I have a slight problem. In my stock message app (not whatsapp), I can open, read and reply sms but I can't create new message. Also I can't open the settings in my message app. I have resorted to using another app for time being.
Does anyone know why this is happening. Hope there is a workaround before I do a factory reset to see if it solves the problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The newest version of Gmail is supposed to have the ability to delete and archive an email right from the notification (on jelly bean). I updated and don't see this ability. I don't see how this is an option. Has anyone else experienced this? What's the deal?
Thanks

This is really bothering me. Don't know what is going on.
It only works if you receive one email at a time from my experience. For example if you have it on auto sync an a new email is received. It won't work if you manually sync and 10 emails pop up. Again this is what I'm experiencing.

Try doing a reverse 'pinch-to-zoom' on a message in your notification tray. It should zoom out and give you the options to archive or reply.
I see the "Archive" and "Reply" options, but where's "Delete"?
Just select the messages you want to delete and the option will show up in icon bar

From the Gmail app, go to Settings>General Settings>Swiping Conversation List>Always Delete and I think the option in your notifications will allow you to delete.

Thanks! I saw that option but for some reason thought it was only for the conversation list within the app, not the drop-down menu. Just gave it a shot and it worked!
First question is... How can I get rid of the "Power saver off" in the notification bar? Super annoying, I haven't seen it in any of the options although I'm sure it's got to be there somewhere.
2nd question...and this is more of a general all across Android but maybe someone has an answer...why do I always have problems sending picture messages when I have good signal? I try canceling them and resending, restarting the phone, nothing. It just sits there trying to send. I've had this problem on every android phone I've had (ironically nothing but HTC since the G1). Sometimes it works fine, other times it doesn't work at all.
3rd question, I've had a custom rom on my HTC Sensation for a while w/ Android 4.2.2 Is the ability to have the power widgets in the notification bar only on 4.2? I know you can add it w/ apps but I liked it built in. Will that be my only option till we get 4.2 or am I missing that somewhere also?
Thanks for any help!

As far as I know, you can only get this with a custom ROM. I am using TrickDroid on my T-Mobile One and it's fantastic. It includes the power toggles.

Interesting. I'm running trickdroid and I was able to uncheck it. Didn't realize stock didn't allow it.

Sweet. I never knew about this. It doesn't work for the Power Saver notification, but I was finally able to get rid of that darn WiFi notification! Will disabling the notification have any effect on the operation of the feature? I know I always get warnings from apps about it being more "active" with the notification turned on.
Like the other guy said, the option to disable it is grayed out. Sucks.
I do have one more question, maybe for another thread, but when someone sends a pic message, I'm not getting the full resolution, it's much worse. And the issue is not the persons phone sending it but my phone receiving it. My friend and I were both sent a pic and his phone received it on full resolution and mine was much lower. The sender was from an AT&T iPhone and my buddy that got the pic is on a Verizon android phone and I'm on the TMobile one. Is this a tmobile thing maybe?
If you're rooted, you can use the JMZ Power Saver Disabler app to get rid of the notification.

So, I installed the newest cm10.1 and gapps. For some reason, there is no option icon/ those three little dots on the google play store. I was wondering if there is something that I am missing?
Just really odd that I can't view "My Apps" to update manually.
EDIT:
Apparently, this is on all apps. Hard to change app settings when I don't have the ability. lol

Visit settings then system then hardware keys and set it as you wish, like app switch long press to open/close menu.
Edit: doesn't add the dots but let's you access the menu they bring up.

Yea, was really nice to see ability to change hardware options.
So this is my first HTC phone and for the most part I am loving it. However, there are two things that I hate. For starters, on a Phone such as the Galaxy s4 or the iPhone, I am able to view who sent me a text on the lockscreen or who sent me a text even when the phone is secured. Now on the HTC m8, I dont get to see any of that. All I see is the number of notifications above the phone app or the messaging app. Also, I hate the fact that if I go into the texting app to view a few messages but not all of them, it will then clear the icon in the notification panel as well as the indicator above the app icon itself. It really makes it super easy to forget if I had any extra text or not.
Check settings lock screen, the m7 had a lockscreen view that showed texts. Haven't got my m8 yet to see if it's still there.

Try using google handouts instead of the standard texting app
You can view text messages on the lock screen. You have to enable it in the settings.

Go to Settings, then Security and click notification settings under lockscreen. I am using Sense 6.0 on the M7 but it should be the same. I actually liked the way this was handled on Sense 5.5 better than 6.

Just rooted and reflashed with the stock+rooted ROM, and I noticed that my capture+ is missing.
Would anyone be so kind to provide the apk for the app please? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately they are not different. If you uninstall quickmemo+ you will notice you lose capture+ and you get it bank once you reinstall that. I do remember having ability to have it on second screen But not sure you're to add Beni once removed

This could be because I have a big migraine headache and am feeling slow, but I still can't find the way to add back Capture+ to the second screen after rooting! I have Quickmemo+ reinstalled but I can't find capture+ in the second screen settings. Where are these app shortcuts mentioned above? I only see the options to add capture+ as a home touch button
Edit: I finally found it! Wasn't very intuitive, the part about having to touch the text to get to the actual settings for the Second screen. But got it now
