No signal sometimes after 4.3 OTA - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I am having some problems with my HTC One after 4.3 OTA. Sometimes nobody can call me and I have at least 2-3 bars. After powering off and turning it on it is ok for a while. How can I fix that problem? Any ideas?

[Q] 3G acting strange..

So all of a sudden my TB's 3G started acting odd. It disappears (the 3G icon disappears) unless I'm checking for updates, in which case it randomly reappears and seems to be doing work. Toggling airplane mode on and off doesn't help nor does turning the phone on and off. I can still get texts and calls but no 3G...
Tried everything (going back to ROMs that were backed up from a few days ago) as well as flashing that full new ROM/radio update. Wasn't doing anything specific before it went out...
Any ideas?

I didn't find that this worked at all. Only since the new radio was installed have I found 3g drop because I know I am in a partial 4g area. So for the time being I don't want to turn of the ePHRD. Has anyone else experienced this since upgrading radio and such?

Well I did upgrade the radio and this fixed the problems I was having. Getting great speeds now. But I'm far away from any 4G areas :/
I am having all kinds of problems today with the 3g icon going on and off. Sometimes when its on I still do not have data connectivity. Is this a verizon problem or just the new radio?
I think it has to do with LTE being prepped to roll out and more intensive stress-tests that they may be planning.
I've been having similar issues. I did the entire rooting process then flashed BAMF 1.5 and had little radio issues, but once I saw the 3G cut out a couple times yesterday, I flashed the radio that was already on my SD card. Since then it randomly cuts in and out, and sometimes requires a full phone reboot to come back. I don't think it's Verizon at all (at least not in my case), although my area is supposed to get 4G sometime this year.
I'm hoping the official OTA has a "better" radio that can fix these issues...since I sort of had issues like this in Boston when I was stock, but at home out in Central MA, 3G was as solid as ever.
Just an update in case anyone was reading this older thread--I continued to have signal issues for a day or two after rooting but I think I just had bad timing on flashing the new radio. I've spoken to a few Verizon customers (my mom included) and many of them had 3G issues the last couple days. Yesterday it was solid as a rock, signal better than I'm used to. So it probably was just a Verizon outage, testing 4G or whatever it was that they've been doing.
It's Verizon outages right now, lots of testing upgrading going on with VZW right now.

[Q] Randomly Restarting??? Coverage drop?? Help!?

So my Thunderbolt will randomly restart sometimes.. and drain the battery life down by at least 15%...
Other then that I wont have 3G in places I most definitely should..
I haven't down any root to the phone.. Not too familiar yet with it..
I have the extended battery with it? Maybe that has something to do with it? Idk..
If anyone has any advice/tips/tricks, it'd be much appreciated!
If you're getting random reboots and your phone is not rooted then return it and get a new one. There is something wrong with the radio in the phone.
i had the same problem except i was getting shut downs rather than reboots. it def is the radio, rooting and flashing various stock-related radios fixes the problem. as for services im getting good data service but poor reception. infact my brother picked up the droid incredible 2 and i compared how many bars of reception we had and it was about he same.. 1-2 bars, will sometimes cut off and come back on again. i evem get voice mails without missed calls, another sign of dropped service.. weird but it may be in verizons coverage for sure.

This is a problem known to Verizon with their latest radio release for RUU 605.7. Engadget had an article on this a couple weeks ago. Don't return the phone. Try a different radio and or ROM combo. Mine does it... And it seems to do it more in some areas than others. I travel a lot.
My wife's Stock TB (with OTA update) had random reboots. When we went live here with 4G her phone did not pick it up at all. She called Verizon for replacement and they suggested a factory reset first. It picked up 4G and has not rebooted since.... just a thought

[Q] Calls not going through after flashing new RUU

Don't know if this is just me or what. But since i installed the new RUU my wife has complained that she has tried to call 3-4 times but i never get the calls. In the past i have not really had this issue at all. And at other times i have no problems. Any one else heard of this issue or have it themselves. Also, IMO i believe signal strength is weaker with the new radios. What do you guys think?
signals have been better on all 3 rezounds i had with the new RUU (returned some due to overheat issues). I haven't heard of bad signals for the new RUU. Did you make sure you installed it twice? what ROM are you running?
I've missed several calls as well since upgrading to the latest ics firmware, most times my phone only rings once or twice before going to voicemail. Never had any issues with the January GB firmware.
No missed call problems here that I am aware of since I upgraded. I still get a signal in my basement, where I couldn't before with other HTC phones.
I installed the leaked RUU the day it was leaked, and I am 100% stock, still locked and everything.
Only issue I've seen is battery life is around 10-15% less at the end of the day, and it does seem to get a bit warmer than before, but not out of control.
No more than an hour after I posted, my phone rang one time and stopped before I could answer. It was my wife from her office and I just assumed something came up so she hung up. Now it just happened again from someone else. I grabbed my landline and called my phone and tried. I got really varying results...
First call it didn't ring at all on the cell before going to voicemail.
Second, it was 4 rings on the landline before the cell started, then another 5 before it went to voicemail.
I've tested it about a half dozen times since and it is working fine.
Not sure whether it is the phone or Verizon. I really haven't noticed this till today.
Yea my wife called apparently about 3 time in a row this afternoon. I was on my phone on XDA actually and it never rang. finally on the fourth time it went through. This has me a bit worried.
kryptik06- yes i did run the RUU twice. the rest of the phone is fine just this one issue. I am running Clean ROM Developer Edition.
I think you guys with issues need to reinstall the RUU, I've setup about 36 phones on the new RUU, a few people had very similar problems and the reflash solved it. But I haven't had anyone tell me about problems like this after the install was complete. Well one guy couldn't connect, but his sim card was upside down, turning it over promptly solved all issues.

My problem since the update is cell reception is awful. Looks good (full bars) till a call comes in. When I answer, it drops to 1 bar, or dies completely.
I have downloaded the RUU a couple of times, so as to eliminate download issues. My data is good and fast. It's just calls suck.

Droid rzar jb leak cell service constanly cutting out

So last week i decided to flash the jb leak i was super exciting. ran into problems and ended up flashing it twice.both times however, the cell service and data keep cutting out and i cant surf internet make calls or txt so it is not a bar gitch. any fixes/ideas?

HTC 4.3 and "Preparing SIM card" bug. Won't establish data connection.

Hello all,
I updated my HTC Evo 4g LTE to the 4.3 OS quite some time ago. Recently within the past week, I have started to experience a "preparing SIM card" bug as well as not being able to establish data connection. This only happens when I am out and about. My phone works fine when I am connected to Wi-Fi.
This is really annoying because when it happens, I can't send messages or make calls. It makes my phone completely useless. Again, this started occurring about a week ago. The Evo 4g LTE doesn't even have a SIM card, so I am stumped on what to do.
Is there any way to downgrade to HTC 4.1 from 4.3, or any known fixes? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I think you have the same issue that my first device had. I think on of your radios is shot. To check, use signal check (app) and find out what networks it sees. You're going to have to do this in several places before you can be sure if this is the problem though.
My evdo 3G was shot. (I think eHRPD was too, but I don't remember very well). I know my LTE was fine though. The only ROMs that worked on my phone were sense ROMs. AOSP ROMs would reboot almost immediately after booting, unless I put it in airplane mode within the first few seconds of booting.
Please let us know if this is consistent with what you're experiencing and if you're able to find a fix! I had to get a new phone .
