Hi guys!
I can not run flash mode in a neo (note here, this is not my phone, I only trying to repair it somehow).
When I turn it on, only sony logo appears, than xperia logo aaaand it reboots. When I'm trying to start flashmode, (holding "back" than connecting to pc) it is just turning on, sony logo, charging (also when I'm trying to start fastboot mode). What can I do with it?
(plus info: the owner of this phone was try to upgrade his rom to android 4.1.2, and I don't know... maybe he did not unlock the bootloader or didn't flash the kernel or what...)
Try restoring the phone with sony companion

To enter flash mode, you need to hold the "Menu" key and not the "back" key while attaching it to the PC. Make sure you do this when the device is turned OFF!

my phone dont enter the XRecovery !!!
what can i do ?
no any other way to install new kernel for add Xrecovery with FlashTool ?
My Status:
1.My phone hang on Sony Ericsson logo
2.My phone cant enter in Xrecovery mode.
3.I cant install new kernel with Flashtool bcoz debugging mode is off.
I had the same problem. I made a thread about it and the solution is on the second page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340161
Basically you got a boot loop and will need to flash a new stock rom and root it again and then put your custom roms if you want.
The solution goes until unlocking a bootloader. If you don't need this, don't do it.

Alright, one thing is what you can do is.
use pc companion and going back to the original Android 2.3
and start all over again.
PC companion asks you to drag down USB,how do you do that,if you are stuck in the start up screen?

No... Just turn off your phone and take out the battery and unplug the USB.
Now hold the back button and put the battery in, it will boot in recovery mode, the green led on the top will light up.
Here you need to plug in the USB quick and flash the stock rom with the flashtool (I suggest having it already selected and the mouse on the button FLASH for quicker use, because the phone does not stay in recovery mode for long, at least mine didnt,)

Hi,
I tried to upgrade mi xperia neo to Tweake 1.0 with the recovery, and now dont start.
When i power the phone or plug the charger appears the Sony Ericcson logo and continues there all time.
I can´t enter in flash mode (son i can´t use seus or flash tool), always appears other time the sony ericsson logo.
The bootloader is closed.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Are you sure that you are doing the correct procedure to use flash mode on the phone? Here it is:
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Remove the battery for at least 10 seconds.
3. Insert the battery again.
4. Press and hold the "back" button on the phone.
5. While still holding the "back"button pressed connect the phone with teh usb cable to the pc. Flashtool should now recognize the phone.

So, there are two ways:
1. flashmode (green LED) have still work, so do as neptun2 advices.
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Remove the battery for at least 10 seconds.
3. Insert the battery again.
4. Press and hold the "back" button on the phone without pressing "power on" button
5. While still holding the "back"button pressed connect the phone with teh usb cable to the pc. Flashtool should now recognize the phone.
Click to collapse
or
2. if recovery still works, try to do all wipes again (data, cache, dalvik-cache)
Thaks to all.
I can´t access to the recovery, and i don´t see the green led when i plug the cable.
check this out. may be it will help you...

I'm with the same problem here in my Xperia Neo, it just shows Sony Ericsson, i can't open recovery, can't do hard reset, and can't reset via PC Companion.. :/
@edit
problem solved, i made the bootloader (first time *-*), then i flashed a stock rom by SE, and it worked!
When I turn on my Xperia Mini, I first see the sony logo and then I see the xperia logo and then the screen turns off. The phone automatically starts again with the sony logo, xperia logo and so on.
I have tried starting the phone in safe mode by holding down the volume key or by repeatedly pressing the menu button but both of them do not work. I have also tried to "repair" the phone via the PC Companion but it detects the phone only momentarily(as it switches on).
This problem started soon after I had switched on the bluetooth radio on my phone.
My phone is running on Android 4.0.4
This problem did occur in the past but I was able to open the safe mode then and a factory reset solved the problem at that time.No such luck now.
How can I hard reset the phone without reaching the menu??
Or is there any other way to solve this problem??
Please help.

Have you tried to install a custom rom or have you got any idea why this is happening?
Do you know how to flash with flashtool? If not look in my signature there is a rooting guide. In the rooting guide on how to root gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.62/69 you can see how to flash with flashtool and after that, if you want, root it.
If your phone wasn't rooted and your bootloader is locked and you haven't installed any app which could cause this problem, bring phone to service, but only if this could be hardware related and you haven't modified anything
Oh my science! You've been here since 2009 and this is your first post!?!?
Don't worry Your kernel is clean the problem is with the Rom.
Just flash the stock firmware ftf for your phone using flashtool and it'll be brand new again!
This will be useful
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792
There are numerous tutorials about flashing ftf through flashtool just google it (the above link will be also useful).
Flashtool can be used with locked bootloader . You can use it on a out of box phone right away.

I have experienced the same problem with my Xperia mini pro (SK17i). Just try to switch off Bluetooth before it restart. May be it will work on your device too.
Is it possible that bluetooth problem is an issue on android 4.0 ICS?

I too faced the same problem in my ST15i....Bluetooth works fine for a few times and after that suddenly it creates bootloop. When for the first time i went to the service center he told me that the ICS release is having a bug and it is not completely compatible.
I have also tried many custom roms with my bootloader locked. But the problem is same.
I feel that the problem is with the stock kernel and stock ICS rom compatibility.
Devs, please look into this and please develop a perfect solution. :good::fingers-crossed:
phone not starting up
i also have this rebooting problem b4 that time i just unlocked my bootloader by test point method the mobile functioned properly
but again the same problem exists this time i tried relocking bootloader by test point method and tried to flash it.Also i tried using s1 tools also after that my mobile is not even switching on 1 vibration is coming and no other further action

phone is not detected on pc and can't start phone in fast or flashboot, the LED turns green for 1 or 2 sec than turns red then the phone start (sony logo then black screen)
Then install drivers again
Install those from flashtool\drivers folder choose the ones for xperia u,p,sola,go and last 2 optins also, thats fastboot and flash drivers.
Open flashtool and try plug phone in fastboot mode, watch the led, if it start booting remove phone and watch right down on your pc screen to see if its installing. When it finish try again.

Force power off, press power + volume up untill you feel (1+) 3 vibrations and try.
Try fastboot too and see if there is anything in flashtool log.

You had fastboot/flash mode working before and now they don't?
Do you feel the 3 vibrations?
Is it charging when pluged to cahrger when off, or even with sony logo?

I don't understand?! I can't go in flashboot mode, how can I flash with stock firmware ? and does stock firmware means the factory one?
if the led is turning green it means you can. but if you dont immeadiately flash stock firmware. it will boot. so you need to prepare stock ftf firmware for your device, choose it, wait for flashtool to tell you to connect your phone in flashmode. then connect your phone in flashmode

Yes it's a problem, but I've seen a few that have managed to fix it by disconnecting the battery.

Nope, u need to open it and disconnect it
You dont need disconnect anything. Your phone is not bricked, its working. The only problem is your drivers, you have to manage install them and it will work. This has been here thousand times.

Hi guys. I'm sorta new to xperia devices so all of your suggestions may be able to help me. I am stuck in a bootloop, after the xperia boot animation appears the phone restarts. Even trying to get to recovery mode, it restarts, I tried to connect it to flash tool by holding down volume up before connecting but even that methof doesn't work. The phone still reboots. It's xperia sola btw.

Before connecting to flashtool you must turn it off, hold down volume up + power kays until you feel (1+) 3 vibrations.
You may also want to try to repair with PC Companion instead using flashtool.
I also did try that. "Holding down power and volume up" but before it could be detected by the pc, it reboots
