Along with my 7.99 tempered glass screen protector, I've been looking for other 'deals' for accessories.
I found a 3 pack of carbon fiber skins for the Note 3 in gold, black, and white.
For 3.99 for 3, I figured I'd chance it.
Clearly not real carbon fiber...just in case someone actually feels the need to point that out.

I find carbon fiber to be very tacky. Just kills the look of a phone. Just my opinion. Only thing that's good is the price.
The back looks good but the front looks ugly. Your Note is a "butter face." Lol.

I notice that you don't show the top of the front in any if the pics or the video. I can only assume that area doesn't look so good. You do show the "stitched" area of the battery door, but no close-up shots. Would you post some close-up pics of those two areas?
Also, do you have the ability to choose what colors you want (so you can get 3 of the same color), or will they only send the variety of white, black, and gold?

Not showing close ups, wasn't on purpose. I was using my wife's phone to take the photos and it's not the best for close up photos.
I actually took off the gold borders on the side and back and just went all black.
When my cousin saw it, he thought it was a custom made note 3. I removed the front carbon fiber as well so it's pure black on the back and sides, tempered glass on the front. It looks like a 'blacked out' note 3.
I'll try to take photos and upload them later. I don't think you can choose the color. They just send you 3. The seller sells the same color in 2 packs for a dollar cheaper or so.
I primarily tried it out because it beat spending the 15-30 that skinomi, slickwraps, etc all seem to charge. It's definitely not 3M so that's unfortunate.
Where to buy this skin ? Have you an Ebay link ?

Anyone wanna trade your white flip case for a black one? Dumbass best buy didn't get any white ones and don't know when they'll get them.

Yeah i'll trade you, i wanted a black but the guy didn't even ask. just put the white one in my bag. i was too excited to bother asking for him to change it.
My case looks almost perfect, there's a little smudging on the rubber edge of the front flap from my pocket, might rub off i haven't tried.
Look for yourself, as long as yours is good too, i'm down

Anyway, if you want to trade just message me, i guess we'd have to mail the cases? i don't live anywhere near Georgia.
I currently use this case for my wife and I. It's ok, I recommend a different case. We order new ones from Amazon. Problem is it replaces battery cover which makes it very easy to come off of case. I constantly have it coming off the battery area. I ordered two different cases that essentially work the same I'm that instead of replacing the battery cover it wraps around the phone like a standard case. Than the flip portion has billfold style card holders and pockets. There are some there different brands like this. All are I'm the $40-50 range, but worth it as it actually protects screen when closed unlike all snap on's

I've always wished that the One X could have come to Sprint instead of the Evo (blasphemy I know... ). The Sense 4.0 interface looks much better with the black buttons and white edging and back. And personally I think the white Evo looks like crap with the white faceplate on the front with the dark Sense UI. So I found this case on Amazon and now I have the best of both worlds The Android logos inlaid on the back give it a good soft touch feel and all the buttons are easy to get too.

I have this case, and while I love it I only used it for 5 days. It gets stained very easily and nothing that I have found will restore it back to white. Tried manic eraser, alcohol, nail polish remover, bar-keepers friend, bleach.... So if you find something that works, please post it. I ended up breaking down and buying a different one on eBay last night.

I've got a green one, I can at least vouch for the quality. Everything about this case fits perfectly and tight.
The only issue I have is that some of my USB cable ends(Old BB Cables mainly) are a little thick for the cut out and they don't have a satisfying "Click" when you plug them in, this causes them to fall out relativly easily when you move the phone around while its connected.
My stock HTC cable, MonoPrice, and a few Sammy cables I have are perfect though.
Mine is still white after a week.. Not completely pure white but enough to keep me happy

Sprint had a white body glove case at the store. White with a bit of grey thrown on the sides as rubber grip. Not bad looking but makes the phone considerably larger.
I bought the black version of this case just a few minutes ago.
Also there's this other white one in eBay for less than 3 bucks.
I have an Otterbox commuter but..
I bought the black one though since it is just like the one I have for my Motorola Photon and I don't want to break or modify my otterbox just to be able to use the iBolt Car Dock..
These cases are very nice and durable and also the best is that they're cheap.
(It takes 2 weeks to be delivered cause they are sent from china) but shipping is free!

First impressions is that there was a lot of thought put into this case. It is well crafteed, and adds good protection. I love the semi transparent back. Not bad for $10, it will hold me over until I find a sview cover.
I have the solid black on the way. After midnight the price drops to 1.75 + ship on Amazon for the solid black case. Any appreciable lip designed into the case to protect the screen and the camera?
Yeah, I picked up two Black/Black ones for 1.77 each. Pretty solid case for the price. I've dropped it a couple of times from various heights and I've had no problems so far. I would definitely recommend this case.

