[Q] My device is set to the wrong country firmware - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have a GT-P5110 and live in the UK, my device is updating to the XEF firmware, is there a way to alter these setting to pick up the BTU update to 4.2.2?
Thanks

[Q] Change of ROM and Unknown CSC

Hi, first post, but have been using all the helpful info from the forums for 6 months now with my TF201, this is related to my new i9300. I'll try to be as descriptive as I can:
Black i9300 purchased last week in the UK, but currently has the TGY (Hong Kong) CSC code. I tried flashing to the UK JB ROM on Sammobile but came back with an unknown CSC error. Fair enough. I followed some instructions i found to get to BTU CSC code:
Flash back to BTU ICS
Flash BTU CSC package
Use Galaxy CSC changer to select BTU
Reboot, now with a fully working ICS build, and BTU CSC (I9300OXAALF2).
However at this point i wasn't able to find any official OTA updates and Kies told me that my device was not compatible with kies updates.
Flashed the original JB UK ROM I downloaded and now i'm back with the unknown CSC.
Any ideas? I've already tried flashing the CSC package onto JB and that's not worked, so now i'm really stumped. As far as I can tell i've removed all HK CSC codes from my device as it was happy as BTU with ICS...
Thanks

[Q] Flashing Galaxy S2 to ORO

Hi, I live in Romania and after I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 I had the unpleasant surprise to see the phone has a Italian firmware (3Mobile.it - ICS 4.0.3) and CSC - HUI. The phone is unlocked and my Orange SIM works fine but can't change the CSC code .. only HUI is available. The question is if I want to flash the phone with an ORO - Orange firmware witch has ICS 4.0.4 will I encounter problems afterwards? Will the phone be locked on Orange?
You can flash firmware for any region you like. However, you may not be able to get OTA updates when they're released for your region anymore due to the different CSC. Simple solution to that is to flash future updates manually with Odin like many people here do anyways (you can always get the latest firmwares for country/carrier with Checkfus).

[Q] Changing SCS questions.

Hi,
I have 2 Galaxy S2's here, one with SCS code XEN (Netherlands) and one with SEB(Baltic).
I want them both at a europe SCS code so I get the same updates on both devices.
If I check it via *#272*IMEI# I can choose on the SEB device to different countries (for example spain or france).
I do want to get the same updates on both devices so I have to change the SEB device to a europe country.
If I change the SCS code to spain (for example) would I get the OTA's which are in spain?
And if I change it, would my device be wiped?
I'm still at stock firmware (4.0.3) but would like to update to 4.0.4 just as the other device.
Thanks in advance.

Need some help with unbranding

Hi guys I have just got my Samsung Galaxy edge and its branded to 02 UK and I am going to unbrand it I wanted to know which Stock should I flash BTU OR XEU also will I need to change the csc ?
Pretty sure XEU is Europe unbranded (including UK) and BTU is just UK unbranded, flashing one of those should set your CSC to the version flashed. I have always flashed BTU
Sammobile actually has XEU listed as Ireland, so prob best go for BTU http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925F/BTU/
Thanks MrC85 thats what I have done just flashed the United Kingdom BTU its all set now........Do you reckon I just get the android updates quicker now ?

Click to collapse
I guess so, I tend to root mine etc (or use a custom ROM). so have to flash updates manually.

not finding firmware updates

Hi, I've flashed a new original firmware to my tab s3 to change to btu csc but now it doesn't find any updates automatically or manually when tapping check for updates, what can I do to fix this so it auto updates
Use VPN to UK for btu (if btu is UK) and see if it works.
