[Q] Both cameras went off! - HTC EVO 3D

I replaced my crashed lcd screen and digitizer with new ones from etradesupply.com. After I installed them serious problems started to appear. Firstly the mic went off. While the front camera was working, the rear started showing horrizontal green lines. Sometimes if I was pressing real hard at the centre of the screen the rear cameras were working fine. After a while the rear cameras went off. Initially when I was using the cams the cell was rebooting. I thought it was a rear cameras problem. So I ordered new ones. Meanwhile the rebooting situation stopped. Anytime I was try to use the cams, a black screen for a moment and the back to the previous screen. Additionally the front camera started doing the same thing. The new cams arrived, I changed them but same old situation. I 'm on stock RUU. Any help because I don't have a F$#%^& clue anymore...

Sony Xperia Z2, runs hot, battery drain, rear Camera and flash not working.

Good day. Im new here and really need advice. I have the Sony Xperia z2, the screen cracked and the touch input stopped working, so I used the phone with a computer mouse and all was working fine except the cracked screen. Send it in for repairs, now has a new screen but now the phone's battery is discharging 1% every minute, camera and flashlight is not working and it's really hot on the back of the phone. Updated the phone software to Android marshmallow, results are still the same. I then opened the phone myself (the company did not waterproof it again), I then unplugged the camera and closed the phone, now the battery is operating normally again and it's not running that hot anymore. Plugging the camera back in results in steap battery drain, running hot and error: "camera stopped working" when opening any camera app or doing camera diagnostic. The Flashlight is also not working. Should I order a new camera unit and how does the Flashlight work or can it be fixed/replaced? I dont really want to spend lots of cash on this phone by handing it in to the repair center again, im a student and it already cost me R3700/250$ just for screen repairs.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
$250 for a screen repair?! You could have just bought a second user phone for less. Camera modules are cheap enough to buy but that may not be the problem. It's a gamble in my opinion.
Hello guys,
it seems I have a pretty similar issue.
My Z2 apparently got 2 new issues - the back camera stopped working (front is fine) and I cannot switch flashlight off once switched it on via menu.
Do you have any idea what could be the root cause for these probably related issues?
Already flashed entirely new firmware but that didn't help.
Thank you in advance.
One more observation here - just tried to disconnect camera module at all from the main board and the Torch became unavailable.
So it seems the torch is controlled by rear camera module.
Think to replace the camera module, I guess this should help.

Is it possible the motherboard is borken?

I dropped my phone. The screen shattered and was if fingers were touching it all at once. I got the screen replaced, no problem. But then both cameras are not working and display a blank screen. I took it into a shop and they said the cameras appear to be fine. I took it into another shop and they said the cameras are fine and that it's very rare for both cameras (let alone one) to be physically damaged from a drop. They told me to try flashing the phone. I did and it did not fix the problem. The phone detects the cameras, so how can it possibly be damaged? The technician said he checked the motherboard but possibly could be a part he didn't check.

Flash and back camera, how it works?

i broke my nubia LCD and replace it sucessfully, but when i was moving the old modules for the new frame i broke my back camera... so i moved all the rest and my phone is alive again, but after testing all sensors i saw that the flashlight isnt working. check it circuit and its all responding but when i click to enable/turn it on, the icon goes brighter and get dark again.
i didnt move the old broked camera module so the phone have no back camera until i get the new one.
is it possible that my flash doesnt work cause the back camera is missing?
thanks in advice.

Sensor/s not working after screen replacement

Hello,
Leading up to this problem I had this awful screen issue (screen burn in) way before I did all that and ordered it to get it fixed.
When it finally came (in amazing condition) I replaced the old screen for the new one very carefully and booted it to power it on and it works just fine.
But issues popped up.
Double tap to wake would not work, and wave to wake up wouldn't either and now when I get a call the phone is stuck on a black screen.
Oddly auto screen brightness works just fine so I am thinking the new panel is causing the issue.
Solved!
There is a rubber gasket that eliminates light interference between the two sensors. When it is placed correctly the sensors would work just fine.
Sadly I did not know that the gasket was needed to be removed from the old frame to the new one. (it's not mentioned in most disassembly repair videos)
Sensor issue after screen replacement
I just replaced my screen on the same phone, and I'm having the same issue, before I open if up again, where's that located to be precisely? Just to know what I'm looking for. Thanks so much in advance

Camera problem

Hello
I had my phone in a drawer for over a year because the lcd shattered and a few months ago I ordered a 'new' screen and replaced it.
The first time I opened the phone I broke the front camera flex cable so I ordered a new one also.
The reason I'm giving a little context is to give you some insight to what could be the problem.
After replacing the front camera, it wont work. I tried installing the original stock rom, updating firmware via mmi codes and cleaning the connections.
What happens is, when I open the camera app (tried multiple ones of course), the back camera behaves very strangely and when I switch to the front camera, the phone either reboots or the app freezes.
This behaviour is green and purple lines through the image when opening, it kind of pulsates and if I get it closer to something bright it takes a few secons getting to a normal clear picture.
This is a recording I've made with the back camera: streamable.com/ilxln
Would apprecciate any info on this.
Thanks
