[Q] 2.07 RUU????? - HTC Droid DNA

I have heard that there is an DNA 2.07 RUU leak out there somewhere. Has anyone seen it? As of right now I am at a brick and cannot get my DNA running again without that RUU. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

We can probably solve it, and there is no 2.07 ruu.
How did you brick your phone?

You're already replying on my other thread concerning the brick. I am s-on and locked but stuck in bootlaoder.
Been talking to beaups on IRC and he seems to think he saw the 2.07 RUU leak somewhere. It's the only way to fix it

Beaups got me fixed up. It isn't an exe file like the 1.15 but it includes everything needed you just have to flash it manually. Here is the link I used and it worked perfectly. It takes some time to figure out how to download it because everything is in Chinese but it works.

first of all, rename the file to something simple like "rom.zip"
then you type
fastboot flash zip rom.zip

Be very careful with the ENG Hboot. If you're just flashing ROM's and Kernels, you don't need it. ENG Hboot's make it easier to break things...

Worked perfectly for me, the bar got stuck 3/4 but the terminal had it finished, just issued a fastboot reboot.
Now..for the radio...fastboot flash radio <radio.img>?
Edit: nvm got the radio done too, for those wondering like I was, I was correct its fastboot flash radio radio.img. My first HTC device so I'm still learning.
can this be flashed the same way we used to do with the TBolt? by placing the appropriate file name on the root of the SDcard and it will automatically load when booted into hboot... it looks like PL83IMG.zip is the proper name... and where can I get the radios from the OTA update or do I just pull it from the OTA PKG?

Since we have no SD card, HBOOT doesn't look for the PL83IMG file, and yes, just pull the radios from the OTA and fastboot flash them and you should be good.

Since the DNA does not have an SDCard, it does not search for a PL83IMG.zip to the best of my knowledge. The updated firmware can be found in the firmware.zip in the OTAPkg.zip: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390288116658474558
im confused on how to extract the radio.img.. after i unzip the ota i cant extract the files from the firmware.zip it keeps giving me an invalid error... do we need this hboot just to flash a radio?

Redownload the ruu, also name it ruu.zip and try "fastboot flash zip ruu.zip" or "fastboot flash ruu ruu.zip.zip" in case you didn't enable extensions, also the.zip has a signature so I'd you unzip and then compress manually it won't work

It's very unlikely your zip is in "C:\WINDOWS\system32>"(this is a windows OS folder). You need to change directory to where the zip file is, before running the command.

the .exe utilities can be finicky,so if you have trouble getting it to run, you can extract "rom.zip" in the following manner:
-start the utility
-check the "i understand" box to move on to the next screen
-hide the utility temporarily out of site
-search your C drive for "rom.zip". you will find it in a temporary location(it will be in a different spot each time you run the utility)
-open the folder location, and transfer rom.zip to a safe location on your PC.
-unhide and cancel the utility, youre done with it.

if youre working with a booted, operational phone, you can flsh the file in the following manner:
-open a cmd window
-change to adb/fastboot directory
cd c:\foldername
(cd c:\mini-adb if youve used any of my guides )
-place the zip file you want to flash into adb/fastboot directory
-enable usb debug, disable fastboot, plug in phone
-check for connectivity
adb devices (should return serial number)
-boot to fastboot
adb reboot bootloader
-check for connectivity again
fastboot devices
-flash the file
fastboot erase cache
fastboto oem rebootRUU (will put you in ruu mode, black screen silver htc letters)
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip (will send and flash the file. dont interupt it while the cmd window shows its writinging, and the green status bar is moving on the phone screen)
*sometimes a file will fail with a pre-update error. this is normal, just enter again:
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip
and this time it will finish
-when you get "finished" and "OK"
fastboot reboot-bootloader (takes you back to fastboot)
-reboot back to the OS
fastbooot reboot

you can use this if you dont have an operational phone as well. you just need to manually put the phone in fastboot(select from hboot menu) then skip the "adb" commands and start with fastboot devices
to answer your other question, yes, you will need to re-unlock and re-install recovery after running the RUU. an ruu is designed as an "unroot" solution, or emergency fix,if other attempts have not made the phone operational.

