Mic and Speaker not working during calls when running CM10.2 - AT&T LG Optimus G

So I just rooted, unlocked, and flashed CM 10.2 on my Optimus G e970 and everything works fantastically except calling. I get the T-Mobile version of LTE just fine but when I am in a call the speaker and mic refuse to work. I can get the call to work in speakerphone mode, and when I ran hardware diagnostics the mic and speaker worked properly. Any suggestions?

Try the .48 radio. Battery life may suffer though.

[Q] call quality after rooting

Hi!
I just rooted my SGS3 today and I noticed that some friends of mine had some problems hearing me during the call. I made some other phone calls and my friends confirmed the problem.I did the phone calls under a good network coverage. I'm new to android and I wanted to ask if someone else had the same problem or if there is a solution for it.
Thanks,
No not at all i highly doubt rooting your phone assuming everything was done correctly could have any impact in call quality, mine is fine.
I noticed my call quality is crap today. Not sure when it started, but it's bad. I'm testing by leaving myself voicemails on my work number. I'm starting from a seated position and the call was clear enough, but as soon as I start walking around it gets very badly garbled to where you can't make out what was said. I put the sim back in the galaxy nexus and quality was fine, so I don't think it's the network, also I have full bars.
Is it possible something could be causing interference to the S3 and not the Gnex?
Yes I am rooted, and yes I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with it.
Was data on at the time? If so, disable and test.
Try another modem or firmware with different modem.

[Q] Callers cannot hear me

Purchased an S3 (i9300) in October - 4.0.4 ICS
Rooted
Flashed CWM Touch 6.1.2
Updated ROM to stock UK ROM - JB 4.1.1
On both the ICS ROM and the JB ROM I had a problem with call volume fading during calls.
I can hear the other end perfectly on both speakerphone and normal, but........
about once every 6 minutes for 10 seconds the call recipient says my voice becomes indistinct to the point of not hearing me. Bluetooth headset doesn't help.
It doesn't matter whether I call them or they call me.
I have 5 bars of signal on my phone and it happens when I'm calling a fixed line phone or a mobile.
I'm with Telstra Australia and have had them run tests which reveal nothing..
Samsung haven't heard of the problem.
Has anyone come across this problem?
Suggested Fix??
it's the modem I think I'm in Sydney and I had too try a few different ones till I found XXDID works good on Telstra

All those issues are modem/baseband related. Find the modem that suits with your provider, there is a thread dedicated to modems.

Best radio for E3970 Optimus G with T-Mobile?

Just sold my phone to a user on swappa and he's having problems with placing phone calls or I should say hearing audio over the handset. I used it with AT&T before the unlock so I didn't have this issue and have flashed numerous roms to the phone successfully.
I am careful to wipe the phone data etc + dalvik cache before each rom install or refresh.
I read on an andadtech forum through Google that this could be the radio and see that there are several to choose from, including the Nexus 4 ones based on an xda forum post. Any recommendation from a power user with a good reliable radio or possible combo I can test for him? He prefers to run 4.3 as the Android version and bought the phone knowing its no longer stock.
The phone has no abuse or harm in any way as its mint and was handled that way. Any help would be appreciated.

I would refer him to the modem/radio thread in our forum and have him try a different one. Also, did he do anything to it after getting it from you, like flash another ROM?

Im having the same issue, tried slimbean and cm10.2 both with no audio on either end during calls unless you put it on speaker phone. Sim unlocked running T-Mobile. They haven't refarmed my area so the best I can get is 2g unless I go into town I can get some low signal 4g. Stock phone works just fine...
I am living same problems.
I was having audio issue with my OG for the last few days. I just recently switched from att to tmobile and also from stock jb to CM10.2 nightlies...no call audio, speakerphone was quiet. Today I flashed the hybrid .33/.84 radio and all seems to be working well again.

Cyanogenmod 11 on E970 on T-Mobile -- How to Flash Radios?

I just updated my E970 to CM 11, and everything appears to be working great. My only issues so far are these:
1) I can't hear anybody during voice calls.
2) The signal appears to be slightly weak? I haven't had the phone for too long, but my mobile network signal appears to be slightly weaker than when I was on JB.
I have read that one way to fix the issue with the voice calls is to flash a hybrid radio, but I have not a clue how to do that. Could somebody please offer some assistance? Thanks in advance.

There's a thread in the General section that discusses the hybrid modems for tmo with links to them. You flash it just like flashing a rom.
As far as the signal strength, stock bars are typically higher than custom roms due to custom giving you a true reading and stock/carrier fudging theirs.
