Q: If the 192mhz and 304mhz steps use the same undervolt settings, how can 192mhz use less power?
thanks to @thracemerin:
A: The formula for power consumption is: P = f * c * V ^ 2
Where: P = power consumption, f = frequency, c = capacitance and V = voltage
So: since c is constant in this case, and we'll assume you've used the lowest UV possible (600mV)
At 304mhz: P = 304 * c * 600 ^ 2
At 192mhz: P = 192 * c * 600 ^ 2
This means that 304mhz uses approximately 1.58 times more power than 192mhz over the same time.
Q: How i can change GPU governor via sysfs?
thanks to @myfluxi:
echo "conservative" > /sys/devices/platform/kgsl-3d0.0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/pwrscale/policy
echo "trustzone" > /sys/devices/platform/kgsl-3d0.0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/pwrscale/policy
Q: How i can enable s2w/s2s/dt2w via sysfs?

Does this have art support? Tried illusion for flo and it wouldn't boot to android after enabling.
Haven't seen a rom yet with built in usb otg support, does illusion have it?

Nice
I look forward to it although if you haven't done 'light' before there probably will be a few issues due to framework background being changed to white which may conflict with a lot of apps so good luck :good:

What makes it different?
--> MIUI Support
--> Modifications to ThunderPlug (originally created by Varun Chitre) to get the max results out of it.
--> TouchBoost added from Franco Kernel
Features in Depth:
--> ThunderPlug Modifications: When 7 cpus go offline, limit the frequency of 8th one in a low range of 400 to 500 MHz, to save more battery. When screen is unlocked, ramps up the cpu frequnecy to 1267 MHz to
avoid screen not turning up back on.
--> Charging current pulled upto 1.2 mA to speed up charging. Device is charged to 100% in less than 2 hours.
--> Ported Blue_active governor from Code_Blue kernel. A best alternative to stock interactive governor.
--> Touchboost module added from FrancoKernel for better and smooth response of the screen.
--> Fixed touchscreen not responding while using it simultaneously with capacitive buttons enabled
--> Support for MIUI: Fully supported on MIUI with latest bug fixes.
--> Vibration Intensity Control: Let's you adjust the intensity at which your phone vibrates (ported by Varun Chitre)
--> Dynamic Fsync - A driver originally written by faux123, adapted for Linux 3.10 - Disables Fsync when phone is being used causing significant IO boost.
--> Disabled MMC CRC check for extra 30% boost in IO
--> Ondemand governor updated to Linux 3.18
--> Fixed crashes on simple_ondemand GPU governor
--> Small incremental update to Linux 3.10.29
--> Added additional governors: BFQ v7r6 and FIOPS
--> zSwap support enabled: used when extra RAM needed.
--> Various debugging code removed.
--> Bug fixes and improvements

YEEEEES!
I've a problem with Omnirom. It doesn't boot, it was stuck at OnePlus logo.
Now, flashing this kernel, it works perfectly!! U made my day!
People with this problem: @benjmiester @skad @smashdroid @bnwgraaf @sas.mar @mustang_ssc ! Try this kernel and it will boot!!!
It's finally fixed my problem, @KenjiHannya !
Thanks u @nikhil18 !!!
While I did not succeed in booting the Omni rom, I have CM13 installed at the moment.
Perhaps I will try Omni in combination with this kernel.
But for sure, do I install in this order?
1 - TWRP recovery (does it work with 2.8.7?)
2 - this Lightning kernel
3 - Omnirom
4 - Gapps
Am I right, or do I have to flash in another order?
1 - Omnirom
2 - Lightning kernel
3 - Gapps

Man I just can't get it to work at least.on omni 11-10 build. Tried fresh install, tried installing on already setup... Tried 0.01 and 0.02. It just bootloops. Maybe a prob with twrp 2.8.7? or newest omni build? Any ideas.

