First off my tablet is the Xperia Sony Tablet Z Wi-Fi Only. And i'm new to Sony devices
I started rooting and unlocking the bootloader. I rooted this tablet with DoomLords Rooting http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333566 it all went perfect. After that I started to unlock the bootloader with the sony instructions http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ .
Then, i was trying to get a custom recovery, I found this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433466 and it installed.
And lastly I was looking for a Rom this is where it all messed up.... I was looking for Pollux_Windy roms which are for the Xperia Tablet WiFi Only Right???? So i downloaded a rom and when I tried to install it thru the recovery it kept telling me Failed because I was using a Pollux not a Pollux_Windy. I tried 4 roms and same error. After that I though i should try a Pollux rom and that was a mistake.. I tried to install Cm11 for pollux and it gave me something about metadata error( I don't really remember) and the installation aborted, I restarted and Now its on a bootloop.. The Sony logo keeps popping up and it restarts.. Is there anyway to fix this?? Is there like any guide like on the galaxys that u can just go to download mode and odin back to stock and its all good?

I would try to re-lock the bootloader and use the pc companion to put all back to normal....
Or you can try with flash tools if you don't want to re-lock.
I've completely bricked mine, I was on your situation and I start to hack as if I knew what I was doing... Now I wish I did a step back first, and start over...

Seems like your phone is bricked and stucked at bootloop
Can you still access CWM ? If you can , just reflash the rom , maybe it will help .
Try this if all else fail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd8LxBwpYmg .
just flash back the stock ftf or if you have a unlocked boatlader flash a custom kernel and rom that runs on that kernel
Got stuck on Sony logo
Hi
Placed the ROM.zip in sd card and did a full wipe. In my CWM, there is no option to go back, hence rebooted the system to install the ROM after full wipe. My phone got stuck at Sony logo and even unable to access CWM. Please help!

There must be a back option at the bottom of every menu, and the back button may work too.
Re-flash stock rom.
And please don't spam.
Tried to install a recovery and now I'm stuck in a bootloop. is there anything i can do?
i am recovering from a bootloop as well right now.
a flash with a wrongly prepared prerooted image went astray and sent my 621 in a sony loop
i was able to get a running system with the xperia companion but without root and recovery.
tonight i will have to go the way of re-obtaining root again (flashing downgrade, rooting, recovery ..)
luckily was able to run backups before my failure - i hope you can recover your former settings as well.

I don't think the xperia companion will help me cause I flashed an older recovery so it only stays on for like 5 seconds now. I'll give it a try but I don't think it'll work
Why can't this phone have some sort of permanent recovery for all ROMS, like Desire HD had it in it's time???
So a little insight, I've lost my whole day due to updating/changing ROM on my Xperia Z2.
The problem started after i decided to finally unlock a BL to see what does my phone actually get with that.
After it i tried updating to a ROM from original development section, the recovery i had was a TWRP 3.0.2-0,
with when i connected a phone to my PC it was recognized as Z3 and due to that i couldn't install any other ROM
because it wasnt a "sirius" device.
Well then I installed Mx ROM which came with it's recovery, i used that recovery to install Paranoid from original
section. It wasn't long after that ROM started sort of glitching and i wanted to go back to my previous ROM which
was working and to see if i lost anything with removed DRM keys. I couldn't enter recovery like it wasn't even there,
I've tried flashing recovery from adb, fastboot, which resulted with a boot loop.
All of this was fixed after i flashed a fresh .ftf and rooted it from the beginning and installed everything back. The phone
works OK now i can't notice what's gone with removed DRM keys, everything seems to be working as it was before.
After a long read, my point is.....what is unlocking a BL for??? Why can't Z2 have a sort of permanent recovery like DHD???
Why do we (me) lose a recovery with every new ROM flash, i'm actually afraid installing CM what might result in same
problem as above???
And i read it somewhere that installing a recovery to TA? partition could make it permanent? i'm not sure where I've seen that...
Twrp loop sony xperia z2
Hi,

Hi everyone. Recently I've got into a problem. I'm using Xperia Z3 compact. One day I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone. After that I installed Lineage OS for z3 compact. It works fine, but when I flashed my old ROM I got stuck in the boot-animation (blue waves). I wiped cache, data and dalvik several times. I've left the phone on that animation for 2 hours and nothing. Tried other stock ROMS, but all have the same problem. Lineage can still be installed, and isn't getting stuck. Tried installing Carbon Rom, and it works fine too. But when it comes to stock roms the phone gets stuck at the animation. Tried locking the bootloader and using software repair on Xperia Companion, but I'm getting an error. Tried with Flashtool by androxyde. Everytime when I connect my phone in flashmode, the flashing stars and then it says
Error : null
error : flashing aborted.
Help will be appreciated.
bro lineage os is fine

I tried. Flashtool gives me the same error everytime. Using TWRP, just custom roms load, the stock roms get stuck.

I think you need to modify updater script, if you wanna flash Stock roms via twrp.
