My phone was working properly when it was on stock 4.0.4.
I did Cyanogenmod 10.2. It worked but no signal.
I researched on this and found something about updating modem/radio.

I downloaded and flashed this one "DXELK1" since it said SE Asia and I live in the Philippines.
Still no signal + unknown baseband, number, IMEI.
I tried flashing 4.3 modems found here: http://perka.zapto.org/ but problem persists.
I am now downloading stock firmware 4.1.2.
Please help me. Thanks!

Guys I have been having a hectic time with this no network issue in my i9300. I upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.3 without backing up the EFS folder and tried to come back to 4.1.2 and then the network registered problem came. So after many failed attempts I flashed the stock 4.2.2 via odin and gave my phone to a shop and got the corrupted EFS folder done with the repair box. Now the thing is when I flash Neatrom or the Omega 4.1.2 roms I do not get the network. I get my network ONLY on my stock 4.2.2 rom which has the patched MG4 modem. Please help me to downgrade and install Neatrom 4.1.2 rom and get my network back.
I have got a backup of my 4.2.2 EFS folder.

hello, I know there are plenty of threads regarding this. I went through all of them. I just want to know if anyone else encountered a problem exactly like mine.

I'm with CM11 unoffical 4.4.
My modem is XXEMG4 and I would like to go back to I9300XXELL4 now I know that there is a problem with that and that there is some kind of fix but I could not find an answer for it...
all I could find is solution if the IMEI is 0000 or no S/N but that is not the case for me...
Please I would appreciate your help.

I have an international I9300,and it worked really well with the offical MIUI ROM(4.1.2)or the Samsung ROM,but after flashing the roms base on AOSP(4.2.2),I will have the problem with null IMEI and unkown baseband,when I flash the offical MIUI ROM,everthing is ok then !
It didn't look like I lost FES because everything is fine with the offical MIUI ROM(4.1.2) or the Samsung ROM,It happened only when I flash the roms base on AOSP(4.2.2).
I wonder how to solve the problem,big thanks if you could let me know where is wrong.:good:

Great thanks for replying! Yes,I have tried the XXEMG4 baseband after I flashing the ROMS based on AOSP,but I still have the same problem(Null IMEI and unkown baseband).

my phone doesn't read my imei when i install a MG4 or higher modem !! it can't be upgraded to efsv2 !!
i can't upgrade my phone to android 4.3 JB cause my IMEI will be like that 006.....
I tried to flash my old modem that i use now MB5 on 4.3 .. and i get unknown imei and serial ...
what should i do to upgrade my phone to 4.3 without imei problem or modem problem ???

Well thats odd. First make a backup of your imei if its not corrupted in the 4.1.2. Older than MG4 modems have efs v1 but MG4 can read both v2 and v1. Upgrading has never given a imei problem in my experience, only downgrading. Again BACKUP your IMEI. Factory reset and flash a stock rom do try 4.3 after making nandroid and efs backups. Which rom are you using btw?

Hey my s3 (i9300) is experiencing a no network issue my imei and s/n are normal tried restoring efs backup no effect i do have an efs back made by H-tool this happened after updating to 4.3 i lost my network i then went back to 4.1.2 still nothing help would be appreciated
what I've tried so far:
1)Upgrade to 4.3(s4 revolution v12 and mk6 stock) (what caused the issue)
2)Downgrade to 4.1.2 then restore efs backup
3)flash mg4 modem