Kernel Guide
Please read very carefully before modifying kernel features
Please use the official kernel editor tool 'Synapse' for modifying various kernel parameters. For changing governors and tunables, please use 'KernelAdiutor'.
Code:
[FONT="Arial Black"][SIZE="4"][U]Best Configuration[/U][/SIZE][/FONT]
Governor - PegasusqPlus (Set from KernelAdiutor)
IO Scheduler - BFQ (Set from KernelAdiutor)
MulticorePowerSavings Scheduler - 1 (Set from Synapse)
Code:
ZZMOOVE is a new governor focused on performance/stability . It supports multiple profiles. To modify any profile according to your needs, open the "Kernel Adiutor' App, go to CPU under the KERNEL tab. Select the 'ZaneZam Governor Profile' option & enter your desired number from the list below.
[SIZE="4"][FONT="Arial Black"][U]ZZMOOVE Profiles[/U][/FONT][/SIZE]
1> for Default (set governor defaults)
2> for Yank Battery -> old untouched setting (a very good battery/performance balanced setting DEV-NOTE: highly recommended!)
3> for Yank Battery Extreme -> old untouched setting (like yank battery but focus on battery saving)
4> for ZaneZam Battery -> old untouched setting (a more 'harsh' setting strictly focused on battery saving DEV-NOTE: might give some lags!)
5> for ZaneZam Battery Plus -> NEW! reworked 'faster' battery setting (DEV-NOTE: recommended too! )
6> for ZaneZam Optimized -> old untouched setting (balanced setting with no focus in any direction DEV-NOTE: relict from back in the days, even though some people still like it!)
7> for ZaneZam Moderate -> NEW! setting based on 'zzopt' which has mainly (but not strictly only!) 2 cores online
8> for ZaneZam Performance -> old untouched setting (all you can get from zzmoove in terms of performance but still has the fast down scaling/hotplugging behaving)
9> for ZaneZam InZane -> NEW! based on performance with new auto fast scaling active. a new experience!
10>for ZaneZam Gaming -> NEW! based on performance with new scaling block enabled to avoid cpu overheating during gameplay
(CPU Temperature threshold of 65°C is enabled and CPU throttling will come into effect beyond 65°C)
The profile name will reflect in the 'profile' tab just above 'profile_number' tab in the tunable screen.
Code:
[SIZE="4"][FONT="Arial Black"][U]Instructions[/U][/FONT][/SIZE]
>For TRIM (EXT4), use the FSTrim App. or from terminal, run su, fstrim -v /data /cache (TRIM is not required for F2FS FS).
>For every other features, from OC to UV, please use the 'Synapse' app.
>For governor & tunable control, please use the KernelAdiutor App.
>For GPU OC, You must enable 'vpll' mode in Synapse. Use the 'vpll' enabled frequencies for best performance & stability.
>You can type 'systemstatus' in terminal to view all CPU/GPU/Temperature etc status.
Really excited about this. Thank you @arnab

Release the Kraken UNICORNS!!!
thanks @arnab
Seems to work really good so far, the only real bug currently seems to be inability to assign recents to a hardware button - long press home for example. It's frustrating, but otherwise it's a great ROM, congrats @arnab. Synapse works ok, also.
Great work, just that damn recents button...

One more thing - when screen turns off, there's some strange screen flickering - just let the phone screen to timeout 30 secs or whatever, and you'll see what I mean. It's like it turns off, then turns on, and then again off...

Its just a kernel feature for quick turn on turn off via sysfs interface. Also it enables crt off animation to be displayed but its not available.
Finally thanks a lot for your great work but will wait for next build for the feature to have recents assigned to home button

About dt2w & s2w
Hi all! Here i'll talk about Wake Gestures (DT2W & S2W)
removed until they are stable
In the future
Be free to request features for the kernel, i'll try to add everything possible.
My "plan" for this project it's first of all to bring a STABLE kernel. And yes, i'll make a Oreo compatible version (maybe, tomorrow )

Thanks for this release bro Is there any possibility to implement the latest Linux Kernel Version?? Or at least Version 4?? Thanks !
you could add some hotplug. From what I understand are different ways of managing starts and stops of nuclei. But not many intelligent hotplug etc. Very Thanks

Hi, @srfarias, awesome job! Thanks.
Could you change /sys/class/power_supply/battery/voltage_max permissions from 444 to 644?
This must be done at kernel level. Using chmod doesn't work.
I'm unsure as to were to look at on the source code.
...drivers/power/ perhaps?
Unfortunately, I cannot try that myself due to extremely limited data plans.
Limiting max charging voltage extends battery lifespan.
why on earth is everyone building nougat kernels? is this the twilight zone or something? can't we just get one updated oreo kernel, please???

Because that's what the developer wanted to do.
I am quite happy on Nougat as Oreo brings nothing new to the table. Maybe Pie will leave a better taste.
To each his own; don't be critical of others efforts if they do not satisfy your interests. Well...unless the dev is on your payroll.

Exactly, devs are working hard on pie developments. We've a bootable ROM with much of the things working! Keep calm and wait for Pie guys!
Please Add hotplug options, temperature controls of the somefeak kernel, and the adreno idler doesn't appear on kernel adiutor

About Oreo
I don't release a Oreo kernel version.. Oreo/Pie it's on a development status.
Last week i make my own Pie and Oreo LOS to build and working on kernel for these versions but i'll don't release it until squid or any dev release a daily use OREO/PIE rom
@srfarias, thanks for the update. Do you know a way to change /sys/class/power_supply/battery/voltage_max permissions to 644 permanently (on a kernel level)?
Running <chmod> changes the mode, but I still have no write permission over that file.

Keep up the great work
Really love the work on Nougat since it's still the most stable Android version for harpia. It just sucks that the 2 best Nougat ROMs (RR and AOSP Extended) are using outdated camera drivers so they don't fully work with this kernel. Is there any workaround? I would really love to keep using RR while using this kernel if at all possible
