[Q] No mobile data (MJ7 vroot) - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I just noticed a few hours ago that I have no mobile data at all. I asked several verizon friends at work (where I was at the time) if they had mobile data and they all said yes. This must be a problem isolated to my phone. I haven't installed any new software recently. Maybe a virus? I've tried rebooting, toggling mobile data on and off, airplane mode on and off, pulling battery for a couple minutes, removing and reinserting the sim card, to no avail. I don't want to have to restore my phone to factory if I don't have to. Please help!
EDIT !!!!!! ---- My apologies, my mobile data has returned. After me doing nothing. Very strange. You can delete this thread.

Data stopped working, but I still see 3G/4G in notification bar

I did a search, but wasn't able to find any relevant threads. So if I missed something, please point me in the right direction.
My problem is that earlier this morning, my data ceased working. The notification bar shows 3G (sometimes even 4G), but I cannot get anything to load or refresh. The data arrows are indicating that while data can go "up", it isn't coming "down". I'm not sure what happened, as I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary when this happened. I've got a decent signal in terms of bars as well, at least 2 or 3. Even given that, the data connection does appear to drop and then come back a few seconds later, but the behavior is the same: no internet.
I am S-OFF, global radios I believe, and when this first happened I was running the "le n00b" CM9 kang (which I've been running since yesterday morning with only intermittent data drops and no other problems). After a while of no data, resetting the radios via airplane mode toggle, a reboot, full shut down and restart, I restored a nandroid of the sense-based Vigor360 ROM, which had never had any data issues, but the same behavior is happening. Notification bar shows a decent signal, 3G/4G, but no data. After that, I powered down and pulled the battery, sdcard & sim card, left them out for a minute, put it all back together, powered back up, but still no data.
tl;dr: notification bar shows 3G/4G and decent signal, but I'm getting absolutely no data.
I've confirmed with a co-worker who's also on Verizon that their data is working, so it doesn't seem to be tower/network related. Anyone seen anything like this before? If so, what's the prognosis?
UPDATE: I was in Vigor360 with no data, and kept digging around XDA's wonderful search function, and found someone with a similar issue (though nothing about 3G/4G being in the notification bar) and they updated their PRL via *228. I did that, data seemed to come back. So I took a chance and restored my "le n00b" CM9 nandroid, and so far I've got data! Editing this post using that connection right now! I'll update further if I drop data again or discover any new relevant info.
the *228 wont do anything for us now that we have 4g and the sim card updates the prl when there is a new one. that was the old way to force a prl on 3g only so i think that was only a coincidence that data came back.
you might have a bad sim card. what you can do to test is put it in wifi mode and surf the web. if that works then its not the radio.
thing you can try to do:
remove the sim card and boot the phone. wait for it to fully boot and it say there is no sim detected. turn of the phone and put your card back in. then boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and boot the phone like normal.

Perhaps, but that was the line of demarcation between data not working to it working. Plus, the data speed seemed even faster than normal for the respective signal strength. Either way, I'm just happy it's working.

Thanks - I'll keep this in mind if it happens again. I was able to use the internet normally on wifi.
check your APN
You probably know -
You can always RUU back to stock to have a working phone

[Q] LG G2 Won't connect to VZW Network

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Verizon G2. I had the Xposed framework installed, and I installed an app called Xorware, which is a toggle for 2G/3G/4G. I messed around with the settings in the app a little bit, and left it alone. A bit later, the phone stopped connecting to the mobile data network. I tried uninstalling the Xorware apps, wiping the cache on my phone, and even restoring to a backup where I don't have Xposed installed, and I'm still getting the same issue. Wifi still works, but every couple of minutes it disconnects randomly and then connects again. I also tried removing the SIM card for a few minutes after turning off the phone, and still, no luck.
Is there any way I can fix this, or do I have to go and get a new SIM card?

That's really odd. I'd try and update the PRL and / or Profile and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then might have to restock the phone with the kdz file. It's kind of a pain, but probably not as much as not having data.

Mobile data always disconnect

Hello,
I am experiencing a very weird issue with my 3G mobile in the last 2 days. Suddenly the mobile data network is not working anymore and I didn't do anything that could be the cause of the issue.
What happen is that, if I enable the 3G mobile data, the phone tries to connect and it succeeds for 2-3 seconds (in fact the H+ symbol appears) but it immediately disconnects: this continues forever, connecting and immediately (2-3 seconds) disconnecting again.
I am using CM 11 with and mobile data used to work perfectly before 2 days. I also tried to wipe all data and reinstalling the ROM but nothing, I also updated the modem but nothing again. Attached there is the logcat taken from the moment of the connection to the moment it gets disconnected.
I don't understand if the issue is related to the phone itself or to the mobile company (I am using DU in Dubai).
Thank you very much.

It doesnt look like it is a phone fault (i read logcat). Many error caused by lost connection/null/unspecificaited. I saw that apn called hipri (sth like that) did quite well. I saw that phone was trying to use roaming but it failed too.
My advices
-Check APN on your provider's website (if it doesnt work try next ideas)
-factory reset your phone
-Reinstall CyanogenMod
-Install Stock 4.1.2
-Check your sim card in other devices
-Check other simcards (with the same provider and other as well) in your device
-Go to your providers costomer services , tell about your problems and researches u did.

[Q] Completely lost my signal/radio. Advice anyone?

Out of nowhere my signal just disappeared. No bars. Just an x inside the area. I can't search for networks, find networks, choose networks. Nothing. I restart the phone, and it works for about a minute, then it's gone again. Strangest thing I've ever seen. I've toggled airplane mode, restarted the phone multiple times. I've reset network settings. I'm at a loss. Not rooted. Nothing out of the ordinary. About to hard reset and see what happens.
Any one have anything similar happen? Complete first for me since I've ever had a mobile phone.
And sure enough, a hard reset did the trick. Such a pain waiting on the restore. At least it wasn't something I had to send it back to Samsung.

p20 lite mobile data problem

I have problem with my p20 lite using mobile data even when I have it disabled. I have prepaid sim card and I even called my provider and thay can't find any issues on their side. I have tried putting other sim card and I have the same problem, and my sim card in other phone is OK so I think I have eliminated that it could my providers fault. So I have disabled everything wifi, GPS, mobile data, background data EVERYTHING, and still every few minutes it takes 0.03€ of my credit. I even did factory reset, everything is stock, phone was not rooted and still problem persists.
any suggestions, thanks
This happened to me once
When I changed carriers took 40 minutes for signal to come back
Try leaving it in airplane mode for 30 minutes then turn it off and leave it on just wifi see if that works
