[Q] [HELP] android blocked firmware upgrade - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !
First, sorry for my english and my noobs question. I search for a solution on this forum, but whitout exactly the same problem as me, I dont know what to do.
So, I try to root my samsung galaxy tab 3 7 SM-T210R with this tutorial: howtorootmobile [dot] com [slash] how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab-3-7-0-on-android-4-1-2 (sorry, I cant post outside link, but its important in this case).
But it failed at "MODEM" and then nothing happened, so I exit odin3 to not break my new tab (christmas gift :/) and now the tab show "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I cant restart, I can enter in recovery mode, I cant do anything. In the top of the screen, its written "ODIN MODE; CURRENT BINARY: Custom; SYSTEM STATUS: Official; HW REV: 0x5;"
Help me please, I'm very scared that I "brick" my tablet.

because battery can't remove, just leave till battery power runs out.and charge. if enough, try to enter recovery mode,if can not solve try enter download mode, and flash again with factory rom,

[Q] Phone triangle pc screen Galaxy Tap P1000

I searched for this error for quite awhile: on xda forum and google in general but I did not find any solutions. (Sorry for my English I'm Italian)
Today I wanted to root my Galaxy Tab P1000, and because I've rooted my SGS2 I tought it would've been easy, but I realized that it doesn't work in the same way. So after some search on Google I found this program called "SuperOneClick" that has rooted my tablet, then I searched for how to flash the CWM recovery and I tried to install it with Odin. I opened Odin and selected PDA file of the CWM, put the tablet in download mode and clicked start, after a while Odin sayed Failed and so I unplugged the cable. The tablet has gone to this screen with the phone-yellow triangle exmark - PC, and It's stuck there. I've tried rebooting, pressing power and volumes but it didn't worked. The only thing that I managed to do was putting the device in "Power reset or Unknown upload mode" but that's it.
Now I want to know that if my device is bricked or something like that? If I connect it at my pc Odin recognize the com port but I don't really know what to do with it. I found a way that would solve this (removing the battery and putting it back) but given that it's a Galaxy Tab P1000 I can't do it very easly. I would appreciate any reply, I'm a little newbie about these thing so be a little bit detailed.

[Q] Galaxy S3 I9300 bricked and not enters in recovery mode, enters in download mode

Hi Guys, I am in big trouble, My friend purchased an used galaxy s3 GT-I9300 europian/uk version two days back, and he is not tech savvy so he ask me to help to install software apps and other stuff, and handed over the phone to me for one day, so i perform hard reset to his phone, and it was running on ICS 4.0.4, so i checked for firmware update, and try to install it via OTA, after downloading update the phone restarted, but update not installed. so i again downloaded OTA update and install it, now after rebooting it freezed on samsung logo. So i wipe it via recovery mode and reboot it. Now after rebooting it freezed on a screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
(1) Now i am unable to enter in recovery mode, i can only enter in download mode, so i think it is soft bricked, not hard bricked, and can be repaired some how..
(2) I am unable to see charging screen when phone is connected to USB, it shows "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". but i think it is still charging
(3) I have tried famous 15 minute battery out
(4) i have tried to install via kies
(5) i have installed 3-4 firmware via odin in download mode, but when it tries to restart, it again stuck at "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
(6) I have tried via Oneclick Unbrick file
(7) As i plugged USB cable (either battery inside or without battery), in both case, it displays "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". screen. and i have to remove usb and battery to start it again, however when i insert only battery without usb plugged, then it never shows the screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
(8) I am from india, and friend purchased phone from somebody else which is from UK so i am not able to get service centre help her.
(9) phone is more than 1 year old, and carrier unlocked, so it is out of warranty now.
Now I am out of ideas, please help me how can i resolve the issue, because my friend think, i have messed his phone, he has not dial a single call with his phone yet. PLEASE..PLEASE HELP ME OTHERWISE I HAVE TO PAY FULL AMOUNT TO HIM...PLEASE HELP......
Would have taken much less reading the stickies rather than posting this.
There's only so much people here can do and if the stickies are exhausted there's no easy answer. What odin version are you using?
Follow the guide in general forum sticky to flash the right firmware for your country. Download the latest firmware from Sammobile.com

