Hello,
last year i bought a S3 clone named I9300c ALPS (below are detailed specs), i ROOTed it and i want use RamExpander app to create SWAP file to speed up my phone. But i got the message that i cant create SWAP file on my kernel. I have only 512mb RAM, so my phone is working veeeery slow.
Is this a possible to create SWAP file using other app from Google Play store, or will i never do it on my kernel? I cant find any custom ROM for this phone so I'm pessimistic.

Okay i have been modding a app "Paper wars" by opening it with winrar and changeing the png files. and after that using Auto-Sign 0.65 ive signed it so it could be installed
anyways i can install it on my samsung galaxy ace (normal)
Then i tried installing it on my Samsung Tablet (Chineese copy)
it said "Application not installed"
i can install the orginal app on the tablet but not the modded
So why is that anyone

Ya I checked it, it works on mine 2...
I got 2.3.7 hd2. But I won't have 2.1 roms to check it. Possibly it's a signing error

I had same problem with one of these chinies make android ( Froyo based) . I solved this issue by installing an app "ZipSigner 2" . Install this app on your tab. Copy the apk on sdcard. Then sign it with Zipsiger 2 by using platform key.
Now install the signed apk.
The default siging key is test-key which did not work for me. But Platform-key worked perfectly.
Anyway this is very handy that you can sign your apk on the phone itself.

What is the ROM version ? Is it Froyo based or GB based ?? For Rooting
If it is froyo based you can try z4root.
But for custom ROM , it is very difficult to get support for these chines clones.
There is very little resource available in english. You may get some resource in mobileuncle which is in chines or some other Russian site/ forum. No good custom recovery is available for these clones. One more bad thing is that most of them does not support ADB.
So , I will suggest not to play with ROM's system file.
Here are some link which may provide some info. Eken might be the OEM for these clones. But I will not be responsible for any weird situation or damage to your device. I have not tested anything.

Hi xda nation, i have purchased a goophone i5 for fun recently and i have rooted it (yay),
however i went and did the stupid thing of deleting some apk's that were vital and shouldnt have been tampered with and i now dont have a status bar app installer/uninstaller, no home launcher etc, please is there anyone that can help by extracting/copying all the stock apk's and compile it into a zip or rar files plz? would much appreciate it.
PS. i am unable to update with official roms and unable to flash them either nor can i install cw recovery which is a pain =[

- MTK 6577 1Ghz Dual Core
4 GB rom
1GB ram
5mp rear cam
vga front cam
I want to edit the camera quality, thus modding the media profiles.xml.
But there is no such file present in system/etc. I have downloaded 2 or 3 more MTK device roms, and they have none too. Is there someone who knows where i could find it? Or why it isn't there?

ive got the same problem on my mtk6577 phone (just records 640x480, but is capable of 1280x720 ) :/
media_profiles.xml is nowhere to find
no media_profile

i hav micromax knight a350 . Which have 16mp camera
there is not any media_pfofile.xml
I hold no responsibility If you brick your phone .
So I have noticed that some mediatek phones dont have this file . I also have a chinese one which doesnt have this file .
The solution is that find a phone that has similar camera specs(or maybe lower) , and then copy the media_profiles.xml file from that device and paste it into your device's system/etc directory .
So basically you are just adding that file which is not present in your phone.
You can now modify the media_profiles.xml file ,set bitrate as you want .
Then set proper permissions .And youre done ! Reboot your phone now.
It might not work for your phone but it did worked for my phone . If your phone is stuck at bootloop just delete that file using file manager in recovery mode .
However your default camera app might not work .In my case it just said "unfortunately com.android.camera has stopped". So You might need to download app like "opencamera" for using the camera .
Previously I was able to shoot 1080p 17mbits video max.
Now I can shoot upto 40mbit at 1080p

i have note 2,the rom is dna3 kitkat and
kernal phoienx support init.d .i was do every step you told .every think is ok and the direction intsdcsrd/0/internal sdcard there and every thing.
problem my freinds is when i install game just for example fifa 2014 and itis big game take 1.5 G. i am see the game take the space from internal card and the external stay with out any change.so i want your opinoin about this problem and i am sorry for my bad english.

so I bought an android box , it has 2 gb ram, and 16G space S905X chip
it works great however I would like to install IPTV on it, I saw the stb emulator and I don't like it, I would like to install the one from AVOV OnlineTV apk on Android if possible
anyone done this before? anyone know where I can get the APK from.
