Is there any way to install themer on Nexus 7 2013. As far as i know themer is just for phones.
If someone could point me a direction how to do it or any suggestion at all .
I have Sinless rom based on kitkat 4.4.2 and everything runs so smooth and nice but without anytheme my tablet seems like it's "sad"
I don't like kitkat color ,this grey is kind of depressing for me.

I was actually disapointed when I found out Themer wasn't available for Tablets.
This post though, makes me slighty happier!
I don't know if this may work:
Install Xposed installer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Install module All Apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
it may allow you to get themer from the play store and test it... I don't know how it will work on a tablet, but if you have the time and are rooted, you can try it...
Nice work

Hi, i have two questions for you, because i don't know what to do...
- the first one : Android 4.0 will be released for this phone ?
- the second one : is it possible to have an official version of Android gingerbread without Touchwiz for the galaxy S II ? ( i don't very like Touchwiz )
I ask you this questions because i don't know if it's better to wait the nexus prime, or to buy this phone... ( sorry for my english, i'm not very good )
Thank you !
1. Yes, probably
2. CM7 is already available, think of it as souped-up AOSP
If you can wait then go for the nexus prime, but there'll always be something better around the corner and the SGS2 is the best out there for the meanwhile
Ill probably be getting the samsung g note but I wonder will the nexus prime have a removable sd card.
thank you for your answers ! i think i will buy the galaxy ! but one last question : the CyanogenMod roms aren't stable yet ?

They're stable enough, as most users would agree, but there are other AOSP ROMs out there that are pure Android, without any CM stuff. It depends what you want, obviously, but if you're after pure Android (as on a Nexus, for example) then that's available and working very well.

Did you ever use and Android based phone before? Install different launcher and get rid of TW. Root your phone and delete samsung based apps with Root Uninstaller. That's it
if you don't like touchwiz you don't need to switch the rom, just search the market for a launcher that suits your liking and customize it to your preference.
i dont think touchwiz sucks that bad. but i wanted to have more control over how the app drawer sorts apps, so i downloaded go launcher ex (completely free) and i got what i want.

+1 I love TouchWiz 4.0. It's fast, smooth and looks awesome. In addition, I love using some of the widgets that are TouchWiz only. Also if you are a TouchWiz user, you can download an app called Appzorter to alphabetize your app drawer (only works on root though). I've tried other launchers and none of them seem to be as fluid as Touchwiz is.
personnaly, i think touchwiz is not very beautiful, the galaxy seems to be an old phone with that. i prefer the style of android, but it's my opinion.
Sounds like your comparing touchwiz 4 to touchwiz 3 in the galaxy i9000.
Touchwiz 4 is silky smooth compared to any other launcher and adds great functionality compared to an standard android device.

I'm a fan of pure Android too, but it obviously doesn't hurt to try all the alternatives out there. As I said ealier I use MIUI, but it's very much NOT pure Android, although built on an AOSP ROM. CM is also built from the ground up, and that's very popular. Your best bet is to just forget what you already know and try what's out there, because there are some great ROMs available. Just bear in mind that a lot of them are simply tweaked Samsung ROMs, and nothing "new" (no disrespect meant to the developers - purely an observation).
I hated the look of MIUI before I tried it because it looked like someone just wanted Android to look like the iPhone, but trying it really showed me how wrong it was. I just guess it's the same with all ROMs. Don't take anyone's word for it - try it for yourself.
possible MIUI rom ported to MediaPad?
I see MIUI rom on Nexus 7 it's so cool... :crying:
miui nexus 7 ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841208
I've never been a fan of miui roms, they look so much like iphone ui, and all those colored icons and layouts make the device look like a tablet for kids.
if it's even possible to port a rom to the mediapad i prefer something from samsung 7" tablets, the look of touchwiz is really special.
I don't think anyone is working on a MIUI rom. I personally wouldn't want to turn my tablet into a giant phone, since to my knowledge they haven't implemented a tablet UI yet. It seems like there aren't many developers working on ROMs for our device as it is, I say let them work on trying to get HDMI on Jelly Bean instead.
HTC sense from flyer would be great if someone port it

There's a very large library of themes to change the colored icons and menus. Even still, I don't think the default looks at all like the iPhone.
I have MIUI on my phone and absolutely love it. Menus, toggles, drop down/pop-ups are so much cleaner. Would be awesome to have on my tablet too.

