You ever figure out which was better?
I personally like Slim 2.2beta 2013119, the 4.3 version.
I had SlimKat, CM11 and LiquidKat from Liquidsmooth Team and for some reason I have gotten worse signal with the 4.4 ROMs.
And that's what caused me to reverrt back to a 4.3 ROM.
There was one good working 4.4 ROM Nexus Expereince 1.1 stable build that everything to seemed to work good.
I'll keep trying the new releases sa they come out for a really good 4.4 though.

I like slim best as well so far although the screen artifacts are a deal breaker for me. Back on cm10 for now until 4.4 becomes more stable.... I seem to have storage issues with both slimkat and cm11

Have you tryed the latest slimkat 1-6 with JBX-Kernel? no screen artifacts and more stable and better battery life.

I agree, completely with him. But, oh well.
For HoneyComb, I've always preferred Galaxy Task 14. Its fast, stable, smooth, and it feels great. But if you're looking for a non-touchwized HC version I suggest Clean Rom. You'll need honeycomb for now if you want camera support, no ICS/JB ROMs support camera until Sammy' decides to cough up the source/drivers.
For ICS it really depends. CM9 nightly builds are great, but I've always gone back to AOKP nightlies/milestones after a CM9 flash. I feel AOKP has a quicker, snappier feel to it. Plus, AOKP is highly customizable. I suggest Milestone 6.
For JB theres just one port, but this really isn't for the faint of heart since wifi, sound, and the camera do not work at all. This is highly experimental and you really should go here if you're looking for a daily driver, but it is really smooth.
Overall, I suggest AOKP M6 its really smooth, and its ICS. The only down side is the camera issue.
With the ease of flashing these ROM's it would be beneficial to test each one and see what you think offers you the best stability, response, and works with whichever apps you use.
I have been playing with Scott's CleanROM 2.0 and Task650's Task14 slim. I am currently on Task's ROM and using Pershoots kernel. I honestly like both ROM's thus far.... going to test out Bindroid next.
Those roms task14 and clean are for wifi only he has p7500 use bindroid for honey comb or cyanogennod9 for ics.. I'd recommend cm9 look for it in cm9 Site as p4 with no variants but p4

Wait for stable Jelly Bean Rom
I have tested JB ROM. Still its to early to comment but its buttery smooth and lightning fast. After a stable rom comes. It would be way better then ICS or honeycomb.
Test and explore different Roms and decide for yourself. I settled on Task's Slim 14.

I don't see why that has to be the case, provided people can stay mature and polite to one another.
If the thread descends into flaming then of course it'll be locked but in the mean time, I see no reason not to give it a fair chance.

What is YOUR Daily Driver?

Hi guys! Just wanted to post this little thread to get some discussion around here. Just post what rom you use as a dd, and why you think it's the best! I'm using CM9 at the moment, and it's been pretty good so far

I'm using SpeedRom. Closest AOSP like ROM there is for me. Waiting until CM gets stable enough for me as a DD.

I'm using fourth bar jellybean 3.2 ROM. It's probably the closest thing I've used to ASOP. hopefully cm9/10 gets up and running soon! I'm itching for some real ASOP.

Stock, lightly themed and tweaked by yours truly.
Why? I just like doing things my way, change what I want to when and how I want to.

ARHD 3.0.1 w/ Faux's kernel. I can't keep up to date with all of his damn kernels lol. Need data and bluetooth to work before I use CM.
Used cm9 for a little bit but it isn't stable enough for me, also needs gapps preinstalled to prevent play store issues (those issues don't always happen) so back to super sayain 3 untill I finish up speed rom 7 or cm9 gets data going
EnergyROM August 1st, 2012
Waiting for Nightmare to get that smooth ass Sese4 ROM working with Data.
Fourth bar 3.2.1.. I'm on cm9 now just for the hell of it..but it keeps deleting my cda app after reboot

+1 I do expect Sense 4 with data.
Fourth Bar Jellybean. Its basically AOSP with the option of having sense apps mixed in. Its win win in my books.
Speedrom! I can't wait for version 7! Although, as soon as sportstar gets data working on CM9, that will be my daily.
Fourth Bar, I'm loving it so far. Enough that it lured me away from speed rom. That rom just never played right with my phone.

AOSP worth the trade offs from TW?

I ran Liquid a few days ago, I LOVED it, but just wasn't sure it was worth losing the camera. I am just wondering if you guys think it is worth losing some of the TW stuff for AOSP? Do you guys think the camera is much worse than the TW camera?
I'm my experience, it depends on the ROM. As long as the camera works properly, I think AOSP is on par with TW, quality wise. Obviously the features are gone but I'm OK with the quality. It's all the features that have me torn.
My opinion.

Google Edition S4 coming to Verizon. So you will have AOSP with a great camera very soon. No compromise

AOSP is 100000x smoother than TW. IMO. Much better experience
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda premium
I love PA and AOKP tweaking but I miss the camera (good stock HDR in particular) and certain stability like WiFi AC. With the features available in Hyperdrive and my initial impression of the stock Rom (now thinning 4.2.2), I don't think I'll regret coming back, but if I do, I'll switch back once the Google edition roms hit.

There already is a TW vs AOSP thread for this discussion

Android 4.3 custom ROMS

Does anyone know of any custom custom roms running 4.3 yet?? :silly::
I can't wait for a 4.3. I love the new stuff.
I know there are a couple of CM 10.2 dailies floating around. That's based off of 4.3, though they are daily builds, and very early builds that aren't officially supported, so don't expect them to be good daily drivers.
Other than that I haven't seen anything.

You won't likely see anything TW based for awhile.

I'm running fitsnugly's euroskank 4.3 ROM. Very, very smooth and fast. Very small insignificant bugs to me. The main things work well, BT, gps, WiFi, browsing. The camera needs a little work but for the most part is fine.

What rom are you guys using?

So it's been nearly a month since this beast was released and I was wondering. .. what roms are you guys using? International roms? What are the bugs ? (All questions are aimed more to the t mobile variant )

Ive tried:
Project infinity Rom
- EDIT: using this rom right now (2.0) very quick and clean. Recommended.
Shohat
-my personal favorite. Very fast and EXCELLENT battery life.
Echoe
-best feature is the keyboard IMO
Overall most roms are identical, each having their own unique features. I like my phone to have good battery life, that is why I chose Shohat. But the echoe keyboard looks amazing! Tough choice.
