hi all, i have a problem when i try to unlock the bootloader.
i connect my tab in fastboot mode, but when i enter 'fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version', the terminal display <waiting for device> and it apparently stops.
What can i do?
i have an unrooted 16GB wifi (SGP311) xperia tablet z with the last 4.2.2 update
Probably the fastboot drivers weren't properly installed. Try to install them properly (and reboot your PC afterwards) and try again.

from the unlocking guide by sony..
"On your computer, you will be asked for drivers. Point to the usb_driver folder where you placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Boot loader Interface-file."
i connect the tablet in fastboot (blue led), but windows doesn't ask me for drivers. i also delete drivers and reinstall them on sdk

Try installing the drivers by the Flashtool tool. If you're on Windows 8, deactivate Driver Signature Check, install the drivers by their tool, then reboot...

Anyway, I have never installed a custom ROM with a device that has both internal and external SD cards, so I always recommend having two copies of the ROM you want, one on the internal, other in the external. Do the same with the latest Gapps.
Move them to the root of both memories. Then, boot into recovery (I think CWM is more stable), go to Install update.zip. Select "Choose from SD card, and then look for the ROM zip. Confirm you want to install. Wait until the process is complete. Do the same with the Gapps package.
Then, go back to the root menu of the recovery, and choose Factory Reset. Confirm and then reboot. Now you should have your ROM installed...

Well, this is the 'normal' method. But i saw in the cyanogenmod wiki page of xperia tablet z that they use 2 strings by terminal with the device in fastboot. I have tried to flash the omnirom by recovery but the installer said "this is not sgp311/pollux windy" but i'm pretty sure that my tab hasn't got data connecting. When i 've reboot, it displayed only the Sony logo (so i fixed it with flashtool)

Hey
Yea i did something stupid , never mind how.
Basically i tried installing CM 10.1 , messed up really bad beacause i got stuck in the boot logo etc etc.
Now i "somehow" wiped my internal storage and have no way to install a ROM , tried connecting via USB but nothing helps cannot seem to get my htc one x + detected.
So basically phones pretty messed up and unusable atm , need help
Thank You.
Yes i can boot into recovery.
It's a long shot, but try entering.download mode. Recovery is pretty much useless without a rom already on the internal memory

Okay listen
No worries mate, calm down
I've been in the same situation! But I had relocked my bootloader at this point - haha -.-
1. First of all, download haason's toolkit (THANKS!) http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1994961
2. Download a proper recovery (Thanks Lloir!) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995002
3. Get your ROM (I prefer ViperX+ Rom with Elite Kernel(Thanks to Team Venom and nik3r))
4. Run the .exe from haason's and install the HTC Drivers, this is important! (You're propably better of rebooting your PC)
5. Reboot into bootloader, connect it with Fastboot-USB!
6. Flash the new recovery!
7. Reboot Phone into recovery.
8. Now select advanced - and then ADB-Sideload
9. Go into haason's toolkit and choose from extra (bottom, right corner) "ADB-Sideload"
10. Choose your ROM
11. See what happens

Is your device detected?
Don't worrie if the command promp say "no device detected", close that windows and the toolkit will ask you for the ROM you wnat to Sideload.
Did you get to that point?
Have you been able to flash the new recovery?
That would mean, that your system already detected the phone
After step 7 adb push your rom to your phone then boot back into recovery and you should be good

So now its all good
For future notice Hansoons tool kit us typically worthless in these cases (and most others). You need to install the LATEST SDK from Google and run commands out of the "platform-tools" folder. As far as drivers go, you need to install the latest version of HTC sync and then plug the phone into the computer before ever modifying the phone.

No, it is not flawed. When you flash the zip the first time in recovery, it flashes your bootloader and recovery. Reboots into recovery again showing received update-1. Then choose the zip again. You have to do this 3 or 4 times. Keep on choosing the revovery zip again until it says completed.

Did you rename TWRP to update.zip and put it on the root of the internal storage before flashing? If yes and it still failed, you'll have to give us a bit more info as to why it failed to flash (any error messages f.e.?). Should be fairly trivial to flash TWRP and SuperSU

It wasn't too difficult the first time, but the recovery seems to be using some sort of signature on the ROM's. All it tells me is that "Install update.zip failed! update.zip signature verification failed." It is named update.zip on the root of internal storage.

