ok so i was search for a SecMms.apk that will allow my wife note 3 to wake up her phone since MJ4 stock odex doesnt wake it up
so i found a modded one in the att note 3 thread i pulled out of AzureROM push it thru and it woke up her phone when receiving a txt message
this was test on a MJ4 stock odex rom with only root
this will work on deodex rom
SecMms.apk inverted (BLACK)
how to install need ROOT
use what ever root explorer you use backup your SecMms.apk the .odex if you have it
copy paste it to system/app
set permission to
rw--r--r--
DownLoad Here SMS
Now as for the Camera Shutter this will give the option to turn off/on sound in camera menu/setting
navigate to system/csc/
open feature.xml look for a line in CAMERA where is says
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>false
change that to
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true
save and exit reboot test

Inasmuch as it's an apk from another carrier, it's not surprising.

You'll need your MSL; I believe that you do ##DATA# from the keypad, navigate to the MMS menu, pipe in http://mms.sprintpcs.com, save and back out. I will confirm the keycode sequence to access the menu, but the preceding should work.

I too would like to know about this...I was just recently using a 4.2 keyboard flash that had emoji support with my s3. Any word on this for the s4?
This is what i used and it worked. Just flash through TWRP

This methods works and just enable the keyboard after you install it. Then you're good to go.
Thank you

I cant get it to "stick" I have to re-enable it every time I want to use an emoji. Am I missing a step?

I like that one a little better, this is the one I used with my s3. It has a lot of options so make sure you only choose to add Emojis and the 4.2 keyboard. I actually prefer this keyboard to the stock one, other than the stock keyboard having the numbers. Also, with this keyboard all you have to do is long-press the space bar and it will bring up the list where you can choose the emoji keyboard.

You have to fix permissions in recovery. Use to run into that issue before until I did that

I dont understand why its not working for some people all I did was flash it, didn't fix permissions or anything, then i enabled it in settings and it's been working flawlessly

I tried using the one that came with hyperdrive and it was just freeze up my phone. Thanks for the info. Works perfectly:good:
I found out why it wasn't sticking. I was using the OUDSH recovery since that was first available to everyone but after switching to CWM, everything seems to be working perfectly
How do you flash this? Just go through recovery and flash the zip? Do I need to factory reset or just wipe cache and delvik
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
You should really try Kii keyboard. It works better than the emoji keyboard. The emojis on the keyboard look like iOS emojis and I have a hard time telling which emoji is which on the emoji keyboard
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
I just want the stock messaging app to see the emoji. I know I can get the keyboard to work I want the app to show the emoji. I dont want to keep using a 3rd party app to see emoji's

See on APN's file if Your operator is there. It is on /etc/apns-conf.xml
The APN's are classified by operator number. This is MCC-MNC 23415 on screenshot example.

Go to this rom thread on the AT&T forum, scroll down to addons, grab one of the four volume mod choices especially for KitKat, and provides the same options as Jellybean, it's just a different file edit.
I suggest that you do not flash, but push the file and setting permissions. I've found that anything above the slight mod is just distortion, but your experience may vary.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48655023
Or you can unzip the file moderate lite file linked here (backing up the original first),
https://www.dropbox.com/s/k2za31snhshur4q/moderate lite (inlcuded already in rom).zip
Thank the dev whilst over in the AT&T forums.
Hope this helps.

Uhm, those are KitKat-specific. The files I linked are specifically for KitKat 4.4.2 TouchWiz, and I happen to be using them right now.

Most definitely, I'm on freeza's stock DeOdex KitKat rom.
The rom I linked is called KnoxRaid, those files are in the OP, and it clearly states that it is the only AT&T KitKat TouchWiz rom.

You should definitely update your firmware to either MJ4 or NAB. NAB would be preferable considering you're running 4.4.2. (How did you get that installed on such old firmware?)

I have to ask. Do you put any effort at all in looking for these things yourself, or just post and expect others to spoonfeed you the information? XDA is an incredible resource which can help you learn, but only if you are willing to put forth some effort of your own.

Found this in the international forum. I take no credit for this. Antt00 came up with it. Confirmed working on NAB K3 V2. Haven't tested on anything else.

Thanks for the info! I checked the OP of your ROM thread and didn't see it....is there anyway to throw together a package of your s5 sms stuff so I can just throw that on my phone? since you are from what I see the first to beast mode it into perfection.
Edit: ok I found the apks in your other thread. (I was originally looking in S5 port thread). Now have you changed those apks at all? cause the ones I grabbed a few weeks ago from international forums would install and work EXCEPT for mms. thanks in advance!
