I have read about this from a galaxy mega thread and I was just wondering if our XZU is equipped with this..
They are going to speeds of up to 46mbps on downloads using only HSPA Dual Carrier Mode which is faster than 4g
How do we enable this on our XZU?
Tried searching for answers for our XZU but did not return anything.
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys.
I didn't know where to post and I have few questions on my Galaxy SII I bought from Korea and brought to USA.
I have KT's 250S galaxy SII and I'm trying to use it for At&t. I tried to put my At&t sim card in and looks like it is getting some connection. I was able to make a call.
However, looks like it's not getting any 3G connections. I heard there is some modification on the network I need to change to get 3G. Could you please let me know what should I do?
Thank you,
Andy

Go to the miui thread in development section and use the apn from there. That should theoretically fix your issue...

There is nothing you can do.

From the third post down:
Code:
<< Korea Galaxy S2 Network support >>
Double band UMTS 900/2100
Triple band GSM 900/1800/1900
<< EU Galaxy S2 band Network support>>
Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900
Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100
AT&T and International (I9100) GSIIs support the same bands, which is why I9100s work perfectly in the US. Your device is completely missing support for the 850 MHz band (first device I've seen in years that wasn't quadband GSM other than dumbphones) and also missing support for 3G in the 1800 MHz band.
So you will not have 3G coverage anywhere, and you will completely lose coverage where AT&T uses the 850 MHz band.
My galaxy s3 is international unlocked version. Currently I'm using tmobile in America, however I only get edge2 network speed. My plan has 3G network included, and I asked the customer for helping, they said because mine is unlocked version, so I only can get edge network. Is it true?
Btw, how to make sure s3 is quad core or dual core, there is no way to see in the phone settings. Mine is international unlocked version and it supposed to be quad core, just want to make sure.
Thank you.
Unlocked GS3 only doesn't support T-Mobile's 1700MHz network so you're stuck on Edge. The only solution would be switching to AT&T for now. As for how to check quad core cpu, you can use some of the benchmark tools and look up system info.

Fixed that for you.
OP: the international one is quad core.

Thanks. I asked AT&T worker before, seemed they weren't positive.
Does this phone support Dual Carrier. This is confusing to me. If anyone can set the record straight it would be greatly appreciated.
The GT-I9305 is HSDPA+ which is 42Mbps.
DC-HSDPA is also 42mbps.
but is the HSDPA+ 42Mbps the same as DC-HSDPA?

Yes it is. My i9305 box has written on it Dual Carrier.
I had this question also, but no documentation online helps to prove this. I found article saying that the 4G version of the S3 will have Dual carrier, but that was about it.
Just to test this, my friend with an i9300 at the same location we used speedtest.net at the same time and I always achieved much better speed results. We are both using the same phone towers (AU, 3 & Vodafone).
I know the Z Ultra GPE supports some of the LTE bands that Verizon uses (bands 4 and 2). Would I be able to use this as an LTE only device on Verizon's network. If so, would it be as simple as swapping my Verizon sim card in, or would I have to do some more in depth work arounds? I've done some reading and can't find a concrete answer either way. Thanks in advance for your time!
Well since i got no replies I decided to try it. I got the phone and it seems to recognize the sim card, but doesn't find any service. I downloaded an app on my working Verizon phone that tells me what frequency LTE I'm connected to and it says 7xx mhz which of the three bands that Verizon uses is the one that the Z Ultra doesn't support. It seems that's the frequency used in my area, so I can't say that it wouldn't work on the other frequencies, but it doesn't work in my area.
I bought the padfone S a little premature it seems. I read up on it for a while but I missed the part where 1700 band is not enabled on it. I have seen a few members on here note that they have it enabled on their phones. I'm on AT&T right now but I'm not against switching carriers if it will get me faster speeds.
I upgraded to 5.0 using the firmware update from Asus and it went very smoothly. I'm just really hoping there is a way to enable 1700 band. If not I may have to search for an S plus and sell the phone. I don't mind rooting the phone if I need to.
Any help on how to achieve this would be appreciated.
