I know there are threads out with this same issue. But my issue is I allready had it working with a apn that required a user name and password. I rooted my galaxy and when I restarted my phone it said my galaxy loading screen it said custom on the bottom on the loading screen where it says samsung galaxy. anyways I went on to delete some bloatware and I somehow crashed google play. so I could not get into the store. I tried to reset the phone to factory specs but that does not fix my issues since it only loads the apk that I did not delete google play did not work.
So I downloaded a file from here for my i527 phone and flashed it with odin and got it back up and running. Re rooted it cant get the custom loading screen back up but I cant remember the apn I used that worked with my phone to get text messages to send and receive pictures. I know I had to enter a username and password. I know the password was password if anyone knows these straight talk to att apn please foward it to me.

Yes I tried those settings thinking about formatting phone back to factory defaults. I think the file I used to get bqck to stock after I deleted some apk that where for google play os the culprit. 8t worked before I used that file not afterwards.

After rooting did you install adblock by chance... That blocked my att phone from sending or receiving mms. Another thing is rooting itself shouldn't have altered your apn in any way, so if it changed something is wrong.since rooting does nothing more than granting you root level access, nothing at all should have changed except your knox warranty status after flashing recovery.

I just installed Cyanogenmod 10 on my Spring Motorola Photon 4G, and after I find that I have no MMS which after research seems to be very common. I'm seeing that most people use go sms pro as a work around to this. I installed it and still no MMS. I also see that people did editing to some of the options under the advanced menu which involves changing the I want to say the address of what MMS uses to send which also look to be carrier specific. Since I don't know what these are called I've found it difficult to find. If anyone could offer some assistance in me getting my MMS working again that'd be great.

add the APN's if you haven't.
What exactly are the Sprint APN's?

EDIT: tried the SIII method, then and added the APN's manually. Then the new version came out, so I reflashed and did a factory reset. That seemed to do the trick!
I am on beans build 20 and just today I cant send any sms or mms messages. I tried another app too (gosms) I can get on the Internet just fine (im posting this via lte so I know I have data) anytime I go to send a message it says that the service is un available and the message will sent when the service becomes available. I need to try and fix this. Heres what ive tried so far.
Re flashing the modem
Tried a different rom (carbon everything kept force closing so I couldn't try a message)
And finally restoring a backup of beans
Nothing of those worked.

Anyone know of a trick to getting AT&T Visual Voicemail to work on Unlocked T-Mobile? The app will install, but not connect during setup process.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
****EDIT*** It turns out that is was an AT&T issue when they provisioned my SIMS for LTE they didn't setup my email.
Thanks everyone for the help!

I have it working just fine. I downloaded the app from the app store and opened it up. After opening the app, I was prompted to dial my voicemail. Then entered my password. I had no new messages so I closed it out and then was prompted to enter my voicemail password in visual voicemail. Haven't had any issues. I am using an international ROM as well

Wonder why I'm having a problem. I'm running Alliance rom from the international thread. It ask me to enter the 10 digit mail box number of the person I'm trying to reach and when I enter my phone number it says sorry can't find the mail box. A third party app works so I'm wondering if my problem might be carrier related.
Thank you for your response.

i'M ON 3.1 I think it's carrier related because it does the same on other roms. Plus I had to get AT&T to provision my sim card for LTE. I'm sure they screwed something up.

That's odd. I didn't have to do any of that. I purchased my phone from T-Mobile, SIM unlock through Cellunlocker.net, changed my APN settings and I was good to go. It shouldn't make a difference as I am using an unlocked T-Mobile variant and my VVM is working fine. Send me a PM around 7PM EST or so and I can see if I can get it working for you.

I'm glad that you got it taken care of. I know how frustrating it can be for a phone not to function as intended.
I'm trying to use a T-Mobile sim in a VS987 and I constantly get the following error message in my notifications: "Sim card is not from verizon wireless"
To make matters worse, every single time I open up a web browser the entire screen gets blurred and I'm hit with the error message: "No internet connection - please contact customer service at (800) 922-0204."
My mobile data works, and having to see that message every single time I open a web browser is very frustrating. I getting help from a few Verizon reps and the last one was such an asshole. When I didn't want to come back to Verizon he was pretty much like "there's nothing I can do", was incredibly aloof, and rude-toned.
Does anyone know how to get around this? All help would be appreciated. I just purchased this phone little over a month ago and I regret it so much that I cannot return it.
You need to edit the apn settings, and the message will not go away, just swipe it away

I already followed these instructions to get the data to work in the first place, however it didn't get rid of the message that prompts every time I open a web browser.

If you followed that it should work. You may need to do a factory reset if nothing else is working. I had a Verizon g5 before on t-mobiles network without any issues other than it telling me it's not a Verizon sim but data worked and I used browser without any message. I returned it though and ended up getting the t mobile version for root and custom ROMs.
I recently purchased a V30 H931 and was hoping to use it on Verizon.
I followed the guides and Frankensteined it to US998 and unlocked the bootloader. Had no problems with that.
MMS, calls and data work just fine.
SMS both sends and receives, but the phone never thinks it sends it successfully. It gets stuck on sending and eventually shows a "failure" prompting me to retry.
Tried rebooting, multiple messages app, removing SIM (still works fine in my old phone) and even flashed the stock Verizon rom. Never once has it realized that the SMS is sent successfully.
Was I wrong in my research that I could fully convert the H931 to work on Verizon? Does anyone have ideas or has anyone fixed this problem?
If I need to return the phone, is it possible to lock the bootloader and get it back to stock H931?
Thanks for any help.

Yes I've flashed this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/rom-lg-vs996-20d-rom-t3830564
Still didn't work.
I've tried multiple messages apps including the two that come default with the above rom Meesaging, Verizon Message+ and I have also tried Googles Messages app.
I appreciate your help. Thank you.
Edit: I found this thread with no real solution for OP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/sms-stuck-sending-using-frankenstein-t3823757
I may just have to return the phone and buy a different model. Do you know what the process would be to lock the bootloader and flash stock H931?

@my.ads0 fixed it:

After a lot of sleuthing, and some subsequent testing, I found that the default APN settings for MMS messaging is saved in:
\root\data\data\com.android.mms\shared_prefs\com.a ndroid.mms_preferences.xml
Now, there's a lot of other stuff in there, and I didn't feel comfortable changing things around in that file, so I used another program, Shortcut Master Lite, from the XDA forums, to search for those hidden settings.
In ShortcutMaster Lite, I clicked the hamburger (3-dot) button choose App Explorer.
I scrolled down to and clicked on Messaging (com.android.mms)
I scrolled to the bottom and clicked on MmsSprintSettingActivity
I clicked on Launch
There I was able to see what the default MMS settings are. In my case, this was still set to the Sprint URL, https:/mms.sprintpcs.com, and some fancy Gateway and Port.
I changed these values to match up with Verizon's MMS settings, so I set the URL to http://mms.vtext.com/servelets/mms, and then left Gateway and Set Port blank. After saving this, the phone IMMEDIATELY rebooted on it's own. After a brief heart attack, the phone rebooted and .... whaBAM! Both Messaging and Messenger work fine now!
I posted instructions in the Guide section as well. That can be found here.
Thanks for your assistance, everybody.
