Hi everyone !
First, excuse me for my English if it's not perfect, but it's not my main language, so I'll probably do some mistakes
I was with the last official update, un jelly bean.
I wanted to install a custom ROM on my Desire X, so I unlocked my bootloader with the HTCDev website.
It worked perfectly.
Then, I flashed the ClockWorkMod recovery.
I did a full wipe and flashed the ROM SuperSENSE-dx5 1.01
I finally flashed the boot.img of the ROM with the "Boot.img installer RC 4.0". (I did a reboot to bootlader / fastboot to do this)
But I when the phone rebooted, I was on the basic ROM... (just some infos about phone changed) and the other ROM was installed too.
(I know this cause my phone memory "other" was about 2.53go instead of 1.75go like usually)
Someone said me to change the recovery, what I did and flashed the TWRP 2.6.3 ==> Same problem
Used TWRP 2.5 ==> Same problem.
Then, he said me to use the SuperWipe script. I flashed it (ran for 20s, then said "failed", but I had no more OS into my phone, TWRP said it).
So I flashed the ROM and the boot.img like I did al time before.
But now, I have the white screen 'HTC quietly brilliant" and then, a black screen (with the backlight)... It never changes. LED never light up and the phone reboot every 10 minutes, but always stucks on the black screen....
For information:
- Now, if I do the full wipe (3 in 1, in TWRP), it's ok, but if I check cache / Dalvik (into advanced), the recovery says "failed" (If I check system alone, it works).
- If I try a factory reset, now, it runs for 10s then says "failed" too. Anf if I reboot the phone, I'm stuck still stuck to the black screen...
If someone could help me, it would be so nice...
Thanks in advance,
MiMilz

Can you explain what's the "cid" please ? First time I heard about this.
Hboot: 1.25.0002
Radio: 1.15.40.04

It seems you need to use a recovery for JB, and you use a recovery ICS. that's why the flashing fails.
The cid is not important anymore
I tried to flash the each one of the 2 recoveries of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316662
I boot my phone into Fastboot and use Windroid to flash the recovery.
But with the 2 recovery, when I reboot into bootloader and select recover, I'm still with TWRP 2.5...
I don't understand what's wrong with my phone...

Never use a toolkit if something doesn't work, flash the 2.5 JB version from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099513
When you are in fastboot do the command fastboot flash recovery ''name of recovery''.img or follow the thread you posted (part 2.4)
had same issue:
I flashed now twrp 2.5 with toolkit, since i remembered reading somewhere, there are problems with 2.6.3.
Superwipe script by xpirt doesn't work for me; either on 2.5, or on 2.6.3.
for now everything's working...
Thank you GtrCraft !
Now, the phone is booting, and the ROM says "Finish boot." (or finishing boot", doesn't really matter), and juste after, I get this message:
"process com.android.phone has stopped"
If I click on "ok", I have the same message with all application (like Google+, etc)...
I have the same issue with and without my sdcard into my phone...
And if i let the phone like this, or click "ok" on every windows, the phone reboot and restart at "finish boot", etc.

So I wanted CM 10 on my phone, I used Flash GUI app, and flashed and tried flashing it through twrp. It reset, somethings didnt install properly couldn't catch what it didnt install. I read some misinformation online (or misinterpretation on my part) and wiped cache + davlik data. So now when I restart it goes to HTC screen then a black screen. I can still access bootloader, but I don't have a recovery file now to go off from or have no idea where to go from
I have HBOOT 1.15 with S-ON, 1.22.651.3, any ideas, or suggestions?
The kernel install didnt take. I'd highly suggest doing it via fastboot and not the app.

I have been thru the process you describe many times for testing purposes but I have never had to use the wipe option from the bootloader.
I normally just go into twrp and wipe system, factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik and then install rom.
Not saying you're wrong, I just have not encountered it.

So I had my HTC One rooted and I was using Revolution HD Rom with TWRP recovery. I decided to install rooted 4.3 Rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341395 which means that
- Installed Radio from thread i mentioned
- Installed faux kernel
- Installed the ROM
The installation went fine and when I booted, I kept getting com.android.phone error. I read that I have to re-flash the radio. I did but no success and phone kept restarting. I did the whole process couple of times but no success.
The i decided to go back to 4.2 so i decided to install CleanROM which comes with built-in kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2253527) ... I mean the ROM.ZIP has kernel built in as wel .. .
So I installed it and when i started my phone, It is stuck in HTC One logo. No matter how many times i try, it is still there.
With clean ROM, I believe I have installed old kernel, now i don't know how to get my phone get back to workign ..
Need HELP

