Won't charge and crazy battery usage - Motorola Droid RAZR

Recently my razr maxx last almost all battery life in a few hours... So I plugged it in and left it for the night. Next day it looks like it hasn't even charged... So I checked battery stats. Wth is this media server. Did some research and figured I must have fixed it. Plugged it back in and a few hours later same thing
Finally I decided to turn it off and plug it in to charge. It's since dropped from 30% to 5% and it's been plugged in for eight hours off.
I've got no idea what could be causing this aside from a bad battery... Sadly it is a razr and the screen has a crack so no warranty.
Any ideas aside from the battery that could be causing this.
Oh and I've tried two different chargers one moto one Sammy

Battery charging cycle

I've had my Titan for nearly 5 months now. I am hoping Titan's battery isn't that crap as I think. However, since last 1 week what I've seen is my LED goes green to indicate that my phone is charged. It shows 100% in battery saver menu. However, if I restart my phone while it's plugged in the charger even after green LED, then after the reboot my battery is down to 89-91% mark. Either the battery calibration has gone wonky or the LED doesn't recognise the real battery levels.
It would really help if anyone who charges their phone during the coming week, could restart their phone while plugged in as soon as you see green LED and then see if anything changes in your battery stats?
I've noticed my phone does last an hour or two longer if I charge after this reboot till it's 100%. It could well be a placebo effect for me. But might help if others see the same too.

The calibration is a little wacked. Here is my example - i charge it for 5 hours and it says 100%... but it only lasts about 7 hours and i can tell throughout the day that it drains faster. If i charge it for 8 i get closer to 13 with heavy web and game use. At 5 hours it turns green also ... but it seems as though it still charges more when left plugged in longer.
Some apps also like wp7 news clips off about 1 to 2 percent battery everytime i run them. (it brings in feeds from 20 different websites (estimate, i didn't count) so it's worth it but i check it a lot.
Could be wrong but as far as im aware that over charge protection. Your phone shouldnt really be charged 100%. 90-95% should be the sweet spot. Generally when i first noticed that i used to restart the phone and charge it to 100% but my battery life actually got less than just letting the phone decide when its enough
My titan has recently been getting more and more life from the battery; upwards of two days. I turned off wifi and I got 4 days 4 hours, died just some hours ago (I don't game much, but I do listen to music).
I've been getting into the habit of charging it when it gets below 5%, not every night like I used to. So it'll be 30% at night sometimes, and it'll last me another day with light/average usage (as opposed to my previous mindset where anything below 50% is a no go).
It might not work to leave till last 5% especially for someone like me who travels a lot. Don't you fear at times that your phone might faint when you really want to use it? As soon as my phone goes in battery saver mode I plug it in. Maybe that 90% limit as a reason. Over riding it helped me but if I did not over ride the following cycle then my battery performance seemed awful! Very strange working indeed.

If I plan on using it AND I know I'm going out where there is potentially no USB to charge with, I bring my portable USB battey charger and/or one of my other phones. However, I don't mind not having a phone with me at all times, so if it dies, it dies. Still, I just got it to last 4 days, so if you don't watch videos or play games frequently, charging every three days is unheard of for a smartphone!
The battery's health relies on charging it properly, and I value keeping this up over having it charged when convenient for me. Battery saver kicks in at 20% I think, and with battery saver, you'll get almost another day with light usage, so charging when battery saver turns on is probably really hurting your battery.
I generally unplug my phone when I notice the LED turns green (even if I'm going to bed for the night I'll unplug it). I have never had such amazing battery life with any other phone, but I also have never taken such lengths to improve battery life either.
Why don't you pick up a brand new HTC Evo 3D battery off eBay or something and use that? Its a 1730mAh battery compared to Titans 1600mAh and works fine in the Titan.

Deep discharging a Li-Ion is worse for it than frequent charging. Temperature also is very important and I haven't noticed the battery get hot when sitting on the charger after the light turns green.

[Q] HTC Evo 3d - Battery charge indicator after drop.

