Custom ROMs

Hallo!
I am ZTE Racer II user and i am looking for roms.
1 year of researching and no custom rom available on the net?!?
It was wierd,but that's it.
No roms.
So I need help with developing custom rom for this device, plz!!!
Thanks ahead!
You'll need to have some experience of linux and compiling from source, and knowledge on your phone's internal hardware. You might also need knowledge on the Android platform.
You'll also need to figure out how to get clockworkmod recovery on your phone
Good luck!
A little HELP?
Well ,I am not so good at that stuff ,but i want to have custom ROM.
That's why I ask for someone to make me a custom ROM.
Here is a link of the stock Rom I am using now.
www .4shared .com/zip/wNcQoJ9j/STOCK_ROM.html
I prefer MIUI custom ROM
And I installed this ROM via clockwork mod recovery and I'm using it right now.
Thank you ahead!
And I'm sorry the forum does not allow me to post the link because I'm new user!

[Q] CUSTOM ROM vs OFICIAL ROM

Dear all,
I am new comer to this forum and i recently exprienced some issues with my S2 GALAXY.
I am in state that i can see all menus in Clockworkmod in my S2 from reboot to wipe / wipe all , start from SD etc .
My big iquestion is that what i am suppose to do when we get to this menu of clockworkmod ? do i have to start the new ROM from SD Card?
if yes which ROM should i suppose to install in my SD CARD
also i would like to know if i need to install two ROMS one is custom ROM and another is OFICIAL ROM as i dont know the difference between custom and oficial ROM.
THank you

Start with a ROM of your choice, just pick one you'd like to try and test it out. If you don't like it try another one out.
*Repeat untill your phone dies

Hi Vinay, Post ur questions in Q & A forum. Ok the difference between custom and official ROM is u ll get ROOT access, many mod from official. Moreover check the caution lines before flashing any ROM.. Watch some videos on flashing ROMs. Also always a copy of main original official ROM..
and a nandroid backup would be also useful just in case something goes wrong
Hi!
Custom rom made by developers that can be from stock (samsung) basis or aosp/aokp (google) basis according to what the devs wants and need, so you need to know about what features and themes are included in the rom so that it would match your preferences. There's sure are a lotta rom out there to try. Be sure to flash only rom that made for your phone and made a backup just in case..
Happy flashing!

Hi to all and thank you for helping me.
The big trouble is that i led my phone in to strange state where only triangle appears and logo of samgung and gets stuck in that state ;after downloading some wrong ROM, my mobile got to this state , now i want to get back in order to wakeup my mobile and brings it too original state as pervious , also to inform you that the mobile was locked to local operator and i tried to unblock and i did mistake .
I just want to have brief guide to how to start as there are many information in this forum and i dont know which tutorial should i base ON.
Basically i just want to know which ROM should i take and procedures in order to install the correct ROM in correct way. I allready has the ODIN installed in my PC and at the moment i can navegate in my phone by Clockworkmode but i dont know what i should do after that , i do know that i can put the ROM in SD Card and try to force the mobile but first i would like to have exprties opinion on this matter, PLEASE.
Regards
Vinay
Well basically if you want to restore to original state, you have to flash the stock rom for your phone or the backup you made before (which I assume you didn't made it). Try to find the stock firmware/rom for your phone version/country/region on sammobile and flash it using odin (put your phone to download mode first). Hope it helps..
P.s: don't worry about the yellow triangle thing, it'll disappear after you flashed the stock..

Thank you sir and thank you all moderator helping me on this ,
Ok ;i understood but if i dont want to go back or lets say if i want to root and unblock without original stock ROM what procedure should i do , please.
I am also having difficulties finding the best ROMS for mobile S2 GALAXY where i should find them , please.
Best Regards
Vinay Navinchandra
Dont mention "best rom" since its against the rules.Youll get a warning and your/this thread locked.
Yeah, it's a matter of preferences if you talked about what best so browsing around and try for yourself..
Some custom rom got pre-rooted, and some need to be rooted first or even not at all. There's lotta method to root sgs2 and it's not hard at all, just google it and you'll get it..

[Q] Flash or not to Flash that is the question...

I am thinking of flashing my Micromax a35 with stock Android 4.1.2 Rom of galaxy S3. I know it is not a custom rom but since it is not of my device can be considered as a custom rom rather than stock for my device. So regarding this my questions are as follows
1.) Is this a good Idea? :fingers-crossed:
2.) My phone has no gps, so gps related app or os components should crash or will they take the whole os down with them?
3.) Should I install Cyanogen mod (Galaxy Vibrant) instead of this?
4.) Can someone give me a super detailed copy of instructions regarding rom flashing and clockwork mod with its working and installation?
5.) Is there a way to remove gps from the settings of ICS rom and from the notification screen as well? in other words can we remove gps functionality from it altogether?
Thank you in advance and I am sorry if any of the above questions sound stupid. I have no idea regarding rom flashing(have never done it before), though I am a developer on android and wanted to switch to ICS.
And there is no forum regarding this device on xda(primarily due to its low popularity maybe) So made a new question here.
No custom rom is available for my device and that is why I had to choose the galaxy s3 rom as an option.
You will probably brick your phone if you flash another device rom. You need to look at this post on porting roms to your device.

[Q] Need some guidance for developing a ROM

Hi!
I currently own a GT-i9100T (Australian), but I have installed an i9100 ROM on it, so I guess they are the same models.
Firstly, I want to develop a ROM for GT-I9100 phones, but I need some guidance. I need a clean, booting kernel that will work, regardless of which custom ROM I will develop.
Secondly, I want to know if there is way to test my built ROM. Maybe dualboot? The last phone I had, I developed CM10 for it, and to test it I booted the ROM from an sdcard, by changing the locations of /system, /cache, /data in the boot image. So, is there a way to boot from the sdcard for this phone as well?
OK. So, to summarise it, I am asking for the following:
- A clean kernel that can be used to develop any ROM, and the ROM will boot.
- A dualbooting method to be able to test the new ROM. Possibly booting from sdcard.
I will look more deeply into the 'booting from sdcard' question myself, but I am still looking for guidance regarding it.
Thank You.
Wow! 58 views and no reply! Come on people; I expect more from you guys...

I develop my first rom from this guide only.
Good luck
Hahahahaha!
Thanks for your precious time, but that guide looks like it is for total noobs.
I am a senior member for a reason. I have developed a couple of ROMs before, but this is a different phone, so i am not familiar with this phone. This is why i was asking for some guidance.
I know how to developed, but I need to know the things in the original post.
Thanks.
@rqmok
Well I would think that you are building a AOSP based ROM? If so DorimanX Kernel lets you dual boot...... (Second ROM is run on the SDcard) You can use this kernel solely for testing.
Now for the kernel of the ROM, the cleanest kernel I can think of that powers CM AOSP AOKP is CM kernel? You can just compile from CM source and use it?
Thanks a bunch!!
A new dev......

Hey what's up guys I need your help please.
I modified the latest rom by LiquidSmooth(and it's a KitKat Unofficial ROM for the i9300, no bugs), and I didn't have a computer at the time I was making it, so I modified and did it all through my phone. So what I am asking is, is there any way I can take that ROM I modified and make I flashable ROM out of it, so I can upload it and people can flash it to their own phones?:highfive:

What I mean is I was on holiday and had no computer so I decided to edit the ROM I already had on my phone.
So now I want to take that ROM and all the settings and UI changes i made on it and turn it into a flashable .zip ROM to flash on other phones.
I want to upload it. But I don't know how I am going to do this, I tried Android Kitchen and ROM factory but it doesn't help.
Is there a pc software or app to do that?