You probably just need to clear cache .. did you do a full factory reset going from GPE 4.3 to CleanRom ?
To clear the cache boot the phone to the bootloader (power + Vol down)
plug into the pc and go to your Fastboot folder and open command prompt and type "fastboot erase cache" then "fastboot reboot"
You really have to do a complete wipe/ factory reset when going from one version number to another IE: 4.3 to 4.2.2. You should also note that flashing a kernel has to be last in the line .. the rom you flashed last overwrites the kernel you just flashed.
So the correct order would be:
Factory reset / Wipe
Install Rom
Flash Radio
Flash Kernel ( if you stick with CleanRom skip this step)

Hi there!
I've recently flashed xpirt's unofficial port of MIUI v5. However, I'm not seeing any MIUI elements in my phone except 2 apps (which do not work). They are MiCloud and MiCredits. Other than those apps, my phone is pretty much a sensed based phone after flashing the phone.
Each time the phone boots up, a pop up will appear saying : Unfortunately, Xiaomi service framework has stopped. Same thing happens when i try to start the two related apps.
My order of flashing
Format /data
Format /cache
Format /system
Format /delvikcache
flash xpirt miui v5 #1
(at this point I repeated steps 1,2 & 4 after multiple failed attempts to get my miui working)
flash xpirt miui v5 #2
reboot
Did i flash it wrongly?
I have a working CWM recovery already.
Any help is appreciated!! My phone is in working condition even without the miui theme, but meh, wouldn't i just return to the stock rom?
Did a lot of work just to get my JB version on DX too! :crying:
Android 4.1.1
Hboot 1.25
fulmix.Kernel #2
Tried searching for any similar issues faced but seems like I'm the only one facing the issue.
Not even sure if it's supposed to be how it is... not enough screenshots around from other users to show what I should see upon starting up.
You have a wrong CWM recovery for JB hboot.
Use TWRP recovery for JB
Thanks!

Wow, that works for me! Thanks! :good::good:
I have the exact same problem
Hboot 1.25
unlocked with WinDroid HTC Desire X Toolkit v3.0
tried flashing the rom with the included TWRP and CWM.
phone boots, i get the error "xiaomi framework stopped" and the two mentioned apps.
flash order like aarontanws
do i need superuser before i flash the rom?
any other suggestions?
cheers
I'm not sure if the Windroid Tool checks your hboot and matches the right TWRP version. I for myself use TWRP 2.6.3.0 on JB hboot, works perfectly for me. You can also use PhilZ Touch if you want, but be sure to choose the JB version. Given that, flash the recoveries manually via fastboot, perform a full wipe, install the first package along with the second one.
TWRP 2.6.3.0 here.
I get an Error when I try wiping the dalvik cache.
flashed TWRP 2.5.0.0 via command line
no Error wiping dalvik + flashes MIUI successfully

Hello, I need help. I tried to update my phone to a new ROM and now it is only booting in bootloader and says there is no OS. I have downloaded a RUU that matched, renamed it and put it on my microsd and tried to flash it but it reboots in TWRP. I have a backup and when I try to restore it says Restore Complete Failed---E: Cannot restore System -- mounted read only. I really love the M9 and want it back up and running can anyone please help me get it back functioning? It does not have fastboot option and adb server out of date. Pretty much a noob here. I have flashed other Roms before, but this M9 is proving to be a pain. I have been researching thread after thread and still no luck. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks I figured I will look at how to relock the bootloader without fastboot. I honestly didn't think I could install a rom because I figured most needed MM7 and I dont have that installed which is what happened when I tried to install Viper Rom
Got it working again. I had to restore only the boot and system image. After it rebooted I then restored data and it's back to normal.

i woke up today and my phone died of charge. I plugged in the charger and tried to power up my phone. It was stuck in a bootloop. So, I went into recovery, wiped cache and dalvik cache, rebooted, and still didnt work.
I then went to wipe and did the thing where twrp asks to do a factory reset by wiping cache, dalvik cache, and data. Still didnt worl, so i took out the sd card and did it again. Still bootloops. So, i then wiped dalvik cahce, cache, system, and data. Now, my phone is stuck in the white HTC logo with red text. and twrp tells me there is no os installed, are you sure you want to continue? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS! PLEASE PLEASE REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Hey did you get it to work? Just seeing this post. If you backed up your system and boot images boot into twrp and flash those copies you made before the wipes. See where that gets ya. Hopefully you got it fixed by now.