My appologies if this question has been answered somewhere else, I could not find any other threads with a similar situation.
My phone was dropped and ever since then it has not shown me the right battery level. It will charge on USB or AC up to 99% and stop. I connected it to AC power 30 hours ago and it never gave me the green light. This is after a full drain and then recharge. It did however stop charging at some point. I noticed no light was on, red or green, turned on the phone and my battery had gone from 99% to 41% in 22 minutes. I plugged it into USB and it appears to be charging back up. My widget now shows 84% with 4334mV (i dont know if this is right or not).
It is not an issue with the battery. My wife has the same phone and I swapped batteries. Mine works fine in her phone and I have the same problem with hers.
My other issue is that when I use the phone off the charger it will not show me the level accurately when it is draining battery. Example being, I unplug the phone at 99%, within 5 minutes I'm down to 92% (i know this is not unusual because of how the batteries charge). But, I will stay at 92% for hours and hours, with moderate use of internet, phone, and apps. Then it will fall from 92 to 60 ish in a few minutes and do the same thing. Sometimes it will tell me that I'm getting low (under 15%) other times it just turns off a second or two after the notification. If I plug in the phone and turn it on it shows me 1% and charges up to 99%.
In the few minutes I have been typing my phone charged up to 91% with 4336mV.
I was running ViperRom ICS when the issue started. Restored it back to Stock with no root and the issue remained. Now I am running Mean Rom ICS with the same issues.
I have cleared the battery cache in recovery too.
Any help would be appreciated.
If you kiss it. your phone will love you and it'll be all better. NOW KISS IT AND TELL YOUR PHONE YOU'RE SORRY FOR DROPPING IT! LOL!
Based on my experience with batteries of all kinds, it sounds like one of the cells may be damaged. Best bet is to get a new battery. They are decently cheap for a good one. Im actually looking for an extended unit myself. If you come across one, please PM me.
Thanks
That was my first thought but when I swap my battery with my wife's battery I have the same problem. Both batteries work fine in her phone but not in mine.
Sorry to bring this up again, my bad. But seriously you are not the only one with this issue.. I had the same problem since stock, swap battery didn't help either.

[Q] GS2 won't charge while powered on.

I'm running the F1 galaxy nexus rom for sgh-177 on my GS2. A couple days ago My phone was dead in the morning and I plugged into the wall usb charger and turned it on. It sat there at 2% for quite a while and did not charge. Finally I turned it off and came back to it later and turned it back on and it was fully charged.
This has kept up for the past few days where it will not charge while it is turned on. So I'm going off the assumption right now that there is some process that is sucking up massive battery when plugged in. I'm getting about the same battery life as before the incident though which is confusing. I uninstalled the last couple apps I put on here but it hasn't made a difference yet. Anyone experience anything like this?

[Q] Battery not charging over 30%!!!!????

So after some ultra heavy usage yesturday I found myself for the first time witnessing less than 10% battery on my Maxx, so I plugged it to charge as normal, around 12 ish mid night... An hour in, 1 something am, I was tired and decided to go to sleep and, as I checked on the razr, it displayed 24% charge... I wondered why it was charging so slowly, but decided to leave it charging overnight and thought it might help... As I woke up at 7:30 am, I notice it has 30% battery charge and it said it was "Charging"... As I went to settings > battery, it showed a straight horizontal green line, as if the phone was in deepsleep... It recognized it was charging, but it didn't go past 30%!!!!!! I was scared the hell off, so I removed the SIM card and put it on my back up phone (I needed the phone at the moment) and let it charge for another hour turned off before I had to go... This time, however, it did charge...thankfully... It was at 57% so I took it to school and kept charging it... Right now, its at 83%, so I guess its charging as it should (though slow as f**k)... Any ideas as to why this happened and how I can prevent it in the future?? And also as to why its now charging so slowly?? I just got this phone 2 days ago and it charged perfectly those 2 days.... Thanks in advanced!

I've had this happen a couple of times. Install "Better Battery Stats" (here's the Play Store Link), which will help you see if there are any apps causing unexpected wakelocks. If you see any, uninstall or disable the app and see if your battery starts charging normally again.
Another d'oh thing to check is making sure your charger is working OK, and you don't have a case that's preventing you from completely plugging your phone in (I did that before, too...).

Thanks for ur reply, Im gonna download the app now! Also, I'm using an HTC wall charger (for my old Evo 4G) because the phone was sold to me without any accessories or anthing. I'll look up on buying an OEM Motorola charger too. You wouldnt happen to know where I can get one without it costing me a fortune (fortune = apple prices lol), would you?? Thanks again for ur help!
EDIT: Would it be wise to purchase this charger?

The seller says its OEM... Also, I checked other sites like Amazon and that's about what they're selling for ($5 - $12).

Droid Bionic charges to full then when unplugged dies

My Droid bionic is having problems with battery. It has been problematic for a long time but recently it has gotten worse. At first it was just saying it had 5% battery after a few minuets when fully charged, then a few years later it went to saying 5% battery directly after it was unplugged and then a few weeks later it was dying every 5 minuets unless unplugged. The battery is a new battery and the charging cord and charger work and it gets a full charge but it keeps doing this. Does anyone have any idea why and know how to solve this problem? Also i want to count how many people are having problems like this I will get back to you via email if you have this problem with the solution if and when i get it.

u sure charger is compatible??
change it if not
Try wiping batterystatus.bin from data/system after a full charge.
Most likely the battery needs to be replaced. In my view, charger is not a problem.