Odin version is 3.09, and i have tried rom from sam mobile WITH ODIN, But due to "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". It is stuck at Nand write, or sometimes Process failed in odin., phone belongs to UK,
Since it was on ICS could be affected by sudden death causing emmc failure. Samsung give 2 years warranty on handsets but you're gonna struggle in India. Try "firmware upgrade and initialization" in kies. If that doesn't work it's most likely dead, can you still see the phone model in download mode?

Yes i have attached snaps, and i am able to see my model no. in download mode
Now it is also not entering in download mode, I have to plug usb cable via laptop or via charger to enter download mode, i don't whether battery discharged or some other issue?
Your last option is to try the rescue firmware, search in general forum.
Follow the guide exactly on how to use it, but if it fails to flash then you have a hard brick -new motherboard required.

All rescue files for my device are old, so all files are hosted on hostfile.com, which was banned due to US copyright issue, so links are not working

[q][sg2] no os, no recovery mode, heellpp

what should i do???
REALLY NEED HELPPP
THANKS!
You need to get a successful Odin flash one way or another. How ? Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General. Go through as many of the troubleshooting steps in the thread as many times as you need to in order to get a successful flash.
That what i know. Your phone is booting up to download mode
cos it is a second bootloader and it alright with that. Your kernel
partition is a third bootloader and that looks spoiled for me thats
why Odin cant recognize your phone. You need to try to hold
some buttons Vol up down and home while in download mode
combine them together try to plug in your phone before and after
download mode come up. Good luck
the thing is, commonly when i hear Status 7, the first thing came in my mind is update your CWM / TWRP...and most of the time that solved the problem (dunno if theres any other meaning for Status 7)
theres always search option, you know

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 recovery mode and boot loop

Hi Guys,
I hope someone can help, I’ve watched countless videos and tutorials and not one has fixed the issue I have with my tablet.
Initially I had a boot loop problem and purchased a new battery. Now when I try to enter recovery mode I don’t see a list of commands. When it does enter a mode it only gives me an option to download a custom OS or to restart (which throws it back into the startup loop). If I select the download option the android icon appears with “Downloading”. But in the top left hand corner it says
Odin Mode
Product Name: GT-P5210
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
The tablet doesn’t appear to be doing anything?
Do I need to connect it to a PC and do something else? In the recovery videos online it shows options to clear cache etc but I cannot access any menus? It only will go into the above download mode?
Please can someone advise me
Thanks
Did you solve this problem?
Downloading just means it's waiting to get anything from Odin.
Has to be connected to a PC of course.

Phone Brick Help

Hello,
I just received my brand new Samsung Galaxy A40 (SM-A405FN) and I wanted to root it / install Custom Rom before anything else.
So I downloaded TWRP 3.4.0 for my phone and tryed flashing it. But that did not work, I was stuck in download mode. So I decided to reflash original firmware. During the flash, Odin stuck itself at "Boot" operation during more than 15min, so I decided to reboot the phone to retry (what a big mistake...).
And now, I can't access Bootloader mode anymore, I only have a blue screen with "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use Emergency Recovery function in smart switch PC software".
I downloaded Smart Switch and tried the emergency recovery, but no devices appears in the list. Same thing with Kies...
I'm lost, please tell me I did not completely brick my brand new phone :crying: ...
Thank's for help and sorry for bad english...
EDIT: Ok, the phone is not dead ! I finally got the download mode back with the correct timing for key strokes!
Can someone tell me why I can't boot after flashing this TWRP: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya40.html ?
I saw this post which tells to flash Kernel & VBMeta with the recovery but Odin can't flash .img files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a40/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a40-t4025587
solved?
Brick Problem solved yes, I still have not manage to install TWRP but at least I have been able to re-install stock firmware. Maybe I should do another thread for that problem
maybe you can try to enter the forum according to the device you are using.