The camera protection is actually the nicest touch. It is just slightly thicker then the camera, and the case has a nice reinforced band around the camera. The there are two small ridges that protrude out of the back that are good for grip and make sure nothing touches the camera.
I'm actually looking at lanyards which this case is compatible with. Nice to have for peace of mind. :good:

I have a price watch on it and it only has happened once in the past week while I was sleeping. I missed it, but haven't gotten any more notifications after that.
I put up a review on the grey and clear supcase the other day and noticed the case does not have a cut out for the video microphone on the top of the phone next to the headphone jack.
The case looks great but how did you installed Lumia on your Note 3? Is your phone rooted? If not, what kind of app is that?

I haven't seen any threads about DBrand skins so I figured I'd create one.
I've purchased skins from them for my nexus 4 and htc one and the product and service is top notch.
They posted a pic of the leather skin for the Z2 on their Facebook page so I wanted to share it. Also want to know if anyone else is going to order from them.
Personally I don't want a case because it would make the phone really hard to use with one hand and I think that the back skin will be enough to at least protect the glass back. What do you guys think?

question on the carbon skin, does it actually have a carbon fiber esk texture? Thanks.
Orderd the orange back and side skins. I think it's going to look amazing.
I currently have a carbon textured skin but I've ordered the titanium one cause I think it'll look pretty awesome in combination with the side aluminium on the frame. Can't wait!
Edit: Also if possible it would be really awesome to see skins for the sony tablet line, I've got the Tablet Z and would love to slap on one of your skins.
does the skin covers the whole frame like the corners and such? that is the most impact part of the phone when drops. The corners always hit first.
I have a screen protector on both the front and the back of my phone, would I have to remove them in order to apply the skin?

I'm pretty sure you can keep them there but I'd personally remove them because most likely they won't align perfectly on the corners and it might be visible.
Received my ordered skin today and damn, what a perfect fit. This is what it looks like..

No, just the back one. Don't want to cover the sides as it's metal and plastic anyway.

Hey guys!
We took a few dozen really great photos of the Z2 in various color combinations yesterday. I'll post them here once all they're ready (dust removed, etc).
Also, if you're new to dbrand Xperia Z2 skins, make sure to check out the how to apply tutorial video we made specifically for the Xperia line of phones. Link in the picture below!

Every order for a front piece includes two anti-glare screen protectors that fit perfectly within the front skin's screen cutout. We'd definitely recommend that you remove the screen protector which is already applied in favor of the screen protectors that are supplied.

Indeed it does! The carbon fiber material we use is the most textured stuff on the market. Each "weave" has nine tiny little ridges on it to mimic the look and feel of real dry carbon fiber. It bounces the light accordingly and provides pretty decent grip.
Has anyone seen/tried these yet? Personally I'd prefer a black back as the blue Antenna doesn't really match the black/dark blue device.

Check or search nexus 6 tear down or so. Lazy to link things tonight
ifixit did it in their tear down.
Ahhh teardown search was key.. Thanks guys
So I'd say it's safe to assume that eventually there's going to be a black model?
This looks interesting! I'd love to see how it comes out!
I hope it has the adhesive already on it. I can only imagine the huge PITA its going to be if it doesn't. For those who ordered one can you post a guide/pictures when you install it? I'm curious about this and if it works I know a lot of people will want the white one.
I'm curious if it's actually just the blue one labeled black.

If it is indeed black then it's not an OEM part. I wonder how the quality would be in that case.
I fully expect to get a blue one, but for $10 shipped its worth trying.
I ordered a black one when they first popped up on ebay. I'll update with pics and info when it gets here. I just plan on using it as a template to see about making alternate material backs so if it's black or actually blue and listed wrong it doesn't matter to me.
Looks like they raised the price. I'll wait to see results. My back has a few weird scuff/wear marks and I'd pay $10 to get a new one to have on hand. They seems like they'd be very easy to replace.
I think it would be awesome if it turned out to be black soft touch even though that isn't original. If the quality was good anyway...
Edit - I see the black is $10 and the white is $15.
With sprint only offering the midnight blue version, I wanted the white version. I would be interested to see how a midnight blue with one of these white backs look.
I bought a black back for 10$.
I'll give it a try.
This + a crashguard bumper + a screen protector
It's all it takes to cover the entire phone
Mine shipped so it should be here in 2 weeks or so. Shipping from China is always slow.
Im interested to see how this turns out.
I'll be getting a few of these. Maybe they're knockoffs, but if they fit the device, they could be used as custom backplates. I'm thinking of using spray paint or something, to create a nice, unique backplate.
