[Q] can't use debug mode, after investigation: /sbin/adbd Segmentation Fault - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hello,
I have p760 with firmware V20F. Some time ago I have tried to install cyanogenmod but I failed with security error. After some work I have recovered to original android from LG. I have rooted it. Now I can't connect to pc in debug mode. I found out that problem is with /sbin/adbd which when I run with root privileges I receive:
[check_LGE_official: enable_root = 1
Segmentation fault
On notification area there is android icon for debug mode but it doesn't work.
How can I avoid this? does /sbin/adbd file can be replaced with another one?
Thank you in advance.
Grzegorz

[Q] Help rooting Huawei Prism II (4.1.1)?

Alright, so I have been trying to root my Huawei Prism II with Android 4.1.1 for a while now, but whatever rooting program I use, it will keep getting stuck on Step #7. I also tried rooting the phone manually, but ran into a problem:
Code:
1|[email protected]:/data/local/tmp $ ./psneuter
./psneuter
Failed to set prot mask (Inappropriate ioctl for device)
For some reason my device will show up before I begin the process of rooting, seen below:
Code:
70723C61AA05 device
But when I check to see if the device is still there while in [email protected], it won't show any devices.
I am wondering if this has anything to do with not having the OEM driver for this phone? I've been looking all over the internet for the offical driver, but have not been able to find one for this device, so I have been using the one that was automatically installed by Windows 7 which is the Android Composite ADB Interface. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
That's my problem too. I hope that everything can solve really soon and we can root our huawei prism 2 devices
Sent from my Prism II using xda premium
I know already how to root the huawei prism II . Use Shuame a chinese version aplication for windows. Run the aplication, conect your device and in one click you will be root. This application install a Chinese superuser android app for root administration similar to SuperSU or Superuser.

I understand that this thread is a couple of months old but I found an app that worked for rooting our Prism II phones. I used Kingo Android Root on my Huawei Prism II U8686 and it rooted without any problems. I was able to use titanium backup and some other root apps that I had on my old rooted Samsung T759. You can google search for Kingo Android Root to find it. Really easy to use, self explanatory. Screenshot for proof below.
Kingo works perfectly fine, you just need to install drivers. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked as well.

[Q] LG L9ii Lockout softbrick

hello to all,
I've got a big problem with the LG L9 ii. I lend it from a friend because my Samsung Galaxy is broken A few days ago some stupid guys at a party play around with the LG and give several trys to bypass the locking screen.... Now its locked... The problem I had is the LG isn't rooted, the mobile internet is off, usb debugging disabled also.... and unsurprisingly no backup :good: Hardreset was not the real deal...
google play login are useless before I can turn on the mobile internet. If I try to boot up into Stock-Recovery I got only this... (in attachment):
preferable:
fix the stockrecovery or flash CWM to do a nand backup
update.zip to turn on usb debugging, activate mobile internet via adb
Everybody an idea?
Thanks in advance!
Tim
update:
In Downloadmodus I can write cat /system/build.prop and I become Output.....
If I write adb devices... no device
I used all avalaible drivers but nothing worked....
The idea was:
adb push sqlite3 /system/xbin/sqlite3
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
update secure set value=1 where name="mobile_data";
but... no device....

Help - SoftBricked MT6589 - Wiko Bloom

Hi,
-A few months ago i installed kingroot and rooted my Wiko Bloom(MediaTek MT6589). A couple of days ago i tried to update the firmware and i forgot to unroot first. the result is a softbricked phone.
- When the phone tries to boot it gets to a point where i get android with exclamation "no command".
- Besides this, not always is the phone detected on windows, when its detected it shows up as usb descriptor failed.
I can enter recover, but if i try to update from sdcard it shows /mnt/sdcard/, when the real path should be /mnt/sdcard0/, and i cant change it.
- I installed android sdk and google usb drivers but windows wont let me use them because the phone is not properly detected.
- I dont know what else can i do, i even searched for a usb jig but it seems they only support samsung phones.
Can someone help me recover my phone? I believe i have to unroot it first and then install official firmware, but i have no info or idea on how to do it since adb tools cannot detect my phone.
Thank you so much
:good:

[KDZ] [TOT] [L5 II] Stuck at LG Screen

Hello,
I've got a LG L5 II that is stuck at LG screen. This happen because maybe I've deleted the update of google apps in order to have disk space left.
I've done a lot of research before posting a new thread but now, I ask for your help.
Useful Information :
LG L5 II E460, firmware stock, not rooted, firmware V10F
Try on USB 3.0 and USB 2 with cable microUSB -> USB because computer is an ASUS Transformer
Connection information in device manager :
Normal boot : MT65xx Android Phone
Download mode : LG AndroidNet Phone
Recovery mode : Android laying on the floor with red exclamation mark but nothing happen.
Guide used and results :
Official LG method :
Power on : when connected, still waiting for connection in the LG Update window
Download mode : Connection OK but when trying to upgrade from recovery, failed @ 4 or 5 %, phone disconnected
LG Flashtool 2014 :
Download mode : failed @ 4 or 5 %, phone disconnected
TOT Method: Unable to find TOT file but trying with bin and dll from kdz firmware
Download mode : Error at step flashing SCI.
If possible, I'd like to do a normal flash without losing data on the internal. I know I can do it but I need your help, please
If more information wanted, do not hesitate to ask, I'm trying to be the more accurate possible. Sorry for my English, it''s not my native language.
Thanks
I'm trying to get the tot file from my firmware KDZ.
Extracting KDZ give me DLL and bin file.
I don't know what to do with this bin file. Is it possible to convert it in tot file ?
Thanks

Hi !
I was hoping an answer but it isn't the case.
I'll try to help you, I've spent a lot of hours to recover my phone.
Try to follow this How-to :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409308
-----------------------
About my problem, I think I don't have any possibilities. Even a factory reset fail.
USB debugging not activated --> Trying by ADB --> ADB need to install Superuser.apk in /data/local/tmp --> This directory has been erased because I've tried a complete flash and all my data are gone but my phone is still bricked.
Trying to Root to flash recovery --> USB debugging not activated --> Unable to root my phone
KDZ Updater fail (maybe because of USB debugging not enabled ?)
I think I'm f**ed (sorry for this bad word but I don't see any possibilites ...)
----------
Dear mudster, if I can help you, I will do my best

ADB Error: [FILEPATH] : remote read failed: I/O error

A few days ago, the display of my phone broke and became unusable because the touchscreen isn't working anymore. So i tried to backup my files and since i can't use my display anymore to unlock the phone I tried using adb instead. But at some files the pulling fails with the error code "(FILEPATH): remote read failed I/O error". After that the whole pulling process stops.
Does anybody know how to fix that?
I'm rooted with magisk and I'm able to use root in adb.
~Lukas
