Hi guys
i have samsung galaxy s3 i9300
the problem was with the battery usage actually, the phone was draining the battery very fast, i tried to reset it to factory mode and changing the software back and forth from the latest 4.3 jelly bean to older jelly bean version, it did not fix the battery draining problem.
last day it shutdown at 60% battery level, i tried to open it many times, it ended up formatting it self
i noticed that the battery is getting puffy and large.
and now my phone displays this error, unable to recognize my sim card, and its restarting randomly all the time.

Cheers and thanks!
P.S. I just updated to ICS (oficial) and still the same.
if thats happening while ur on charger, than yes change the charger.
if you are on custom ROM wipe and flash stock using odin not custom.
better to complete wipe including system partition.
Hi, thanks for the reply. This happens when charching and on the go too (not charching). I have stock ICS official.
Its very strange :/
Just wipe your cache/factory reset/erase all data/and then fully charge phone while off before first boot, last but not least wipe your battery stats in your cwm recovery, then boot, voila problem gone, and stop using diffrent charger's, use only samsung official charger

Thanks for the reply. I dont have CWM recovery (my phone is not rooted and I dont plan do root it). I will try and let him drain the batery, then I will wipe everything and recharg while off...
Oh yes, I allmost forgot... Example, when I am on google Play, there is a zone that is untouchble... (exmaple, the "acept and download" button) hmmm... seems like a Hardware problem lets just see after that test then
YES ITS A HARDWARE PROBLEM, YOU HAVE NON WORKING TOUCH LINES, YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR TOUCH SCREEN, HERE THE GUIDE, I KNOW YOU'LL NEVER DO IT, BUT IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, PRESS THANKS BUTTON
Hi.
I've been using AOKP 4.2.2 rom for a few months, today I removed my SIM card to change it (phone powered off). After powering up, the phone would not boot the system. I entered recovery and flashed kernel - no difference. Next I cleaned all slots and flashed new CM10.1 rom to slot1. Again after reboot the phone was stuck with green led (for 30+ minutes, so I'm fairly certain it would not finish booting). Tried that again with other rom, again no change. So finally I started trusted old RsdLite (6.0) and flashed 4.0.4, it worked without problems, all 10 parts, restarted, did some things (long blue line) on the dead android logo, rebooted again and.....
Well, now my phone displays dual core logo, then "M" logo and sits there all the time (more than 1 hour anyway).
Tried that again, then tried EternityProject flasher, that one also completed without problems, rebooted, shown dead android logo (but did not do this blue line), rebooted again and is stuck in the same place.
Anyone know what may be wrong? Phone is without SIM and without SDcard. The last thing I can imagine is that there is something wrong with internal SDcard, some leftover from AOKP that were not deleted. Does using rsdlite equals complete wipe of all data including internal sd?
If not how can I force clean internal sdcard?
If I start the phone with USB connected, Autoplay pops up with MotoCast drivers from Motorola (seen as virtual CD drive), ADB does not detect device.
Here is a screenshot of successfull Rsdlite flash.

!!Solved - booted to stock recovery and did a full wipe. Who would have thought that Rsd would not do that.... Shame on me...
Happened to me also, haha glad you solved your problem
Sent from my XT910 using xda premium
Congrats,Yeah When in Bootloop Do a Full WIPE
Yeah, and it only took me like 6 hours to think about something THAT basic What a genius !! Oh well.... OTOH it's strange that rsdlite does not clean everything.... I still do not know if it was cache partition or user data partition as those are the ones full wipe cleans.
I tried to install the Jelly Bean's build 22 rom today. I backed up, did factory reset, and then I began the rom installation. I was able to go through the beginning and select the things I wanted to install and now it is still stuck on the Installing screen. It says:
Installing... 0.0% Formatting/system partition
It isn't frozen because the progress bar is flashing green .
It has been stuck like that for over an hour! What should I do?
Here is a screenshot of the exact same spot im stuck at

Awesome! Thank you so much it worked great this time! I'm still new to this and I wasn't sure if pulling the battery would brick my phone or something. I didn't think it would but I rather be safe. Thanks again
Hi, i am new to this. I have galaxy s3 i9300.
My gf was using this phone on stock rom 4.3 or 4.4.4 and it was really awful. I am iphone user, but i do know a little about phones and all that so i tried to install some custom roms.
First i tried lineageOS 7.1.1, it was laggy, camera constantly crashing etc.
So i tried to install android M cm 13.0 unofficial teamseek v12.3. Less laggy but after installing telegram app, os crashed. Some trebuchet proccess was constantly rebooting phone. Messenger app could not use camera, black screen. And once phone could not see storage. Wiping cahce could not solve the problem. Meny restarts, nothing. I pulled out sim card and it boot, but after some time trebuchet crashed again and boot loop continued.
So i tried 4.4.4 kitkat cm-11-20160115-SNAPSHOT-XNH0E0O00N and same problem, messenger cant see camera app.
Then i tried 5.1 blisspop and it was good, messenger can see camera, little lag. And then it suddenly shutsdown on the charger. Tried restart - boot loop. TWRP cant wipe anything or mount anything, storage 0. Phone cant see memory card either, but i know its working because i put it in the other S3 which is in boot loop too .
What to do now, other s3 cant be recognized by the PC but can see memory card, and this s3 can be recognized by the PC but its shows empty.
Then i tried to install official 4.3 for s3 via Odin. Installed successfuly but same problem, cant mount any partition. Newest TWRP installed.
I am stucked here now:

Did you try installing the latest stock rom with a pit file?
How to do that? What is pit file ? Where do i get it? Thanks
I did it!
Tried this :https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/solved-pit-bricked-dead-problem-gt-t2535367
And then i got problem only for failed to mount /data. I did then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7yDPszoQ5s
And then just flashed stock rom via odin
Hi, I have someone's old s7 edge which I'd like to use in place of my A10e lol, it still has their password on it tho. The screen seems to have some really weird issues, if I power it on using the home button or power button half the time the screen will be extremely dim/green and half of it will flicker. It looks and works perfectly fine the rest of the time though. I got it to the "recovery booting" screen, but the screen just flashes then goes near-black (still slightly glowing, doesn't turn off) then boots normally about a minute later.
I've tried around 40 times and can't get it to go into recovery mode. I have no idea what I'm doing but I put it in download mode and tried using Odin to flash it with files I got off sammobile. It didn't even connect at first but did after I installed Kies. Odin said it passed, the phone restarted, then just booted back up to the same lock screen. I then tried installing TWRP onto it, which failed saying it couldn't open the serial(com) port? That's where I am now... does anyone know if there's any way to wipe the phone?
@eggy1
If you've phone's Stock ROM ( ZIP file ) at your fingertips then you simply re-flash phone with this Stock ROM to bring back the phone to its initial state.
If you can access phone by means of ADB/Fastboot then it's really simple to do a clean install of phone's Stock ROM..

I can't get adb to detect the phone, but I flashed it successfully with Odin using the files from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/sm-g935p-stock-odin-firmware-t3582821
It now seems to be stuck in a loop of recovery booting into the download mode screen, and occasionally into a caution screen that says no command.. should I try another rom?
@eggy1
Use SamFirm Tool what allows you to manually search and download the Stock ROM matching your phone.
