[Q] Persisten search bar - No 'ok google' reaction - Themer General Discussion

I enabled the persistent search bar on Themer, but it does not respond to 'ok google' like the stock launcher.
Is this a known limitation?
A workaround is to add a widget for Voice Search, but it'd be nice if it wasn't needed.

Unfortunately this is a restriction set by Google (which is why they have the only launcher that supports it). Once they lift the restriction it will be included in Themer

Dialer with swipe gestures other than exdialer?

I am in love with the swipe gesture that exdialer has, that is swipe left for sms swipe right for call. But there are a lack of themes for exdialer and also it lacks contacts export and import, ability to set specific ringtone for one contact, etc. So what I wanna know is there any other dialer with the swipe gestures? Or is there anyway to bring it to the MIUI dialer?
well there's been this app called 'swipe dialler' a while ago in the play store. i dont think its there anymore. just google it or search for it in the amazon store or getjar. cheers.

[Q] google search bar removal or customizing?

Is there a way to remove the ugly Google search bar while keeping the mic icon for "OK Google". Or even if the bar could be hidden till needed. I disabled it on cm4.4.2 but it also shuts down "launcher".
I have not found a way to do this either. It seems even the optional launcher in CM11 removes ok google. Nova wont play nicely with it either. If anyone has a way to do this without a 3rd party app I would love to hear it.

Get notifications on the lock screen

Hello
I'm seeking to get notifications (such as gmail subject, or a new sms) on my lock screen.
So I installed HeadsUp Notification which is said to be compatible with Android 4.2 and lower, and I cannot activate the service in the android options.
I mean, there is a "service" option, I click on it, and I find a screen where there is only a text, and no checkbox or anything
Do you know how to activate the service? Or to get another application that may display my notifications on my lock screen? (even if it replaces my actual lockscreen).
Thanks

This thread may help you to activate the service:

I am also looking for a notifications app, see my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oma.../looking-notification-app-standalone-t2925247
I will try HeadsUp Notification.

How to stop this notifications

Hi, I understand that it may sound lame but this notification is driving me crazy.
I was googling a lot but still don't understand why I am getting it few times a day.
Looks like this is something called weather tomorrow from Google.
I disabled everything I cloud found in Google settings and in Google assist that correlate to weather but still nothing.
Any idea how to stop it?
It could also be linked to chrome news/weather feed.
Have you tried disabling it by swiping the notification itself to the left and press the settings button?

That was already disabled, however I found one more that was still enabled - daily weather forecast
I disabled it now and will see how it goes.
Thanks everyone.
FYI I no longer receive this notification. Thanks everyone.

Question Notifications in calendar based on location

Hey guys.
Ist there a way to activate notifications (google calendar reminders) based on location ?
Let's say I wanna make sure I lock my car, when I get close to home or my office I'll get a notification "close car"...
Only thing I see on Google is to use Google keep, but since I wanna do this with daily tasks google calendars task or reminders are ideal...
Would love not to use a third party app

Use Routines and Modes....in Settings.
Go to Settings.
Goto Modes and Routines.
Tap the + icon.
Tap the + under if.
Tap Place.
Choose either Arrive....or leave.
Choose your location.
Save.
Then the + under Then.
Tap Notifications.
Tap show Custom notification.
Give the notification a title.
Write whatever you wish.
You can even have it read this notification out.
Modes and Routines is very good...and you can use it to do almost anything on your phone.
It will open calender...but my instructions were to give you a notification on reaching your home location....because that would be better than opening a calender for that purpose.
