What do you need it for? Just Odin back to MJ7, then take the update.

I'm trying to get google wallet to work with the inc and to do that i need to be on the stock rom with the latest update.
Well i dont have my stock rom anymore, i had to download a rooted one on some other forum. But i cant do the ota update because TWRP recovery getting in the way.
Is there any way to go back to the stock recovery without losing root?
Is there any way to update with TWRP?
The easiest thing would be for someone to give me the update rooted as a flashable zip. Or if someone had a blank backup of it that i could restore?
Hopefully this will help me figure out google wallet on this phone. I will post my progress in my thread.
Thank you!
Did you look in the dev section? nitsuj17 made a rooted stock version.

Glad I could be of assistance
It still won't install the ota update with the stock recovery. It boots into recovery and starts to install then it shows a screen with a phone and an alert over the phone. Then it reboots.
I also saw that verizon removed isis support from the new updates. I need a zip or ruu of the update that someone downloaded in October

Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
Not sure where this thread is, I checked in the developers only section already but I didn't see a sticky thread on APK listings?

I'm also curious about theandroidsoul.com/universal-root-de-la-vega-script/. I can follow those instructions, but I'm new to Android and I don't want to inadvertently brick my phone since I'd probably have a hard time fixing it.
Here you go below is the link you will to follow to get root in MJ7

Unfortunately for me, I swear I followed the instructions in that post to the letter, but after the update was applied I lost root. I'm sure I screwed up somewhere because everyone else says it works. But anyway, I was hoping for a way to get it back.

Sorry but just to clarify, you were already on MJ7 and you were able to achieve root on a Verizon S4 using the link that vladimirtm posted?
If so that's great news for me! :fingers-crossed:

Only works if you have yet to take the OTA.
Once you take the OTA and have not followed the instruction, you need to grab a seat and wait for a root method.
Is there no way to roll back and root on 4.2?

Why do you guys take the update, when the last two updates have already broke root? There's not always going to be a root exploit to be found...

This has been asked and answered hundreds of times on this forum.
There is no way to downgrade to an older version.
You WILL soft-brick your phone if you try it.
Even so, there's already people who upgraded to MJ7 and tried to install the MI1 root and watched their phone brick.
And there's no way for them to recover since there's no factory install image for MJ7 yet.

Sorry -incorrect thread.
Just making sure I haven't missed anything about a root for OTA 4.3 MJ7 somewhere in some deep cavern of the inter webs. Can't seem to find one here, but maybe I missed it. I'd love to be able to get the 4.4 KitKat Google Now searching fixed with lib replacement, but a bit stuck until a root is released. Thanks.
Try this link

Thanks, I did see that but I already did the OTA update and didn't have root prior, so that link doesn't apply to me unfortunately.
Let me know
Let me know if there is one, it seems as though im in the same boat. :/

I've been trying for the last 2 days to update from NAB to NC5. But I can't seem to get it. Its already rooted and I really want to try Sacs Custom v4, but I can't seem to figure a way to do it or thread that helps me fix the problem I'm having. If you need more info I'll be more than happy to give it, I just don't really know what to tell you guys to get this started. Can someone please help me?

What I did was use the one click restore to NAB. Then the OTA update to NC5.

Ok, does it have to be a official NAB, and if you don't mind, can you link the thread that you found the one click NAB on? I'd really appreciate it
