /system/lib and /system/lib/hw. You'd probably be asked to replace an earlier file. Do that. In both places set permissions to rw-r-r, to the files.

Like all my threads, I want to give credit and thank you for those that help me along the way and make these ROMs/MODs and everything I do possible!

Special THANKS to Sean8172 for testing for me, as I don't own this device!
- All of Team D.I.R.T and everyone that supports us!
* If you feel that your name should be in the OP for one reason or another, please PM and I'll get you up there if I forgot you
Fully compiled from AOSP source ( source.android.com) with their (Slim Rom team) mods and interesting ones from CM/AOKP.
Feature requests are welcomed as this is an unofficial ROM and I can do what I please with it.
As per the Slim ROM team, no ports based on my ROM zip or their ROM zip at all! Their manifest is updated regularly and they encourage building from source.
Code:
[B][COLOR="red"]- Initial release of Slim Bean 4.2.1[/COLOR][/B]
Check out the feature list http://slimroms.net/index.php/slim-bean-features
- Please do a full complete wipe, at least 2-3 times (everything but your sdcard) before flashing.
- Please remember that I DO NOT OWN this device and that this is a WIP type of ROM.
- Provide a logcat and/or as much detail as possible or your bug will be ignored.
- Remember the XDA rules! Please be respectful to each other, I do this for free and have NO TIME for the BS!
- If and when someone does step out of line, either ignore them or report them, don't feed the trolls...PLEASE!!

- Camera
- Recent apps key
- Most likely more stuff, please provide logcats with your bug reports....PLEASE!! :good:

Source for the ROM - https://github.com/Slimroms
Source for the Kernel - https://github.com/mazdarider23/android_kernel_htc_msm8960
Q - I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
A - Don't freak out! Pull a logcat and paste it on to pastebin and provide me a link in the thread to it. Along with the logcat, please provide me with as much information as possible. Things that you would think could help me fix this issue.....i.e what kernel you're running, what happened, what did you prior to the bug/issue.
Q - How do I pull a logcat?
A - Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
Q - Do I have to wipe before flashing??
A - YES, even if you're coming from a previous version of this ROM. By doing a full wipe each time, it not only avoids any issues that come from not wiping BUT if you report an issue, I then know that is a legit problem and not because of lack of wiping.
Q - I see (Insert developer name) has fixed this or has added this feature, are you going to do the same?
A - NO! No disrespect to that developer but I have not and will not keep up with what other developers are doing.
Q - I'm getting "Incompatible" errors in the Google Playstore, what can I do?
A - Don't freak out!! Read this post by spycom773469, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36319242&postcount=59
If the problem continues, then please pull a logcat and post the url to the logcat so I can troubleshoot this issue further[/I]

Another one just in case......
Thanks mazda.
I dont think the last faq question doesnt apply.
Sorry. Mods please move me so he can get his reserve spots. Sorry mazda didnt even see this was just posted.
Edit: youre quick nm you already deleted it
I'm gonna lay down for a few hours, get some rest!
Who ever flashes this ROM, let me know of any issues that you may find! :good:
Please provide a logcat and/or a detail description of any bugs you find and I'll try to fix it later when I get up!
Later!

Boohooo.. Now run to mommy and tell how I hurt your feelings.
And now in all seriousness, theres no such thing as ideal value for zram, hell its an experimental feature, may or may not give good result. Recommend value for noob really is zero, ie dont use it. Linux kernel source put it in staging section where all feature that arent approve by upstream were. Cyanogen put it in the perfomance menu in setting where it pops warning about dragons ahead, and its not activated by default. Its not endorse by linux kernel nor by cyanogen. Got the picture now?

https://github.com/cm42semc
I've buit cm-10.1 this morning but it refuses to boot and sits at a black screen. I'll do more testing tmr as I just have this lunch break before I go to my next class and then work. I don't think we need to update Dan's kernel for 4.2.2 but it's too soon to tell.

