(Android 4.4 KitKat Unofficial for i9300 - No Bugs)
Hey what's up guys I need your help please.
I modified the latest rom by LiquidSmooth(and it's a KitKat Unofficial ROM for the i9300, no bugs), and I didn't have a computer at the time I was making it, so I modified and did it all through my phone. So what I am asking is, is there any way I can take that ROM I modified and make I flashable ROM out of it, so I can upload it and people can flash it to their own phones?:highfive:

there is, otherwise there wouldn't be roms or I did not understand your question . A good start is XDA-University

What I mean is I was on holiday and had no computer so I decided to edit the ROM I already had on my phone.
So now I want to take that ROM and all the settings and UI changes i made on it and turn it into a flashable .zip ROM to flash on other phones.
I want to upload it. But I don't know how I am going to do this, I tried Android Kitchen and ROM factory but it doesn't help.
Is there a pc software or app to do that?

CWM has that function. Creating system image that is flashable. Dont ask me where, it is so damn easy to find in there.

My Flash-able ROM: BOOT LOOP: (dsixda's android kitchen)

OK So I have Galaxy Nexus with latest Android JB 4.2.2 and I have made OTA ROM that is in my signature, before I was able to flash it but Now every time when I update it and build the flash-able ROM via Dsixda's Android kitchen and sign it it just hangs on the boot animation and won't work!
Same has happened to others too but for me it worked!
Now I can't get it to work again!
Is there any way to fix this?
Any way to make flash-able ROM without using the source stuff, I don't know how to build from source and I don't like AOSP ROMs and I don't have enough good PC to do that!
Nobody in Nexus's forum can't help me so hopefully someone here can help me!
How can I make ROM to flash-able like another ROMs e.g. someone's made ROM of the factory image..?
Making factory data won't help..

[Q] Where to download stock ROMs

hello people,
i do not know anything about phones ..i am not savvy at all.
i just bought a galaxy s2 (sph-d-710) and want to WIPE AND DELETE everything and do a CLEAN install of a STOCK ROM of Android 4.2 or 4.3. (sorry for the CAPS, but it seems that in my last post people did not see the keyword STOCK.
~~(when I say "stock" ROM i mean just the basic factory operating system that would come with a device bought in the store)
i dont' care which one.
I don't need to restore or back up anything. i just want a stock ROM.
So where can I find an official stock ROM for this device?
I just want to do a clean install just like one would with a laptop...wiping the hard drive and installing a fresh copy of Windows.
I searched for days on google for this topic but it seems like everyone has to be cool and do a custom ROM and nobody knows anything about factory stock ROMs.
Please anyone know where to download an official stock ROM
thanks

Some quick briefing about what happened. I did flashed my S3 and managed to get cyanogenmod (custom rom 4.3.1) and the cellphone has been so damn buggy and I hate it so much that I would like to get it back to default android.
After some research on forums such as androidzone,x-da developers and so many other forums.
All I ask, is for a guide which I can restore my phone to factory settings.
Thanks alot guys!

[Q] complete noob but need answers xD

ok so i bought my international version galaxy s3 from ebay. it was already rooted and modified. i know cause i
cant receive updates. unless i use triangle away. obviously i still dont get updates because im on a custom rom which i have no idea what custom rom it is. rom manager doesnt tell me. rom manager says
that my custom rom isnt setup to recieve updates.
im on 4.1.2 JB. what im wanting to know is. can i flash straight to cyanogenmod 10.2 from my custom rom?
and will flashing to 10.2 keep me on 4.1.2 JB but with the cyan tweaks/mods or will it be 4.3?
also what is the best method to save my imei from any dramas. i also dont want to lose my network which ive seen people have this problem also.
is there anyway for me to find out what custom rom im using? i know that i have clockworkmod 6 installed.
im using 19300XXELLA on what i beleive is a custom kernel smp but cant be sure.
im sure this post has not made much sense but hope you can undersyand what km asking
i also looked at the sticky threads. they gave answers but i felt they werent the answers i needed specifically for me. except the imei question
First you can know your custom ROM most probably from about device info...
Second you can flash cm 10.2 or cm11 without any hassles with imei but if you want any Samsung based custom rom you should flash a newer modem... Search for them there are flashable zips available...
Before doing this, backup your efs by one of many apps on play store like ktool or samsung tool..
Cm10.2 means it is 4.3 android and cm11 will be 4.4.2..
And don't expect features of samsung firmware in those roms.. I mean better camera, swipe for screen shot and other features.. They are exclusive for samsung based roms...
For cm11 you must update your recovery to latest search for it flash then via Odin
Or cwm flashable zips are also available...

[Q] samsung galaxy s2 downgrade from 4.4.4

Hi to all...
i have the samsung galaxy s2 (GT-I9100) i9100XXMS3
it's upgraded (not by me) to android kitkat 4.4.4 CyanogenMod
CyanogenMod version 11-20140804-snapshot-M9-i9100
Kernel version 3.0.64-CM-g89e6992 build03
i have some problems (programs incompatibilities ect...)
and i want to know how i can downgrade my phone to any stable rom android 4.2.x
or any other custom or stock rom.
after all, i need to rooting the device to be more flexible
can anyone give me some help ??? rookie here...
thanks in advance
The device is already rooted, you just need to download any custom ROM you want, reboot to recovery, and flash your desired ROM from there.

first of all thanks for your answer.
If I understand properly
therefore, I'll have not any problem because of 4.4.4
that is correct ?
Yes, that is correct. The device is already rooted, with custom recovery, which means you can just reboot to recovery, wipe everything, and flash any desired ROM you want.
@@[email protected]........No disrespect intended, but this is "flashing 101" basics stuff........
The fact that you are asking it, tells me that you don't have the experience needed to do this comfortably.....
That's not a problem though.....we all start from the bottom, and learn as we go.....
But that being the case, i'd advise that you don't do anything to your phone until you've read, learnt and completely understood the processes behind the flashing procedure. It's best to understand what you are doing beforehand, rather than trying to figure out what went wrong afterwards.......
