I am able to mount it to my pc by going to the recovery and that's all. Can anyone help me with this. Now the partition is Fat32, Primary with a drive letter. Please do help if somebody can :crying:

[Q] Screwed up sd and more

I just created a ext3 partition for my sd and it got screwed the phone couldnt recognise it said it has corrupted. ended up formatting it through phone now my firmwares screwed cant mount sd, keeps rebooting and not able to use the notification bar (TRIPMIUI mod by cf) now im reflashing my FW throuugh SEUS. Lost all my contacts and messages. Can somebody tell me where did i go wrong to cause this landslide of BULL?
- formatting sd should go first Fat32 then the remaining space go to ext2/ext3..
- both should be formatted in primary. The phone need to read the fat32, those ext2/ext3 are for the system link which only work after the phone boot up normally.
- Full backup is always a good way to prevent any unwanted landslide of fire...
I have the same issue. Partitioned my SD card and my phone could not find it after. I also tried to resize my fat32 partition with data on it along with a ext3 partition to see if it would find my sd card but had no luck making it work.

If you want to start over, reformat your SD card with this:
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
For some reason, some of the custom roms do not recognize the SD card after you've created partitions. Reformat and try again.
Even when I reformat my sd card the phone does not detect it. I believe that its because of my ext3 partition. seems like the phone reads the 2nd partition (ext3) as the main partition of the sd card.
Where does the android system determine which partition is the main one?
There must be some type of script that tells the system what partition to look for. Am I right?
If there is then maybe we could mod the script so it, always reads from a certain position first.
Anybody know anything about something like this?

Best way to create two particions is the method with CWM

Nope. Usb mode doesn't allow for full unmounting. So formatting in usb mode will leave your memory card partially corrupted. Use card reader/cwm.

[Q] Formatted internal sd to ntfs

By pure accident I formatted the internal sd card on my atrix to ntfs. The problem is I cant seem to mount it in order to format it back to fat32. Any ideas?
How do you 'accidently' format the internal SD to ntfs???
How did I 'accidentally' format the internal sd card. Had an external sd card in, which for some reason was named to mot as well. Wasn't paying to much attention and wanted to format the external one to ntfs but must have clicked on the internal one.
That sucks d00d. If it was the external card - you could use a card reader and your PC to reformat.... Idk what to tell ya about the internal.... Maybe someone who's done this and fixed it could chip in with some info here? I did a quick search on it, and didnt turn up with anything... Sorry I can't help ya man.
Connect your phone to your PC, and format the card to fat32 the same way you did it to NTFS.

I tried to do that, but the problem is it wont mount. It says sd card damaged you may have to reformat it. But when I click that it says "sd card has been removed"
Try using CWM recovery to format the internal sd card.

Try formatting sd-ext or internal storage rather than /sdcard. Don't format anything like /osh, /data, /system, /cache etc.

Go to your device forum. People there are more likely to know and help you on how to solve your problem. The solution I will give is a Atrix only solution. I believe samsung has a software of the name "odin" but you have to check with the people in your phone forum.

Maybe you can try flashing a SBF. Make sure you know what you are doing, and flash the full one, some SBF leaves your internal SD untouched.

As a rule of the thumb please don't use CWW for partitioning your sd card as it cause errors. Try a tool called minitool. Use it to repartition your sd card with your card reader and computer. Then format it to FAT 32 file system. Hope it works for you !

The official organizaction that designates the SD card standards has a tool for formatting SD cards called SD Formatter which can be found here https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/. Make sure select the full format option.

SD card formatter also didn't help. It still shows 2.9gb available storage and I can't copy anything
Maybe there is hidden corrupted partition and some programs cannot see it. In recovery I can't mount sd ext. Maybe problems are with this partition?

There is at least a loss of 800 MB. Using mini tool see if there are unused space. Try these steps:
1) First of all delete all the entire existing partitions .
2) Then create a single partition .
3) Perform a full low level format using FAT 32 file system.
4) See if this works otherwise your sd card has got bad sectors which might be unrecoverable even using scandisk

There is hope. I can link all the files to you later because I'm busy now, but I can tell you the way. I'm assuming you already have Odin and all the stock .pda and .tar files. So first flash the .pit and .tar and then flash the .pit and a file called dbdata which should be everywhere if you look for it. The dbdata file should mount your system and fix that problem. Also make sure you have re-format checked. If I remember right just playing around with those helped me with the same problem. I think the dbdata didn't work the first few tries then I tried something else and it worked

Someone in another thread had close to the same problem, this method might wipe your sd, it might not I can't remember, but I don't think it should.
Here is where you can find all the stock files
Here is the dbdata file
EDIT: You should probably also know this will put you one pure-unrooted-straight from the factory-stock.

I think my Internal SD card has broken,so the only way is swapping external and internal SD card. Now the question is i don't konw how to swap them in Android 4.4,all the old ways have failed.
In android 2.3~4.2 ,I swap them by edit /system/etc/vold.fstab
In android 4.3,vold.fstab has gone,I swap them by edit /system/build.prop
But in android 4.4, it also doesn't work
