i read the forum straight 2 days and there is similer problem which is that sim is not detected by my galaxy s2 suddenly..
but as a matter of fact my imei num still display and with out sim card it can boot but have to connect the charger cable otherwise only boot screen and then auto switched off.. with sim sometimes boot with charger but no sim detect.. i have tried hard reset wipe cache and install firmfear again.

What do u mean u cant install any sim?? are u saying that its not e1 detecting the sim card??? Or is it giving u any errors??

I9100XWLST_I9100ODDLSE_I9100DDLS9_HOME.tar.md5 this is the firmware file which i install with odin.. i again install it to check with wipe data and factory reset but nothing change.....
If some expert friends..if you are not too busy can u please find me a modem..that is the last option i have to do..help me friends..thank you

hy guys,so recently I flashed gt i5500 with wrong firmware,some deoxed for s2 and samsung was hard bricked,it would not enter download mode even with jig so my dad took it to local service and they were in hurry so somehow they restored it to previous rom I had flashed it before deoxed and it was working perfectly,wifi and other functions,altough sim card was accepted,he didnt want to connect to network,normally he found network but didnt want to connect
so I restarted mobile phone,and now for some reason it wont start,I tried entering download mode with jig to flash another ROM,but no life signs,there are only white colour over black,so basically he is somehow "alive"

sorry for another BUMP,this forum is far less visited than others,I was today at local service and dropped my i5500 for repair,he checked battery and by voltage he concluded that maybe battery is completely dead and thats why phone wont even start

heyy so i recently got the s3 GT-I9300 (international version) and rooted it and flashed siyah kernel on it.. i removed the battery(without turnin off the fone) for some reason and when i inserted it back the phone just keeps restartin showin the samsung logo n model number and then kernel logo...if i conect it to a power supply it restarts for a while and then shuts off.. i did a back up usin CWM recovery(after the issue strtd) and tried restoring but dint work.. also tried re-rooting(as it solved a similar prob earlier)... the factory reset works but i cant afford to lose all my data i had :|..can someone help me out please.. thanks in advance..
You corrupted your rom. Super wipe and reflash, you will lose all your data.

I also had same problem the best solution is factory reset and root ur device and use clean master there are some features in clean master like off the autostart and fast charge which actually worked for me my phone now get near 70-80% charge in hour. If u want to root ur device try iroot it is easiest way to root u will need drivers just Google it.

I flashed a custom ROM of android 4.2.2 after 3 to 4 days of using it it became too much buggy. sometime all app started to crash. I FLASHED it to stock ROM 4.1.2 immediately then my S3 wasn't able to make any new calls it said "not registered on network" i tried doing a factory reset but that didn't fixed the problem then i searched on the internet and got to know that my IMEI got corrupted it's something like 0049********.
My binary counter was 9.
Please help Me :

Hello. We two my friends are in the same boat. i have the same problem from over 3 days and i wan't able to fix this problem. My imei is same as yours 0049 something.

hey i had the same prob wid my gs3, nd i too tried everything possible ( almost ) including the efs backup blah blah!! backporting blah blah ablosutely nuttin worked! http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
went to spamsung service center n they said plz replace ur mainboard!! cost about 130$ in india!

guys note yous might just need the MG4+ modem to recovery your network, if its not that and you dont have a backup then im afraid ANYTHING you legally do is useless...

dear I have Galaxy note 3 Sm-n900 i had the same problem this is how i fixed the problem
1. Power of your device
2- when completely of hold volume up+ home button+ power button together for few secs
3- when Samsung logo shows up release all 3 keys and it will come into recovery mode
4- first erase all user data( use volume down to navigate and power button to select)
5- erase cache/wipe cache(same procedure)
6- now reboot
when your phone will boot up it will be fixed
but remember to keep SIM Card in phone while doing this
I hope it can help you
if the problem is still there you can flash the ROM once again some times it also helps
any other help i am always there to help

root device
google "ariza_jbv02.zip", put it on root folder and install through CWM

Brother if you are mobile phone repair professional repair imei with any supported box. If you are not a mobile phone repair professional go to a mobile phone repairing shop your problem will solve.

Guys this worked first time for me the other day, i baught an s3 that was ****** and got it up and running but imei/baseband was gone. Flashed MG4 modem.bin via odin and all is perfect again.

