Hi, I was on cyanogen 10.2 then decided to go back to stock 4.1.2 samsung rom. ( intl Uk version) everything went fine but with 4.3 for the s3 nearly here I decided to use kies to check if there was any updates for my device, now when I plug it in it says "GT-I9300 Does not currently support upgrading" can anyone help me in fixing this issue? Ive tried updating drivers and re installing the firmware via odin but it doesn't work

How would I go about fixing this then? And you say wrong firmware but how can this be when I put my countries firmware onto my phone?

I'm running JB stock rom on my SGSIII (btu) , the official polish one , downloaded
from sammobile. I can still connect to KIES, but it tells me; your device doesn't support software upgrades via KIES.
What can I do to change this ????

Try To check if You have kies package in titanium backup, if Not kies wouldnt recognize tour phone

It's because it's from Sammobile, not from Kies. If you would have flashed it via Kies, it would still say your device supports (etc. ...)
I think ur phone is rooted n your device status is modified. Now you will Samsung has changed update checks. No modified devices will be able to get update.

That's just the thing. It WAS rooted and it doesn't say it's modified (anymore).

Cut and Paste Kies no update .
Rom is not for your phone .You now present Kies with wrong phone and firmware codes .
Wipe phone and reinstall your original saved firmware .Or download it from CHECKFUS .

Hi there i hope you can help me since im kind of a noob here.
Few weeks ago i unrooted my galaxy s3 (International version) and tried out some custom Roms but later i wanted to come back to the stock firmware so i unrooted and installed the stock jellybean Firmware but i had some charging issues, my S3 didnt charge so i downgraded to ICS Stock Firmware using ODIN but not i can not update my S3 to jellybean over the air OTA is not working even when i connect my device to Kies it states that i have the latest firmware.
Plz could anyone help me ??????
Im located in the middle east and the ICS firmware im using now is the Algerie, any advice ?

Hay today i bought sgs3 and its come with xxlf5 base and its rooted 4.0.4. I wonder if anybody have time to help me update my phone to a latest stock firmware.could not do it over the phone. Apriciated any help. Ty

Sammobile.com, download lastest I9300 rom for your region and odin it.
Or Kies.
Then Reroot
Is there in official firmware also a kernel

Jus try to update via Kies. Download Kies to Pc connect your phone via usb cable and whent its connected search for update. This is the easyest way. After u will be in 4.1.1 Just try this maybe helps.

Hay now iam on stock 4.1.2 polland firmware xxelkc, and have couple questions for devs. First of all whats the difference between android development and original android development. Second i am tottaly confused whit this kernels. A.e. if i want some custom rom what kernel do i need to use,

Not rooted, I downloaded the updated firmware from Sammobile(SPAIN PHE 4.1.2 XXELLA, Kernel 3.0.31-764725) and updated my phone through Odin(previously unrooted and restarted counter to 0), everything works perfectly, even the Samsung Kies recognizes it, the only two anomalies detected are: failing the update through the phone(waiting for response via samsung and 1h later it shows the same, updating.... i return with the home button and everything's ok) and It shows me no service even having a good signal.

Update via Kies or flash the rom or any stock rom via ODIN or take to Samsung .

I have the i9305 on 4.1.2 which I tried to root but used the i9300 CWM and lost the imei, wiped the phone and installed the firmware again that I got from sammobile and fixed the imei through odin which resulted in it working fine and rooted at the same time. Now I tried to update through kies to 4.2.1 which seemed to work perfectly fine but when it rebooted all that happened is my phone was unrooted and kies/OTA identified my phone as the latest firmware, I have managed to reroot but I can't find out how to get the latest official firmware update. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong or what to do from here?
p.s. I rarely post in any forums whatsoever, I normally find someone with the same problem so if there's a similar thread that I happened to somehow miss apologies in advanced.
S3 doesn't have a 4.2 yet..? The firmware you found on sammobile will probably be the latest
