Is there anyone here who can make altered pit files for the Note 2 N7100 like those for the S II I9100 ?
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2538947
I'm interested in the one with 4GB room for apps.

2 questions:
First, does anyone have a stock cwm image for the Tmobile US version of the galaxy tab 10.1 that can post it or link in pm?
Second, why is there so little development happening for the Tmobile variant of this awesome device? Seems like cyanogen mod 9 is the only thing that this version will get. I'll gladly test Roms if that is what the devs need.
Couldnt find one for AT&T but just avoid the system files...http://www.theandroidsource.com/galaxy-note-ii-root-rooting-roms-hacks-overclocking-etc/2979-verizon-galaxy-note-ii-system-dump-apps-wallpapers-sounds.html
the zip for the Note 2 sound files is incomplete.

The cpu in the device does support a form of unbrickable mod as its the same cpu as my korean note but not sure if anyone has been brave enough to try it. If you back up the boot loaders and pit files and never flash a .tar or zip file containing sbl1,2,3,tz,rpm,aboot then should only ever softbrick and you can use odin to fix that.
Also understand that there is always a chance you may soft brick when applying roms so make sure you have a backup of data.

The only unbrickable mod for this device is to leave it stock...LOL
Seriously though, the note is already considered by many as unbrickable if the basic rules are followed. no changing of partition names or sizes etc. of course, we all know that these things happen, and a JTAG is needed to force restore the boot partitons..
If users are reading and following the info found in the builds they use, then a brick is highly unlikely...and soft bricks are so easy to fix that it's almost a joke compared to the old days of bricking phones..
Any builds that alter the boot loader partitons should be avoided, but to my knowledge, the only ones doing that are the kies/odin stock roms etc.
Nothing else in our section will overwrite the partitions, and that effectively makes the note unbrickable. Unless a flash of the wrong rom is done..I.E. N7000 on an I717...then it's a JTAG repair for sure.......g
Hello
I get crazy while searching the original gingerbread firmware for the GT-I9100 including all parts (PDA, PHONE and CSC).
Since Hotfile is down I can't find a working link.
Can someone please provide a working link?
thanks in advance.
edit : when there would be a PIT file in the package I would be happy..
edit 2 :
what I want to do ist, repartition the whole device with stock GB firmware.
I want to do this because I got this phone from a friend and it has a bricked efs partition, now I have several ideas how to fix this but first I want to go back to stock.

Do you mean GB or JB?
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM
I mean GB, so I'm not sure but I think the first complete stock firmware was 2.3.3?
Ah OK.....just checking as I can link you to a 3 part JB firmware.....tbh I think you're unlikely to find a 3 part GB firmware......old news now.....
And a word of advice.......
Pit files.....ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT.....use ONLY for recovering a phone if ALL ELSE has failed.......
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM
I thinks an ICS firmware would also work.
When the device is only usable as a brick I think there's nothing to loose ^^
My think with the PIT file is when I completly repartition the phone and flash samsung efs.tar I maybe get a developer IMEI and not just <null>.
Search emmc brickbug ICS 4.0.4......
Could perma-superbrick ur phone.....
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM
thanks for the warnings, but the "phone" is not really a phone atm, it's more like a brick!
The efs partition is corrupted so no signal, wifi or bt. IMEI is just <null> so I have nothing to loose.
I found a 3 Part GB firmware but this one is buggy. So I still need a 3 Part ICS firmware.

OK......just in case....here's the link to the 3 part JB.....(for i9100 international ONLY)

It may seem a bit stupid but wonder if I install this Galaxy S5 Firmware on my Galaxy S3 go right? Does the Touchwiz it will be the same as the S5? Why seen a ROM (the so "DN4 ROM") based Galaxy Note 4 running on S3, with functions and appearance of the Note 4.
Grateful to all!
Just use the nexus factory images while you are at it. Anyway you kiss your phone goodbye
Why? I did not quite understand.
It will brick your phone. Don't try it.
So you're trying to achieve installing an S5 firmware on S3? That's quite ambitious!
It won't work, I don't have to go into the details because it's obvious.
If you want to change the looks of your device say to an S5 look use the available ROMs here on forums, they look the same as the device they're ported from. For example if you install Blekota's Note 4 ROM, you'll get the exact looks of the note 4, not the same experience though.