[Guide] MiniTAB ROM based off of Galaxy Tab 10.1

THIS GUIDE IS OUTDATED
PLEASE GO HERE
------------------------------------------------------------
There was a bounty going on in general to get his ROM working. So any interested dev's may be interested in claiming the bounty.
I wrote a quick guide on how to get the ROM working on our devices.
Credit goes to all the people in the original threads below who created the various parts. They are the ones who deserve the credit -- I only cobbled the the necessary steps together in a guide -- their work made it possible.
Mods - Apologies if this is not okay to post in the Android Development forum.
------------------------------------------------------------
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2215752
------------------------------------------------------------
Before we begin, you are doing this at your own risk.
[begin]
Download these files:
(ROM) & (DPI Fix) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261818
(Modem) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40974758&postcount=2
(Patch) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232516
(Kernel) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2154378
Do these steps IN ORDER:
Make sure you are on TWRP 2.5.0.0
Add ROM to zip queue
Add MODEM to zip queue
Add PATCH to zip queue
Add KERNEL to zip queue
Add DPI FIX to zip queue
Flash queued zip files
Reboot
It will take your phone about five to seven minutes to boot
You will receive some FC's and other errors, ignore them.
Complete the setup wizard
Download ROM Toolbox from the play store
In ROM Toolbox, go to the second tab (swipe to the left) and open the build.prop editor.
Swipe right, select DPI and change it to 160
Save the changes and reboot when prompted
Once rebooted, you are running the minitab ROM
Bugs:
-Keyboard is misaligned
-Occasional FC's
-You can only open the settings menu by placing a settings WIDGET on the desktop
Tips:
-Use Titanium Backup to freeze the Sprint voicemail app so it doesn't keep popping up
Update:
What works:
-Boot
-Touch screen
-Sound
-Cellular voice & data
-WiFi
-GPS
-SystemUI (fixed)
What doesn't work:
-Settings.app > must launch via a WIDGET on the home screen, NOT, a shortcut.

Nice DL now an will test it out was trying to get this to work as well but had no luck thanks man way to go...will let u know how it goes
Gimmie my thanks too......I'm sure you will have to make some build prop edits and get rid of the sprint stuff in system/apps. Those will take care of a few fc's.

You have to manually add mod settings.XML to data/data/xposed.mod.settings/shared prefs. Please refer to the other device threads as I can't keep up with them all. First you must click xposed installer and click modules. Click boxes for appsettimgs and tweakerbox and then update and reboot. Then add the modsetyingd

Dont worry about it there already in the port, You will probably have to use a contacts.apk from one of your stock roms, Im sure I will attempt to fix this but its going to be a few days because of work. I was going to do this yesterday but the OP seems to have disappeared, Probably because he flashed the sprint version =/
Sprint version works fine I've been running it for 4 days now all fcs are gone except settings still working on that

[MOD] Android theme Engine - for Samsung TW based and AOSP base

Anyone wanna try editing your signal icon or making a custom text on it,you can try Android Theme Engine , works on my current rom Xtreme v3 (TW 4.4.2 based ),or maybe you can try on any AOSP based rom.
-Install xposed Installer
-install APK
-Activate module
-Choose whatever you want and reboot
Not all setting worked, but at least you still can make over your icon on statusbar ?,plus this one also compatible with wanam xposed. I tried with centering the clock and scrolling wallpaper. Try it,youll gonna love it ( dont forget to backup )?
Note: And this isnt my work ?,you can find the original thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582494 ,just wanna make it simple for N2 user. Dont forget to thank them as well ?

Where is the link to original thread? If this ain't your work then you MUST link us to the OP.Also while sharing someone else's work you need to mention him in credits @nitol I saw you objected to the very same thing in DN3 thread when someone uploaded a link of some developer's work without linking or giving credits to the developer thread. How come you didn't do the same this time or care to find out if this was his work or not and if it wasn't where's the link to the original thread.
I might sound rude but I fail to understand when people share someone else's work and forget to do it in the right manner. So please @dollyaja make changes to your OP if this aint your work.
I had from friend in facebook, and he doesnt have any xda account, and i dont ask him where he gets it. I will mention him if he has an account. So if this is a mistaken against the rules, i dont mind if the mod will delete this thread, idc because i just wanna share, not hoping people will give me thanks to refill my thank meter. oh.. OP's done bos ? sorry for being newbie on opening thread ?

Well i think this is the original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-android-theme-engine-theme-android-t2582494.It's okay now at least you are aware of how to give credits or warn people that this is not your work.I doubt the moderator will delete your thread I just want the developer's work to be appreciated that's all. Thanks for updating your OP .
Edit:You don't need to mention your friend's name you need to ask him where exactly he got this app from.If it was shared from outside of xda then don't bother but if the same app was grabbed by your friend from xda (you can do that without having an xda account) then you must give credits to the original developer cause I found that exact app by a simple google search and linked me back to xda..Your friend doesn't need a mentioning.

@dollyaja, mangtabs gan.. :cendols akhirnye bisa gonta-ganti icon sinyal..
oops, sorry for my language.. :fingers-crossed: :ngakak
here's mine changed into iOS theme signal bar..
btw, how you change your label/font for your Dock Icon..? you got small pict/icon in there.. please share it too..
for other users, if you have problem or nothing changes after restart SystemUI or reboot, you need check whether you already have another mods for your SystemUI or notification panel, it might conflicted with this mods..
signal bar mod for example, if you use wanam xposed, you have to disable the mod for signal, eg; signal bar count/number (in notification panel menu) or the themed signal bar (in theme menu)..
from then, now you can change the icon with Android theme Engine.. :good:
