If you're talking about your keyboard dictionary you can use Titanium Backup. Go to Backup All System Data>User Dictionary or LatinIME or something else depending on the keyboard you're using. It will be highlighted in green.

Use a keyboard that supports it's own dictionary files then??? Swype, Perfect Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, etc, all have their own dictionary and can be just copied or backed up and restored.

Titanium backup worked ... but I had to backup samsung keyboard and then restore only data
Thanks anyways

Don't know about settings. But for SMS just check the market for one of the apps that backup your SMS/MMS/Call log to gmail.

Just download Titanium backup from the market (free version).
Once you run it hit the context menu button, and tap batch. From here you can do a full backup of all your data and apps.
Finally once the batch backup of everything is done upgrade your ROM and reinstall Titanium Backup, open it and navigate to the backup/restore tab and you'll see all your previouse backups. You can now restore anything you had preiciously including system apps, games and their data, messages, contacts, and pretty much anything on your phone. Just make sure that if you want the data back for the app when you go to restore it you tap restore app + data.
Hope this helps

I use rom toolbox pro to backup my apps and sms. It has more features than others for the same price.

Sms Backup & Restore is my favorite. Small, light, easy to use and quick and best of all, its free.

SMS Backup and Restore
Its is best and free, easy to use, you can get it from market

I use Titanium Back Up. Create a "batch group" of apps and data that you would like to restore on your new ROM, and that way it is just a one-click process to restore everything.

Best way to transfer SMS/mms and app data to a different ROM?

I use to use mybackup but my 30 days ran out, what's another good app, or way to transfer data?

If you have titanium backup, it has a new backup to .xml feature for backing up sms. That way you can back up sms to a .xml file, wipe/install new rom and then restore by using the restore from .xml option in titanium backup. The advantage with this is that it works independantly of whatever app you use for sms and is guaranteed to work.
Im unsure whether this is available only as a pro feature or not but the app is worth every cent in usability and has other exciting features such as extract individual apps/data from cwm backups directly from the app.
I've been thinking about titanium, but xml doesn't save mms, just SMS. So I'm not exactly sure what to use, titanium is definitely good for apps, but I would like an app that did all that I wanted.

If you're restoring to the exact same sms/mms app , you can do the standard backup + restore. The xml method is just for cases where you're switching between apps. A regular backup would backup the .db file for sms/mms.
I use sms backup and just manually save the mms to my sd card when they come in so that way they are always on there. And sms backup can do schedules. It's a nice clean program

You can try appextractor too. It restores texts from old nandroids

I find MyBackup works pretty good. It can also restore your MMS pics as well.
Titanium Backup works too. Find "Messages (SMS & MMS)" in the list.
I also like MyBackup. It's very easy on the eyes and does the job. I've restored my sms a couple times flawlessly.
i use Sms backup and restore.. it backs up both you text and pics into a single .xml file.. and it also restores it the way you had it before backing it up. it also checks for and add an duplicate. you cand find the app here on google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mNvbS5yaXRlc2hzYWh1LlNNU0JhY2t1cFJlc3RvcmUiXQ..
I use go backup from go launcher team. Interface is easier

Gobackup.... Like titanium only 1000% simpler

thanks for the suggestions. trying mybackup right now. i tried titanium in the past and for whatever reason restoring the messages data between neo's adrenaline and his aokp realy messes up the system so i've decided to stay away from that. and i like sms backup restore too except for that face that it takes forever

Restore App+Data

Hi Guys,
What is the best way to restore apps+ data on new ROM?
Titanium backup just does backup for app and not data.
Helium does not do backup for some importatnt apps which needs account
nandroid manager fails for all those apps which actually has data.

titanium backs up app data fine for me. i use it all the time to restore data on many apps.
i only use productivity apps and tools, maybe 20 different ones without issue. i dont play games, so i cant speak to how well it preserves that data.

i assume by login account, you mean similar to twitter, etc. i have a few of those, occasionally it doesnt do it the first time, but i restore again and it works. i forget all what i have, but twitter, xda, mediafire, polaris office, and more work fine for me usually.

hmm... interesting... will have titanium backup as well... lets see if that helps...
does it also load hotmail or any other email accounts that you would have configured?
anyone else has any such recommendation?
if i manually copy android data folder and then paste internal folders will it help?

i dont use any other mail but gmail, but i used to, and it worked fine. accounts are restored by a separate backup called "accounts".
its only a backup of whatever accounts show in your settings/accounts menu. i had hotmail and live accounts, and they both restored fine from there.

Never use titanium to restore system data. This can lead to huge issues including unstable device performance.
