I just installed the cpu-z to see the processor information and i notice that the maximum clok speed of s2 is 1.20 ghz but it only reach maximum upto 800mhz the clok speed not reach it maximum at 1200mhz why? What is the problem explain i am in worrie.

Have you set any limits for the same?
What ROM, kernel, governor is in use?

Try other govenor. When using performance it will lock on max speed (eats battery).

No i do not set any limit the rom is 4.1.2-I9100XXLSJ, kernal 3.0.31-462349 and i also over clock with tegrak overclock to 1.40ghz but after overclocking it shows same 800mhz don't no what the problem is plz can anybody solve it.
Powersaving mode limits your CPU to 800mhz.

What governor are you using?
Also is there any sort of power saving mode enabled?
Thanks guys after disable powersaving mode its ok now.i just operate powersaving from upside Tollbar i didn't read the instructions which is clearly mention in settings. Again thanks

Hello, I keep getting random reboots on my HTC Legend. I don't think the problem is related to the rom because I tried many of them and still the same problem. I've read that it may be related to the radio version but I don't know which version should I upgrade to
ROM: CyanogenMod 7.1.0
Baseband Version: 47.26.35.04U_7.05.35.26L
Did u OC's the CPU? Maybe your frequencies are too high?
Try with a lower one.
Thanks for the reply, yes, i did try lower the Frequencies but still have the same problem

What frequencies are you using?
have you tried to change governor?
Currently using 787 max. and 400 min. and the governor is set onDemand

It could also depend on the Kernel installed, but for a 600 MHz processor, 787mhz seems definitely too high for me. My friend has the same CPU in his ZTE Blade and he cannot OC more than 650mhz (obviously also depends on hardware).
What I suggest, is to OC's just a little above the normal value 600mhz (ex. 633/650mhz), and increase little by little the clock to find out at which freq. your phone start to experience spontaneous reboot.
I would also try the "smartass" governor with a min freq between 19/176 mhz.
Let me know.

Some devices (with 600mhz processors) can be overclocked to 864mhz (e.g. HTC Aria; but is overall stable at 806mhz).

I am agree. My Hero can be overclocked up to 749mhz (525mhz default) , but at this OC suffer from spontanious reboot. The max freq. I can reach is 710mhz without problems.
This is why I said it depends on devices and hardware.
Probably 787mhz is too much for his phone.
just wondering, there's so much talk about overclocking CPU.
why no discussion on overclocking for GPU? is it possible?
i think if the higher GPU clockspeed improve performance even more than CPU clock speed, doesn't it?
if i understand correctly, galaxy nexus GPU is the same as galaxy S1. but with much higher clock speed. So the GPU speed can be made higher right?
Some kernel, as Siyah allows you (with extweaks) to overclock gpu up to 400 mhz, but I think this is useless, no app need more than 200-267 mhz.
A good idea can be downclock gpu and cpu frequency and decrease voltages to save battery.

I think (coz i saw this about a week ago haha)there are two GPU states low 200Mhz and High 267Mhz..
Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong..

Gpu steps are 3. According to information provided by extweaks default frequency values are 160, 267, 267, but you can set as you want.
setting cpu gpu
hi you could try here for more info

That is the "Performace" setting of siyah(160, 267, 267). Or maybe it is the default but siyah considers it as a performance setting

The issue arises if you have a customs Kernel as in T-mobile version for example
I am on Adama003 Kernel and it is overclocked to 1.8 G and if you use both set cpu and Sleeper it won't keep the lower values and it will kick up to 1.8 upon reboot even though you say set it at 1.5.

I have blazer Rom , sorry for the questions but I'm new at this root stuff so if I set my cpu to 1.8 ghz will that increase my download speed?

No it only increses your CPU clock speed...which has nothing to do with your data download speeds.

Hello. If i set mod-perfomance, my sansung galaxy s2 working on max frequency not a long time. After he working on 800 mhz. Help, please.
P.S. Sorry for my english(((
It work at the highest frequency only when it needs to, then drops to a lower.

Why is that ? it only works on full power when needed. Your s2 is doing well the way it does now :good:
does this device have any custome kernel?i wanna buy it and i wonder if it has any kernels, mtk version is the choice in my country and i thought with a good kernel and underclock my cpu i can reach a good battery and i will be thakful if you introduce a good rom or tweaks or ............,thanks for your help

AFAIK Mediatek use DVFS table to adjust SoC voltage so you can't undervolt Helio X20, but you can turn off cores and lower clock frequently by yourself, read this thread and DIY (that default script will limit cores to 5 and A72 cores will totally turn off)

No you can't. That would require a specific kernel, which i think, we will not have.

the hotplug settings (that change the number of cores that stay online/offline) reset when you unlock from screen off
So far from what I've tried only tweaking GPU frequency/dfvs works using scripts
changing CPU speeds reset after unlocking from screen off.

I'm using AOSP rom and hotplug settings doesn't reset when unlock screen.
I've tested many times with GeekBench 4 show very low scores (2200 on multi-core and MTK Multicore Observer show A72 cores totally off, CPU temperature never exceed 50 °C) when use hotplug settings from Skinny boot image.
