Known issues:
- Reboot once after first boot for sound
- Low speaker volume
Another one
Well just got to try this one out, thought I had my flashing habits cured but no
OK this is by far the best custom ROM available that's not based on the stock rom, all the amazing settings

Oh man. I used Beanstalk back on my Infuse. I helped with the logo back in the day. I loved this ROM. It states not based on stock, that means no fun moto stuff correct? Active-display / assist/voice control etc.?
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Great looking ROM. Good to see some new things here.
Did you merge in changes yourself to get Active Display working? I've got a couple of ports cooking and I just haven't had the time to port Active Display and Touchless Control yet. If you've already figured out these details, I'd love to pick your brain on it and save myself some work.
Will this work on Sprint version? I think its XT1056

Love this rom, the only major issue is ,I had issues with some apps not allowing my phone to sleep. Had themes and calender sync adapter causing wakelock issues.

Okay so I been testing it for about an hour or two. GPS is fine. Data is fine. Everything is smooth. Volume rocker skip works with the different music apps I use. The samsumg keyboard doesnt have auto correct tho. I dont own anything blue tooth so maybe some other testers can confirm if it works but I dont see why it wouldnt. Also there was no boot anination. It might have been because I chose to install the Saber kernel. I will continue my testing throughout the day. Everything seems perfect so far

Okay so I had the increased system volume installed and the ringtones sounded horrible so I took it off. I tried the stock kernel n still no boot animation. One request would be if you can add the option to remove the AM/PM from the status bar.

When I tried installing this ROM I encountered an encryption error on first boot and it asked me to do a factory reset. After resetting I still got the error. Did you encounter this at all?

I got this when I tried with the stock kernel. I switched to the perseus kernel and no issues. I can receive mms but can't send them. Shows invalid destination.

Yea that happened to me too. I had installed the volume increase n I disliked it. So I reflashed the ROM without wiping and then I got that encryption error. I don't know why. I flashed again n it flashed just fine

I've tried many things to fix this issue. But sometimes on a call it randomly reboots and I lose sound on calls after a restart. Usually clear cache and fix permissions fixes it. But not this time. Any help is appreciated

Latest jellybeer4. Ive had this issue on a few different roms. And the best advice I've received looking through other threads is to clear cache and fix permissions. Its only sometimes a temporary fix

The latest commits to several updated JB roms are causing call sound issues.
Revert to your previous build, and then scan the threads for a suitable fix. They are out there, and just needing some searching to find.
It's an annoying little bug, and is kernel related.....g

Ahh I see. I love this build, I'll try experimenting with kernels then. Hopefully that will help. And yes, annoying is right!! I use my phone all day calling customers when I'm on the road. Then then sound goes out and I'm stuck playing with it until I get it fixed. Its a pain!!

Well so far the 4aces is working great apart from my battery life being somewhat horrible now. I may just try fj kernel and see if battery is any better.

FJ's....3.0.9 kernel from his rootdev site will do the trick for the problem.
These newer JB builds are fantastic ....
But of course, no great rom can be perfect ....it needs a bug to keep us coming back ...lol...g

Yes ....use his for a bit ...
My battery life has been great.
And I saw in another thread today, something about this audio bug in certain kernels causing a wakelock condition and not allowing the device to sleep.
This would explain most of the battery drain issues.
Download cpu spy from the play store and watch the cpu for proper sleep cycle.
I've had a solid sleep pattern, and great call quality using both the 3.0.9 kernel, and his 3.1.2 (untested) alt kernel.
But this has been on his latest 0306 build.
Good luck...and happy flashing...g
Well the goo.im isn't working for some reason. And I don't need anything really fast. Stock speed is great. What's the best CPU settings for solid battery life

Been running CM11, for the past couple of days now, and have to say that KitKat is mighty freakin' sweet. Seems to be fast as all get out, and the new contacts/dialer/caller ID are awesome. I haven't noticed any bugs, yet. Bluetooth streaming is working perfectly. Gotta love it. :good:
been thinking of trying CM but these are the things that keep me on the stock rooted rom....
camera app saving to SD card
IR blaster
is there a way i could get these inside the Rom to work?
With most of the kitkat ROMs BT streaming is an issue and other random bugs but yes its always been fast and pretty stable from my experience.
I have to take back what I said about Bluetooth working perfectly. Today, in the car, it "gargled" a little on me, but it straightened itself out after a few seconds.
i want to try cm11 but i am stuck on mk2
I loved cm 4.4 on my gnex. Too bad I'm also stuck on mk2 now.
Ir works for me as for pictures there's modded cameras to enable pic saving to SD

Same here. I'm loving this. I found a theme that has blacked out most everything, so the only things I'm really missing are a rotating lockscreen, and center clock.
u can get the IR blaster to work, just download that app Smart Remote (unless it doesnt work for 4.4)
Widgetlocker for rotation

Rotating lockscreen, use Widgetlocker. Depending on your LS layout it can look strange, but I keep my layout simple and the rotation works fine and looks decent enough.
Flashed the CM11 12/24 nightly today and it is awesome. Totally slick and can't wait for the usual CM features to be reintroduced!

Yea I am a Touchwiz guy and I just tried CM11 and I am liking it so far
I currently have CM11-20140310-NIGHTLY-e970 and am quite happy with it. Per CM the next CM11 M# will be M5 which should be available around 4/9/2014, (27 days). Can I safely update from the 0310 Nightly to CM11 M5 with a "dirty" update similar to how I've done nightly updates?
Although I don't recommend dirty flashes, it really won't hurt bumping from 1 version of the same rom to the updated version... So yeah you can dirty flash, but why not BU everything with TiBu. If you have the pro version, you can create an update.zip of all apps+data, flash in recovery to avoid that annoying 1 app at a time installation process. You can also BU call logs, mms/sms, browser pages, vice versa...

Thank you jx. I suspected it might be ok. The post M4 update discussion at CM made it known that going from M# to M#+ is ok just as going from NIGHTLY 1 to NIGHTLY2 is ok. Implicit in the comments was the idea that one could go from NIGHTLY to M# so long as at least 8 days had passed between the NIGHTLY issue and M#. In other words the M# is very similar to a NIGHTLY except it is older by about 8 days so allowing that much time to pass would guarantee an upgrade instead of a downgrade.
I will research the TB option.
How'd it work for you ? Are you good to go ?

Sorry if I gave the impression I was doing this imediately. I will be doing the change when CM11-M5 is made available, which I expect will be around 4/9/2014. I think there should be a reasonable time between changing from a CM11-NIGHTLY to a CM11-M# to insure it is an upgrade and not a downgrade which I believe can cause havoc on the LGOG.
I will update this post when I transition.
I should add I will stay with the 3/10/2014 NIGHTLY until I change to the M5 snapshot.
Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention...why m5 ? M4s out btw...I was using m3 for a while..kind of like the clean look w/o all the extras I'll never use...I'm currently on carbon ROM...