I would be doing this for the ATT version of the Galaxy S3 but I am encountering the same issues that the OP here is describing
I have Odin and know how to use it, just not sure where I find the MG4 modem bin file

I agree with you on this and I've done it myself and it works 110%. So if any of u guys out there are facing the same problem, don't waste your money on sending your phone to the service center, they'll just eat up your money and your time.....instead just follow the steps and I can bet u it'll solve your problems. I have rooted my Samsung S3 from Android 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 to 4.3 and then downgraded it back to 4.1.2 which only then I encountered the problem of "Not Registered on Network". But then, after going through various forums and lastly your article, I decided to try it out myself and it works beautifully without any hiccups.
Prior to doing anything on your phone, u have to download Odin3 v.3.09 and after that, make sure u download the following firmware:-
a) AP_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
b) BL_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
c) MODEM_I9300BUUGMJ3_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 file
d) CSC_VFG_I9300VFGGMJ5_1986192_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
Just for pointers, please follow closely these steps:- (No shortcut please)
1. Load the file sinto Odin now:
Click on the AP button on Odin and select the AP_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
Click on the BL button on Odin and select the BL_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
Click on the CP button on Odin and select the MODEM_I9300BUUGMJ3_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 file
Click on the CSC button on Odin and select the CSC_VFG_I9300VFGGMJ5_1986192_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file
2. Click the Start button to begin flashing the Android 4.3 firmware on your International Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, and wait until you see a PASS! message in Odin’s top left box.
3. When you get PASS! message, your phone will restart automatically. You can then disconnect your phone from PC.
If you see FAIL message instead of the PASS in Odin’s top left box, that a problem. Try this now: disconnect your S3 from PC, close Odin, remove phone’s battery and put it back inside in 3-4 seconds, open Odin and thenrepeat from Step 3 of this guide again.Also, If device is Stuck at setup connection or on any other process, then too, try this: disconnect your S3 from PC, close Odin, remove phone’s battery and put it back inside in 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 3 of this guide again.

My story with my dead galaxy grand 2.. Hello everyone 2 months ago i had updated my grand 2 to 4.4.2 offical kitkat.. There was a problem that it was restarting every 4 or 5 mins i decided to flash the 4.3 version of android so when i flashed it ?? it failed and got my phone dead ?? (no download mode, no recovery ,and even not charging)* i have tried so many methods (press power buttom and volume up and home buttom while the battary is out and then put it in while pressing.. Booting from sd card.. Changing the battary)
i had went to the samsung service center in my country they said the problem of my phone is a boot problem and will fix it* by 690SDG (this equals 70$) i dont have a warranty card
I let the phone with them for a week and they failed to solve the problem. And i went to many other official places for phone repairing and they failed... I lost the hope ??. But in the end i gave it to guy that said its a boot problem and samsung realsed the boot file for your phone but you have to wait 3-4 dayz till they send the file to me i was contacting him for a week and came to him after that to find my phone working but he said to me that the phone need the serial number come after three days and after the three days i came and took my phone and its working now and i m writng this post by it ????. He solved the problem for 40$
Thr phone now is functioning well but it has a wifi problem that i cant connect to and wifi network and when im* tethering* WiFi no one can detect my network...
anyone have any advice to me in this problem???* ('is it hardware or software)...

He solved the problem for 40$

If your phone is rooted flash the deds kernel v2.0 and not any other version it may solve your problem. .

Thanks for reply dude but i read the comments their.. they cant turn on the WiFi. My phone can turn on and i can search wifi available but the problem is that when i connect it doesn't connect just says connecting.... Saved you got that ??? So does the kernel dolce m problen too??

Bro The comments there are for newer versions and no that connecting problem doesn't happen with me...
Edit :- if you intend to flash take a nandroid backup (just in case )

I haven't flashed the kernel coz there was no point the wifi was not working. .
Intresting thread i m little curious that how did that guy fixed your problem...
as far as i know ...no wifi is your problem specific to your roms wifi partition on tz i think...it is present in newer samsung roms...so just fash yuor rom versions compatible tz partition.
did you change your motherboard? if not how it is possible to boot up again dead grand 2

Bro i guess ur wifi drivers are missing ask some 1 here to give a wifi drivers in a flashable zip so that u can flash it.. or u can reinstall the stock rom again...

I dont realy know but from what i had seen he uncover the motherboard and attached some thing(like usb) to it.. Not iin the usb port and he was using odin this all what i know
