Hi I need to unroot my Htc one i still have complete access to it like normal and i am following video guides on how to unrooot but everytime i go to get the ruu for Vodafone Australia on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860 because this is supposed to have all of them i cant find if anyone has a link to the vodafone Australia ruu for htc one please link it i want to unroot but all i can find are the htc one x ruu's please help.
thanks

I installed the Optus Rom. I am taking it today to a Vodafone store for repairs so if you want you can wait to see if everything is ok. The 2.24 Rom for Optus and Vodafone is the same. So hopefully they will not pick it up.

will it also lock the bootloader or do i have to get a ruu for that ?

No it doesn't lock the bootloader, you need to do that manually. Where do you live. If you are close to Epping MelbourneI can help you if you want.

You do know that it's pretty stupid to make you IMEI publicly available?
Anyone can now report your device stolen with that IMEI and make it unusable.

Sorry for the wait. Here is the post I wrote in Cricket forum. Let me know how it goes.
I didn't use QPST. I used DFS CDMA Tool, the demo works fine for writing the Cricket settings. I wasn't able to find where to write the min in that program so I used CDMA Tools 2.7 for that. Hope that helps guys. Ill be making a tutorial soon if somebody doesn't beat me to it. If you guys need more help let me know.

[Q] Droid Razr xt912 w/ t-mobile?

Hello Everyone,
Is possible to use the Razr xt912 with T-mobie USA? If is possible, what Rom should I use? I was reading about GSM patch but I'm not 100% clear. Can someone help?
Thanks
I think it is not possible to use with t-mobile carrier because xt912 released only with VZW and that patch is for converting gsm ROM into the cdma .
That patch will not work to unlock the phone for any network
Thanks!!
Please hit the thanks button if i helped ya in anyways !!!

I think you're mistaken. The xt910 can be used, but not the xt912.

No, You cannot AFAIK. You can use XT912 on any GSM carrier outside US. But in the US, you can only use it on Verizon.
The only way I see it possible is getting your phone unlocked by VZW itself.

Some devices will not root. So you have to try different apps and ways. Till success. As far as a dislike it all depends if it works for you or your device.

Thank you HiwayEC,
What I have read is about security risks from KingUser. My device is a simple little tablet with only Wi-Fi.
It is my first Android device that I have. Mostly to learn and explore Android.
I would like to know what kind of risk people encountered with KingUser, if any.
Thanks again.

Hi,
Rooted a tablet with kingroot. Fast and Cool
The root comes with a supersu like app. I removed it (and all king apps) and replaced it by Supersu because :
I'm used to use Supersu
I don't like the provided su app, but it does what we needs, and it does well.
I don't know nothing about kingroot and its creators.
Overall, it works very well, and I like it (Else if i use it mainly when i can't find an another way to root device).
Glad you got it rooted. There is so much more you can do when rooted.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G530A using Tapatalk
The risks are that during root it connects to a Chinese server where it uploads your IMEI as well as other info. It is also not a real root solution more of a temp root. Most developers won't use it even if it's the only option available for their device.

Well thank you Zelendel.
But you see, my NeuTab is a small tablet, Wi-Fi only. So it does not have EMEI. More, I have no intentions, neither knowledge, to make developments on it.
I just want to use to learn Android, experience new ROM and such. So Ithink that I will keep it rooted with King Root. Men I will have a device more robust, I will remember your suggestions.
Thank you again and have a nice day.

To be honest you won't learn alot with it and there will most likely be no roms for it. Also every device has an IMEI number. It's like the serial number.
