Don't update, all you need to do:
1- Download Flashtool.
2- Choose the customized ROM that you want to use (by searching for a stable or nighty version it's up to you).
3- Download it on your computer and unzip it.
4- Copy the boot.img file into the firmwares folder inside the Flashtool folder/directory.
5- Connect your phone to the computer.
6- Flash the boot.img from inside the Flashtool application itself.
If you don't understand any step or want the rest of the steps you will find it in the customized ROM thread.

^ this only works if he has an unlocked boatloader which he hasn't mentioned...

cwm is usually in the boot.img.
if the phone was on GB before, just flash any GB boot.img and press volume buttons on boot up (when the notification led goes blue)
that should put the phone in cwm.

[Q] Help my friend? Please! Xperia Neo V

My phone, and Sony Xperia Neo V 2011 --->
I few days ago I poured on my phone on site devlpoer.sonyericsson.com Android 4 alpha
(unlock bootloader) and I poured my phone with fastboot

And so I want to lock the bootloader again flashtools It did do well, and now the next step is rom ate the problem
What's the problem?
I want a return to the previous ROM but I can not find anywhere NEO v mti11 2.3.4 ROM.
(Mistake was that I did not backup)
One of my friends
1 - I want you (Rom Neo V Mti11 2.3.4) for the extension Flashtools tft
2 - or fastboot I Submit a link for the ROM code (system.img - userdata.img - boot.img)
3 - I think if someone neo v putty ROM herself up I did not backup (which I do not think anyone could do it)
4 - I think the only solution if you do have the original ROM
Use pc companion, to go back on android 2.3.4 or use se update service, or flash the zip in my signature through cwm maybe that helps, its android 2.3.4 with rooted 62 formware, let me know and are you now on locked bl and did you have cwm recovery, so yes flash the zipfile in my sig

4. Now I am stuck on Sony Ericsson logo
Any tips to unbrick? Do I just downlod Flashtool and Select ftf based on ICS?

Hi
My xperia Neo V is in bootloop, stuck at sony logo. The phone is unblocked and rooted using the instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973017 , I have successfully rooted and taken nandroid backup using CWM. Then i tried to install Xperia Ultimate HD ROM. But now i am unable to boot my phone. Please help. I really appreciate any help.
Version: 4.0.4 ICS 4.1.B.0.587
Just flash stock ICS ftf file using flashtool or if u have nandroid backup, flash any stock based kernel like night-elf, sauve etc using flashtool in fastboot mode, goto CWM (custom kernels has built in recovery), restore the backup.. Done...

I'm sorry because I do not want to open another thread.
I received some errors including an error: 7 while trying to install the ROM via CWM Recovery which was installed via X-Parts
How do I install the rom?
How do I know if I''m in an unlocked bootloader or a locked one

You should be on unlocked bootloader. Flash a custom kernel. If it gets flashed you'r on the right track.
Custom kernels have inbuilt cwm. So you dont need x-parts to install recovery.
Status 7 error can be avoided by opening rom zip. Go to meta-inf>google>android>updater script. Open it with notepad++ and delete first 6 lines that is device checking lines. And then save and zip the folder and flash. Done!

[Q]Aroma Installer don't works for me

Hello everybody.
I have a Xperia Neo (Unlocked Bootloader) and all most time when I try use a ROM with AROMA Installer in my smartphone, I get a bootloop. I try Ultimate HD, Pureness and Zelly Cream. Not works for me.
I read about instructions on all threads on this ROMs. But I get a bootloop for 30 minutes or more.
Have a any way to extract a ROM from Aroma Installer and create a flash zip for CWM? Or the bootloop is normal?
Thanks.

You uncheck the reboot phone at the end in aroma right? Have you flashed neo v stock ftf once to increase system partition size?

I'll try flash Neo V Stock FTF in next time.
Always unchecked the "Reboot Phone" in the end Aroma Installer. Always reboot in CWM.