Remember when cyanogenmod team brought life back to all our old phones? i was one of the lucky ones to get my HTC WILDFIRE supported by CM. at the same time MIUI pulled the middle finger and said F**K YOU!! we only develop for the the powerul devices.
what's the point of an after-market ROM when it dosn't support devices with few features.
after all, we are still stuck with two CM and AOKP ROMs that are not qualified enough to be used daily! how can we now start on MIUI?
it's useless
i'm sorry but that's the truth :crying: and i'm sad as F**K seeing all other devices on xda having tens of working ROMs.
we need more developers. i'm not one, but i help testing and do all my best to get something working.
huawei published all ics sources long time ago. It doesn't seems that's not helping, we already have an unlocked bootloader by default... pointless complaint imho, we only need interested developers

From my understanding, the T-Mo springboard is a redone Huawei Mediapad. The Springboard here has a very very small userbase, however the mediapad in China (from what I understand) has a much larger base. Given that MIUI is developed in China... I would think that the tablet might get some attention.

hello,
i have a d2att running the latest PACman nightly. I heard of kitkat's release and I really like the way it looks, but there are no kitkat ROMS yet for the s3, which I can understand as kitkat was only released 3 days ago. Does anyone know of any good themes or icon packs, preferably free ones, that I can use to make my phone look like it's running kitkat?

Hi there, our tablet is becoming old. Currently I had installed the Nameless ROM and I love it, but the tablet is still a little laggy and more than a little when you open a few apps... Do you think that the ROMs based on Honeycomb could run smoother in our devices?
I tried to set up an 1GB swap partition but really don't feel any difference...
So, I think it could be a good idea to post if you wise guys know any tweaks or configurations to make our tablets more efficient devices
Thanks in advance

Hello !
In january 2014 I loved the port made by SGT7, JB 4.3.1/Cyano10.2, very smooth, no laggy but JB...:cyclops:
In july 2014 I decided to try Nameless, the only that release every night an updated rom, and keep alive everyday tab 10.1 with KK444... but in my own, too laggy also overclocked and youtube problems...
In september 2014 I tried OMNI Homemade by AAccount and... damn! I really loved it, smooth, human battery drain, no youtube problems, for now I keep the 20/09 3G release with installed stock browser.apk from Nameless...
Honeycomb rom don't run smooter and too outdated...
Thank you frank! I'll try the omni homemade one and I'll tell you [emoji6]
Please post questions in the Q & A section. You can post in my Q&A, Root, Stock rom thread or start a new thread for yoir question.
This keeps our development areas clean.
Thanks, Gil81

How did it go? I had the same experience with Nameless. Nice ROM, but laggy. I'm sure the older hardware is the issue.
Have you found any tweaks to help?
It was really nice and fast. But I'd sold it and change it for an iPad Air 2 [emoji5]️

My condolences! I had an iPod and they get outdated so quick and the apps no longer work because they don't support older OSes. That's the great thing about XDA. The apps last longer and you can usually root your device and upgrade it if need be to keep up more than with an iOS device.
Thanks for the update!
iPad Air 2 was announced two weeks ago. It will far outlast the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

I very seriously doubt that.
yuck. Not having luck.
Just went with CM11 all seems good except msps 9.1.2. Using maps 8.1.2 with no issue though.
I had the nameless rom installed as well. Yesterday i installed lollipop and it actually seems to be running a little quicker!

I will never install lollipop as xposed does not work nor the plugins i used to customize my g2. I'm happy as is.
Besides, lollipop looks like it is designed by my 9yr old kid. Lots of bright overexposed colors with childish icons that look like someone would draw during pictionary.

You could go with CM 12 when the theming engine is ready.
I had heavily used xposed as well, at least in my opinion, sometimes as much as 20 modules. Normally about 5-7.
Now at CM 12 I disabled even root and am happy as it is.
No matter what I tried the original LG rom with custom kernel, or not, was always laggy to me, incoming call screen as hell..
Might have to do something with the apps I had to install ... Maas...however CM is something completely different..
Or might not have been laggy, now perceived as laggy after I tried CM
Only thing I miss is the custom camera apps... or camera fixes.