Hm, from what I've found on the miui forum, you're not the first one having this issue. These are the "possible" solutions I've gathered from a couple of threads.
1) Flash TWRP using fastboot (rename twrpxxxx.zip to recovery.zip and place it in the same folder as the fastboot executable):
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
2) Update your current ROM (stable/developer) to the latest version if that isn't the case yet and try flashing TWRP again trough the update app
3) Flash TWRP using Flashify
1. download flashify app from playstore and give root acces
2. download img of twrp for redmi 2 note and put in your sd card (I prefer sdext root folder)
3. Open flashify, select "recovery image", find the img file you've downloaded
4. confirm flash, wait until it's done
4) Re-download a copy of TWRP or use a different one (like this one for example)
Let me know how it went..
So I tried Flashify and every time I tried to use it, the app froze right before/after selecting the recovery image. I did, however, manage to make the ADB and fastboot methods work on my desktop PC. I have no idea what I did wrong before, maybe the wrong ADB drivers? Anyway, I did get it working, so thank you

Hi everyone,
I was on Cyanogenmod and had disabled bootloader unlocking from development settings. After trying to update, I'm now stuck in recovery. While rebooting, the oneplus logo appears but later it just reboots to recovery. In fastboot, I can't flash anything because it says the bootloader is locked (I obviously can't fix that from settings because the phone won't boot). I'm able to get into TWRP so is there a way to enable bootloader unlocking using it?

I have the same problem, stuck in recovery, can't unlock, but worse: For some reason I have Cyanogenmod recovery installed, not TWRP. Now, can't install any stock rom. Tried from SD card and by sideload, but it seems that it just doesnt "stick" to /system. So, I am stuck in recovery, can't install CM, and can't unlock, to install TWRP.
Any ideas, other than getting a new phone tomorrow morning?

NO Need To Worry by following this procedure you are going to install stock recovery. first, you have to download this zip.
link - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087019810
after downloading this zip copy and extract it on your desktop (PC or Laptop). now switch OFF your opx and connect it with your pc by pressing vol Up button, you will find that pc installing some drivers if it install the drivers then you are going right. now after connecting your opx to pc open the extracted folder and open "MsmDownloadTool V2.0" . on opening this you will see the list of attached devices (for ex. com device and if your device is not connected then it will show No device). If you your device is attached then you have to click on START Tab on left top corner. it takes 30 ~ 40 Sec to complete the whole process after that your opx restart with installed stock recovery. through this recovery you can flash H2OS and OOS. If you want to install TWRP first of all you have to install oos or H20s after flashing, you have to allow oem unlock in developer setting.

hi
i have an honor 7 from switzerland and i tried to install on him the PLK-AL10 6.6.1 - B651 full, ofcurse the instalation was stuck on 19% and i can't go to recovery,
what i can do to fix these?
thanks
update, i can't get the product ID (to find this, open the dialler and enter *#*#1357946#*#*) - cause i don't have dialer..and system....
what you advice me to do next?
First of all, I would guess you have a model PLK-L01, not AL10. Anyway, we need more information if we should help you. What does "can't go to recovery" mean exactly? What have you tried? What happens and what does not happen when you try? What happens when you connect the phone to a PC ?
Not sure if of any use, but try to connect the phone to a PC via USB Cable, then press volume UP and Power to boot into eRecovery, a second (and I think identical) recovery. Maybe that works? If you make any progress, try the Honor 7 MultiTool.
Let us know if you can make any progress.
yes its PLK-L01
i worked on the day with these and finally what i did is that i put the update.app into the micro sd card and than start the device + vol up+vol down and than the device probebly tooks the update.app that i add to the sd card and installed him correctly.
the case was that i probebly install at the first time locally version for AL10 and than i start MultiTool but the multitool request to open the bootloader in order to install the bootloader something that needs the productID that i can get if i have a dialer and enter *#*#1357946#*#* but i don't have any dialer since i don't have any system so...i don't know how, but it's worked as i wrote from the sd card
So you managed to install the UPDATE.APP package??
