Agreed. Im not really bothered where and what isle in Wallmart the N10 will be sold at. Im not going to jump on a plane and travel 12 hours to America.

Ok, it seems that my decision to make one thread about buying the Nexus 10 and the reason is a little foggy to some people, so let me try and clear it up for everyone. Yes we could make a thread just for the UK and the US, but you would then have to make one for the other 6/7 countries you can buy the Nexus 10 in being, Austraila, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan, so having 8 threads on where to buy the Nexus 10 in my mind is not needed. These types of thread only have a short life span and will die away after a few months, because most people would have bought it by then, also these type of threads dont pick up that much traffic, so sifting through and finding the infomation you need won't be that hard, remember the search button it's really good at finding you the answer you need. So lets please not fill this thread up with anymore should we or not have more than one thread.

Someone, somewhere on here said that they asked and 'someone' told them it'd be released on the 18th in store. Nothing concrete yet though, and hope that's incorrect.

I called the Walmart nearest my house today and asked if they had the Nexus 10 Android Tablet ("no"), and when they expected to get them ("no idea"). Very helpful walmart.
I hope it is sold on Newegg.com. I have a 500 dollar gift card to there I would love to use on this.

well not a shot to buy from handtek they are greedy uk prices are 319gbp for 16gb and 389 for 32gb and prices on handtek are too high for my taste ,really the profit margin of them is redicilius high and the review of their site over the net is not so well ,even if i am not in lauch countries i will not be tempted by them ,i will wait a bit longer ....

There are at least three variants of L9:
P760 (European)
P765 (Asian)
P769 (US, but screen is smaller and the cam location is different)

I got this phone (P679) from Wal-mart with my 2 year upgrade for 97 cents. At the time they were giving a $100 gift card for certain upgrades so I got that too. I am not disappointed with it at all. I have it rooted with Clockwork recovery. I am sure roms will follow soon. It is a powerhouse of a phone.
I have this phone and I love it! Its way better than my old p999 g2x. Long battery life and snappy! Since it has a dual memory channel controller it tromps the G2x's single channel controller. This basicly is an awesome phone. Just need the mods to make a thread for it and get some devs with CM 10 goodness!

the bad news is that its too popular right now, and that Nexus 4 sold out, with no good horizon on plentiful supply!
so for someone like me that forks over cash for devices, and doesn't play the contract game, the L9 is bringing a strong price right now.
I need some alternatives out there in the 300-400 range to bring the price of the "lowly" L9 down into the mid 200's :good:

T-mobile on their web site here in the US has the LG Optimus L9 for $249.99 without a contract and free shipping. Just go to their No Annual Contracts section and you can get it there. Here's the link below directly to their web site. They are also throwing in a free $60 stereo Bluetooth headset.

If u know someone with a T-Mobile contract acct they can request an unlock code from T-Mobile directly for free. I did it with the exhibit 4g. They just need an imei number

This Optimus L9 was on sale yesterday on T-Mobile website for $199.99 plus tax with FREE $50 PREPAID REFILL CARD and FREE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING. I ordered one and it should be at my house now. I was going to order Nexus 4 8GB but did not want to wait too long and 8GB size seems very limited.
At this price of around $170 net after selling $50 prepaid card is a great deal! I already have an iPhone 5 on Net10 (AT&T MVNO) but I'm bored so wanted to try something else to play with. Optimus G is still too expensive and Nexus 4 is not available at this point (Optimus L9 is just half the cost of Nexus 4 with the deal I got!).
I'm kinda new to Android world and hope I'll get used to it soon.

It seems like cyanogen would support this, I'm gonna give some aosp variant a try as soon as I get this.
Yeah.. Mine is unlocked, and I have tested various SIM cards from various GSM MVNO's and they all work.. H2O, Solavei, StraightTalk, Net 10, just to name a few that I've tried.. Unlock to talk is who I unlock through..

Target stores around my (Northwest Indiana area) have the LG Optimus L9 for $199, no contract. I just picked up one
On t-mobile's website, on the prepaid section, they are $249 with a 50 dollar prepaid card.

Each 1GB RAM module is $18, shipping to the UK is $49, the idea is to get as many people as possible to reduce the shipping price to the UK, so for example, 10 people will reduce shipping to $4.9 each, for a total of $40.9.
I would then send 2 modules to each individual so shipping from the UK would then be added on top, for Europe I can send for about $7.3, so that means 2GB RAM for $47.2, the US or Australia may be a little more, but it will still be far cheaper than buying individually.
Post if you are in, you will need to be able to solder the BGA yourself or get an expert to do it for you, so you may want to get a price for the work.

No, this is just for MTCB/C. I would speak to other MTCD owners about RAM for those units.

The idea was myself or @Oberbergler buys from the German importer and then distributes them amongst everyone wherever in the world they are. I m happy to get a price for UK to New Zealand postage, I dont think it will be much more. I think it may be a while before you get enough people together who are all in NZ.

There is not SoM in MTCD units, AFAIK its all mounted directly to the MB. Its easy to establish the RAM type - just look at a photo, I ve seen one in the MTCD forums.

Looks like I'm the only one in South Africa. I've got 2 head units so I've ordered 4pcs from Hong Kong. Felix is delivering to a friend of mine in China for USD15 and he'll send it to me for free. I know postage from Europe to SA is expensive anyway so this seamed like my best option. I'll post in the original forum when it arrives and my installation experience...

Hi. Can you guys use eBay over there? I just got mine from eBay. Brand new and carrier unlocked. There are plenty more and there are also plenty of used ones available on eBay. I ordered from here. It may even come with the right charger for outlets in India because I've never seen one quite like it (I'm in the US). I have to use an adapter to plug it into the wall. The adapter was included at no extra cost.
