Wifi, sync, gps are all off for most of the time. Power saving mode is always on.
I am only getting 2.5 hours of screen on time. Just Web browsing, no games.
Android OS is taking 46% of the battery, which had been the case for a week now. I factory reset the phone 3 times already not it didn't change anything.
I installed a battery monitor app few days ago, find out that under android os, something called w1_bus_master is the main cause but I can't get any info about it.
Maybe the weak 3g signal keep draining the battery? But if I turn off the data at night and kill all the process and the battery only drop 3%.

Try a factory data reset

Since you have a weak 3g signal I'm assuming you do not have 4g in your area. Have you tried putting the phone in cdma only mode? It's under the connections tab then more networks>mobile networks>network mode. Also force stop Google play services.

Ok, so you see where it comes on awake over and over while the screen is off. Can anyone give me an idea on what is causing that? I can only imagine its an application but I don't know how to stop it.
Probably apps checking in for updates, turn it off per app or go into Settings -> Accounts & Sync.
Or you could just turn off wifi, no connection no update checks, no battery usage.
what app is that? thats neat!
That's not an app. It's a feature in android honeycomb. Just go to settings>about tablet>battery use. It will show you what's been draining your battery.

That's actually a feature of android in general. both phone and tablet. since 2.0 I believe.
I tried to Google this and couldn't find what it is. Just wondering what it is and what it does? Thanks!

From google'ing the ELM Agent on the internet I haven't been able to find something specific within a short period of time, but I have found references to mail servers.
So I would think this is your answer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44716164&postcount=7
It has to do with the activation agreement of some enterprise service email account you add to the phone. Then logging of that email account's actions. Haha thats a rough guess based on just looking through the apps intents etc.
Stumbled upon this thread during my search to find out what ELM Agent is.
Found this - ELM Agent - Emulated Legacy Mount for multi-user support
And yes, I know this thread is old.
would it be ok to freeze/delete?
I did and I don't see any side affects.

Elm Agent ,tracker, collects all your data , mail, GPS,msg, phone calls, voice mails, etc.
Someone put it there , does your phone get hot, battery drain faster, 5 to 10 second delay or locking up when you make calls, light up by itself?
Unrooted, & unfortunately still bloated; the sound is so low even when turned up full that I can hardly hear the caller & have to frequently ask them to repeat themselves as if I were deaf. I don't even try music or books. PLEASE GIVE A GIRL SOME HELP!
Could be the area you're in, weak connection, on most calls I have the opposite happening. If you have NAB and have Wi-Fi try Wi-Fi calling and see if it clears it up...If it persists after that could be a hardware issue and you should take it in to Sprint.

i did try wifi calling for awhile, but that didn't seem to help and was only available whenever i was near a friendly wifi. i tried a booster from the playstore but that was totally ineffective. i guess from lack of response, i should assume the only recourse is to root this device. i just haven't had the time to study the information on how to and which roms, etc were available that appeal to me. i've had Galaxy S3 & 4 for so long the Note was a real switchover.
But thanks for your help.
Not sure which build you're on but you could try flashing one of the stock files and see if that does the trick.

No you can not, you need a custom recovery.
I have a mod, if you decide to root.
Volume boost:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761053
You don't need a custom rom, just need root and my mod.
I would recommend fre3 rom though. It's very solid and my mod works perfectly with it.
I don't use it for any reason. I don't have auto upload for pics on or anything. I've been off of my charger for 2 hours and it's responsible for 33% of my battery depletion.
What can I do to prevent this?
Thanks

The app is a nightmare for me. Turning off sync, disabling notifications, etc, and it just sucks the life from the device.
When I need it, I hit it from the Web.

juan, as you know you can't uninstall Google + from the device. I could disable it all together we but what other things is that going to affect? Youtube account, etc...?

You can effectively disable it, and it has zero effect on any other Google app.
Deleting it can be done, but there will be library files left behind that you may wish were gone.
Best freezing it.

So you're saying just disable Google + all together basically? Any negative affects with youtube or youtube comments, etc...?

I also had a problem with this, it was due to me using the Auto Backup for pictures. Even if I selected "only on WiFi" and "only while charging". I used Tasker to kill G+ and run Greenify right after I unplug and my Google+ and Media drain has gone away.
So My battery is being eaten by something, I dont know what...
My n9 CPU seems to be awaken and not on deep sleep as it should.
Any idéias?

Found out what was eating the battery...
Wi-Fi was preventing my Cpu from deep sleep.
Does anyone experienced something like that?

Hi,
I experienced the same issue yesterday.
How did you fix it ? Because I tried to reboot with no effect...
I had a similar issue.
I went into the advanced wifi settings and set "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to Never.
Now I get reasonable battery drain when the tablet isn't in use.

I have the same problem, but setting "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to Never makes my N9 not to receive notifications because the wifi is off when the tablet is locked.
Is there any other way to fix this?
