I tried searching for custom ROMs for my LG Optimus L9, but didn't come up with any successful results. I also tried to CyanogenMod, but there too the phone was not listed. Can someone tell me some of the ROMs for the phone?
Thanks.
[PS: I am new to this site so sorry if I am breaking some guideline in this post]

P760 rom is compatible with P765 (Remove Nfc.apk by root browser to disable NFC). But you must unlock your phone boot loader first. You're new here so I assume that your phone bootloader is still locked. If you install custom rom without unlock bootloader, you will get security error.
PS. you should post this question in FAQ forum.

Does unlocking the bootloader wipe all the phone data? Also, I want to install CWM recovery. But when I installed ROM Manager, it said that CWM is not yet available for my phone. Do you know of any workaround?

I don't think I change it now, so I will do it next time.

It wipe all your data. So you need to do a backup first. Please use Locked BL CWM, it's somewhere in dev forum. And it's good that CWM recovery doesn't support P765 because if you install CM, you will soft-brick your phone. You must unlock your phone bootloader before flash any custom rom.

Please don't ask same question in different threads
Most phones from for example HTC did have a locked bootloader, but with already released or upcoming updates this lock will be removed. Don't know if Samsung does the same also for some of the phones which have a locked bootloader.
If you want to know ik a specific phone has a locked bootloader, perhaps Google can give you an answer.

Hello I have a problem with my LG optimus 4XHD. I didn't like the 4.1.2 lg skinned android so i wanted to install a custom rom. I started by rooting my phone that worked but then i flashed clockworkmod recovery without unlocking the bootloader. Now i can't enter my recovery anymore but i can still boot into android. Now my question is: Can i still unlock the bootloader now without bricking my phone? Or is there another fix for a problem like this. Can someone please help me?
Thanks!

How did you flash CWM without unlocking bootloader?
And I think the bootloader can only be unlocked only with stock recovery.

Thanks for replying i flashed CWM using the Rom manager app. Do you have any idea if i can get the recovery to work again?
You gotta find stock recovery and flash like you did in CWM recovery.
This is my idea and true in logical. Isn't it.
Try at your own risk and Good luck, mate.

Thank you for tying to help me .Finding a stock recovery and flash it looks pretty hard. I would like to know why i can't unlock my bootloader now? Does unlocking the bootloader require you to have access to the recovery? Again thanks for helping i really appreciate it
I have unlocked many bootloaders of many MTK devices. The phone will be reboot to stock recovery and format the whole phone after unlocking bootloader. So I said that you need stock recovery.

You gotta find your stock recovery yourself by googling or request approriate one on the forum.
And see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163974 to make a flashable zip.
Or try this flashing recovery.img directly using Mobile uncle tools (I am not sure this would work. 50% to work)
See my thread here to try latter way.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2686654
Follow the steps 2, 3 and 5.
Good luck, bro.
Either your phone is bricked or CWMR is not flashed.

Yes but you need to be more specific.. What phone (P what.., carrier etc), is your bootloader unlocked, all that good stuff.. short version is yes, but things are a little different on different phones.. It is a lot easier on everyone if you tell people these things.. not trying to sound like a jerk, but help them help you

As travioso said... We need more information on your device specifics.
Do you have a nandroid backup, pre CM or one of your stock ROM? If so, restoring a device backup would be the easiest method.

LG Optimus L9 P769, bootloader unlocked, but i have not done back up before installing CM.
He has cyanogenmod so of course his bootloader is unlocked.
You must flash stock kdz file to go back to stock rom. This General section has a sticky thread about it.

Flashing the KDZ should have him covered, there is a CM9 for locked bootloaders via 2nd-init, just FYI..

I found everything needed for the rooting process + instructions, but it says I should wipe everything and install the .zip ROM and Gapps from the custom recovery menu, but I can't access it, because the operation requires rooted phone so in this case first my phone has to be rooted and then I install the Custom recovery image. But I can't install the ROM without custom recovery and I can't have install the custom recovery without root. The heck!

I suppose you want to unlock bootloader and install a custom recovery? If yeah then root first then follow this (IT WORKS WITH LG E975, not sure about d620 as I don't use it)
Install FREEGEE,
Grant root access
-Flash clockworkmod/twrp and unlock bootloader. Would be better if you seek assistance from d620 users :]
Anyways, good luck!

Exactly you got it right now! BTW LG or Sony?
Edit: do make a backup through Custom recovery before going for custom ROMs. This can save you from giant messes

You can root with PurpleDrake.
Then unlock the bootloader ONLY with this!
Then you can find custom recoveries and ROMs at G2 Mini Dev Section.

Allright.
A Phone always comes with a locked bootloader so if you don't unlocked it yourself it is still locked.
To flash twrp you will need a unlocked bootloader and to unlock a bootloader you need rootacess.
I used the app rlashr to flash twrp and boot in recovery. Don't forget to type 'su' in a terminal before you use it (at the guide how to unlock a bootloader)
This guide tells you how to do everything:
(Follow these steps: root -> bootloader-> recovery(twrp))
