Samsung wont boot past VIBRANT screen.
I have access to both Download mode and recovery mode.
In recovery i have stock recovery and when i try to put ClockWordmod via reinstall packages it just restarts to recovery mode.
I have access to download mode but my computer doesnt prompt me and there is no icon for my samsung galaxy s in "devices with removable storage"
I want to flash Odin or Bionix on top of it, but i dont seem to have the option.
Any one help?
Update:
It previously had Bionix 1.7 , but when i tried installing Bionix 1.8 the case along with the battery fell.
So it does not boot up
So you can get your phone into Download mode? (Yellow Triangle with an android digging and the words "Downloading, do not turn off target"?)
yeah the yellow icon does not install what ever drivers are needed for my Windows 7 to know im connnected. i do get a sound though
Does anyone have any ideas???
This thread contains drivers, and everything you'll need to get odin working. Before doing anything make sure you read up on ODIN. Just take a deep breath, and don't rush anything or you'll screw up your phone. Read, then read some more, then triple check. Make sure you have drivers installed, odin, tar file (rom), pit file, and patience.

Thanks Paging I am trying it right now. I'll tell you how it went. Been stuck for a while on Set PIT.

It won't show up as a device with removable storage when it's in Download Mode. If it's working properly it will show up on a COM port in Odin (in a yellow box toward the top left).
Try this step by step and it should work!
Requirements
A Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
A Windows PC
Your phone’s USB cable
7-Zip, WinRAR, or any other programs that can extract archive files
Handset USB drivers installed on the PC. You may install the drivers by installing Samsung Kies.
Enable USB Debugging on your handset.
Disable antivirus, firewall, and other security software. Also disable Samsung Kies and other software that accesses
your phone. Such software can interfere with the procedure in this guide.
Download the following files to your computer:
Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware build XXLQ5 (I9100XXLQ5_I9100OXALQ5_OXA.zip, 387.1 MB)
copy and paste
hotfile.com/dl/162208594/226b6f0/I9100XXLQ5_I9100OXALQ5_OXA.zip.html
Odin3 1.85 (Odin 1.85.zip,199 kB)
Make sure your phone’s battery is charged up to 75% or more to avoid interruptions during the process.
Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS,
Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.
For backup tips, check our guides on how to sync your data to the cloud and how to create local backups of your
mobile data.
Instructions
Extract the contents of the I9100XXLQ5_I9100OXALQ5_OXA.zip file to get these files:
I9100_CODE_I9100XXLQ5_CL753921_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
GT-I9100-MULTI-CSC-OXALQ5.tar.md5
MODEM_I9100XXLQ5_REV_02_CL1165929.tar.md5
u1_02_20120326_emmc_EXT4_8GB.pit
Extract the contents of the Odin 1.85.zip file to obtain the Odin3 v1.85.exe file.
Double-click on the Odin3 v1.85.exe file to launch Odin on your computer.
Unplug your phone from the computer if it is connected. After unplugging, turn your phone off.
Put your phone into Download Mode. To do this, hold the Volume Down, Home, and Power buttons together until the
screen turns on. Press the Volume Up key to put your phone into Download Mode.
Connect your phone to the PC using the USB cable. In Odin, a message saying “Added!!†will appear on the bottom left
of the window.
In the Odin window, click on the PDA button and select the
I9100_CODE_I9100XXLQ5_CL753921_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5file. The file should show on the space beside the PDA
button.
Click on the PHONE button and select MODEM_I9100XXLQ5_REV_02_CL1165929.tar.md5 file. The file should show on the
space beside the Phone button.
Click on the CSC button and select the GT-I9100-MULTI-CSC-OXALQ5.tar.md5file. The file should show on the space
beside the CSC button.
Don’t alter anything else in Odin. Leave everything else as is, except for adding the files mentioned in steps 7 to
9.
Click on the Start button in Odin to start flashing the firmware to your phone.
After the flashing completes, your phone will automatically reboot. You should be able to get a “PASS†message on
the top left part of Odin.
NOTE: If you get a FAIL message or Odin gets stuck, disconnect your phone from the PC and close Odin. Remove the
battery from your phone, re-insert it, and place your phone into Download Mode again. Open Odin and do the procedure
starting from step 6.
Once you see the Samsung logo on your phone’s screen, you can safely disconnect your phone from the PC.
Hope this helps!

Hi All,
Need some help. My Samsung S3 mini i2800L was flashed with the wrong firmware in an attempt to upgrade to Jellybean 4.2.2 using odin and it failed . It remained in download mode and I did a battery pull ,now the phone is absolutely dead. Black Screen for all the following:Recovery Mode and Download Mode .The phone wont power on at all. The only sign of life , is when I plugged into my girl friend's Toshiba laptop via usb cable and it searched and installed the drivers. In addition Windows makes a sound when the device is plugged in and unplugged, but is not being recognized by Kies or Odin. I also tried a USB JIG with no success.
Is there any debrick file that I can use for to place on my SD card and attempt to boot from SD, or is JTAG the only option left?
yes!!! you can UNBrick it!!!
OK ... good news for you is it can still be read by the comp when connected (prompts by audio signal) ... it wont take more than 2 min to unbrick your phone... tell me have if you have a stock ROM available for your device?

Untick "re-partition". As audit says. Only reboot, reset time and "one package" should be ticked. You apply the firmware in the "PDA" radio buttion and click start.

audit13, yes I tried many USB cables and Odin 3.07.
shivadow, I tried same options but I keep same problems. Can I use wrong "PDA" files?
This is my options and problems.

Thanks!
You are doing it correctly. If the firmware is definitely the correct one for your phone and you know for a fact the usb cable is good then the phone is bricked.
There is a very slight chance that flashing a .pit file "could" revive your phone but at this point I think it is beyond repair.
Time to find the correct .pit file and flash it but expect it to not work, anything else is a bonus.
Beamed in by telepathy.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Download mode does not use or stress the gpu. Once the ROM starts to boot, the GPU is used.
Was the phone dropped?