I have been brought to my knees on this. Evidently I cannot get the PC (WIN7) to see the pho9ne in adb or fastboot. I actually had it in fastboot for awhile last night but not adb. I uninstalled htc sync and reinstalled, updated my sdk, then I turned everything off.
This morning I cant get it to see in adb or fastboot. The problem is that I am doing this on my company work laptop and I really shouldn't be.
So this morning I loaded the sdk into one of my windows 8 machines and I have the same thing.
When I connect the usb cable I hear the notification sound, htc sync comes up (but it says it cant connect),and autoplay comes up. I can see it under computer. When I look at the device manager I do not see it.
I have tried several cables.
Currently I am downloading Superstock 2.07, I really liked that, but I like blinkfeed also.
Thanks

When I connect the usb cable I hear the notification sound, htc sync comes up (but it says it cant connect),and autoplay comes up. I can see it under computer. When I look at the device manager I do not see it.
I have tried several cables.
Currently I am downloading Superstock 2.07, I really liked that, but I like blinkfeed also.
Thanks

Hey Jerry don't feel so bad, I worked for a whole week to get my windows 8 pc to see my phone. I always had adb but not fastboo, always said usb device not recognized. its the drivers that are not updated. don't take it personal. I finally gave up and dual booted Linux mint and now have adb and fastboot. the only problem is that ruu would not run. but now that micro made the new zip it should work ok.

I made one of my personal Win8 machines into a dual boot with Ubuntu, but I really do not know how to muse it. I did download the sdk, that is about it. Congrats on your success. hehe

Previously, if I needed to return to a stock firmware for any reason I would need to run the 1.15 ruu.exe
Is this ota all I need to flash from fastboot? Is this zip the full ruu but in a zip form instead of *.exe?
I hope all that made sense LOL
Thanks

Fails same place every time'. Remote: 22 loading zip info fail. 3 different downloads.
Looking at the ROM.zip size in properties it say size 898 MB (942,372,268 bytes). Size on disk : 942,374,912
I don't know if that means anything

Extracted into my file where fastboot and adb were located. I also tried to run torrented s' hboot reset to original. It ran without error but my honor is still 1.33. So I am sure I am doing something wrong.
Really starting to like your super digital sense 4.5.

This is not the section to ask questions. You would have better luck in Q/A. For more info please see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2008327
There is a small troubleshoot guide in the link in my Sig or the collection thread in the DNA general section stickied at the top
Click the RUU Links show/hide button and scroll down a bit you will see three files called firmware part 1 and 2 and a stock sense 5 ruu ROM.zip
Follow the flashing instructions and it should get the device working again

is there any other way to install the files??
There is an ruu exe somewhere in this forum if you want to give that a go. I always hated zips, the exe programs never gave me issues.
Use the exe in the second post. Warning: the ruu will format the SD card. If you can, back up any information you want to keep.

Step 1) adb reboot bootloader
Step 2) fastboot oem rebootRUU
Step 3) CD to directory containing ruu zip (i.e. cd C:\sdk\)
Step 4) fastboot flash zip PL83IMG.zip
*** When it says it is done in the terminal/cmdprompt execute the following ***
[The green bar only fills up about 75% of the way]
Step 5) fastboot reboot-bootloader

Step 2) fastboot oem rebootRUU
and thats exactly what i been trying to say that i cant because the unit is not getting there, is showing a black
screen and the pc is not detecting the device
can i install the rom via bootloader??
thanks
Only adb push for Rom or from a custom recovery to flash a Rom.
Is Bootloader screen black? If not, what do you get in Bootloader?
Or does the phone not want to go into ruu mode?
The DNA needs to be in ruu mode to flash an ruu.zip there is no way around that, that I know of
