General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

I am not responsible for borked phones, your howling cats and dogs, or the weather. If you flash this rom, it is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
And be sure to flash Gapps if you want the play store. Also, I am by no means a developer. And these are initial builds, they will more than likely have bugs. Help along the way is always welcome. And don't forget to thank the sources!

I would like to build using a different kernel but am really still learning, so in time I'll get there. I tried chris41g's 4Aces in my test drive and it was pretty smooth.
Which build was it .... The newest... I use it for fast charge ...I don't over clock I under clock.... I know 5/06 build was giving bootloops on certain ROM builds
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Yes. It would have been the newest 05/06 build that I tried. No bootloops when I flashed it.
I also tried this one and did get a bootloop
http://goo.im/devs/flappjaxxx/i717/kernel/3.0.7
I did not try the Alt version though.
I'm going to charge up battery and give everything a go .. I also had a MMS apk that enables theming backgrounds and font colors that I had from rootbox..seems to be working well ... Thamx for the kernel info .. After I charge up I'll flash it

Bug Reports:
Reporting bugs is important But reporting them properly is KEY.
If you think youve came across something that is not working as desired [bug] folow these steps to report.
1. RE-flash your rom cleanly and do not install gapps or restore anything. This will confirm the bug is in the rom and not a compatibility issue with your data or chosen gapps.
2. A logcat is very important for me to trouble shoot the bug ..
3 pull a logcat by connecting your device to the computer and open terminal then type adb logcat hit enter.
4 navigate to your bug and recreate it while connected and watch for a fatal exception.
5 copy the text apd use paste bin to share it with me.. after youve saved it copy the link and post it in the thread. Please ensure youve captured the fatal exception in the paste otherwise it will do no good.
same here
Looks nice! Downloading now.

Yes, we all know about you striving for perfection
So a great thank you for this one...

One question though (do not mean to rush you or anything) but do you plan to release it for other devices ? If so, which ones ?
Regards.

Does this ROM have the problems of the other 4.4 roms? Like no compass in Google Maps, random bluetooth disconnects etc.

Moto X builds are named "ghost" and include slight overclock ,fastcharge on usb, intelliactive, intellidemand, voltage tables plus many more kernel tweaks thanks to David Montagne for his kernel source. However these features are not on by default. Enable them if you chose
Please Support Liquid by Donating HERE
These are unified builds and will work on all variants of the X and the unlocked Droid Maxx too.
The following models are supported:
XT1052
XT1053
XT1055
XT1056
XT1058
XT1060
XT1080
The updater has been testing and works well on the X.
Update Notes:
06-16-14 - add option for proper 10MP camera, hover options under interface in settings (kill low priority and non-clearable notifications)
06-22-14 updated to 4.4.4, kernel has overclock to 1890 vs stock 1728.
07-13-14 The latest build will have the media profiles enabled so third party apps like open camera and perhaps others will record SD-HD video. Still working on trying to get the built in camera to work for recording. If you try the stock app it will crash and you must either f/c it or reboot.
08-03-14 Quiet hours will now work by time, no longer using devhost for alternate download see link in first post.
09-18-14 - New builds will now be named "ghost". You should be able to dirty flash over the latest nightly.

We have a "shake to wake" feature but it requires a bit more movement than moto's version. You can also adjust how often ongoing notifications are redisplayed.
Is hover in the latest nightly? I saw mentions of it in the change log but I'm not sure if it's just preparing for future versions.
Can't wait to try this but I can't flash it until later today or tomorrow. Always loved liquid smooth rooms

OrionLP is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? [emoji14]). We started this project for falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and is packed with a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

Heads up, the link is
A. Broken cuz of an extra 'i'
B. Seemingly pointing at Redmi 1S sources
Fix it maybe?
About to try this out on my friend's phone. Currently having issues with another ROM I had tried to put on. Seems like there are so few stable ROMs for this phone. Thanks!

Nice. We need more ROM with layer support!!! Though I have yet to see a layer theme as detailed as primokorn's firepop or djdarknight's clearkkat for cm
Good to see roms coming out with layers support.
Keep up the good work.

Nice to see a new ROM with layer support. As it's based on slim, I guess boeffla kernel won't work with it. Wanted to check if any one has tried the combination.
