Well , I got a new phone ( ZTE U988s )with physical buttons , but it can't use 3dot menu and I'm used to using it. I heard that Xposed framework and 3dot mod can help me . But I donzt want to use Xposed framework . So I wonder if I can edit some system-level files to make 3dot menu appear on my new phone. ( The 3dot menu is like this , from my former phone ZTE U950 )

I know cm11 has this option to modify or add a fourth soft key to any phone with soft key built in. But I want to stick to sense 6. Is there a Xposed module? I tried looking everywhere.

I believe you can do this with gravity box on xposed. Under navigation bar settings you can add custom key.

yes Gravity box adds this feature but ive noticed it doesnt work all the time
...where there are more toggles and buttons for GT-I8552 stock ROM? I think it's a good idea that Shutdown Menu button, and the toggle buttons for Airplane Mode and Flashlight are included in status bar, rather than using a third-party app. If there's none is that even possible to make?

go to app sectiom for this device.
u will find it
The reason behind this is I'd like to keep the buttons untouched as always as possible. Through research, I found Xposed Framework Installer and it allows you to do advanced tweaks. Now, the physical buttons for volume, power menu (except for turning on) are useless and there's no need for third party apps which use more of RAM and CPU.

The app named All in One Gestures is best app to customize ur hardware buttons...
Especially for DN4 roms...(pressed home key for recent apps).
This app has many customizable features like double tapping the status bar for screen lock,etc..
Try the app
It's free from Google play store, so why did you include the app apk here?
Besides, it's no app to customize hardware buttons - it's an app to customize gestures.
Are you referring to another app? Did you make it yourself? Why the name 'gestures'?
I didnt make it....
Just simply shared the apk..
And in that app there are totally three sections...
1) Hard Keys
2) Swipe
3) Status Bar..
In Hard keys sections u can customize the physical keys.....
better use xposed addition app for hardware button. .

Does anyone know a way to get a menu option on one of the hardware keys? Recents, home, back...
I used xposed on cm12 based ROMs on my S5, and the app "all in one gestures" on touchwiz based lollipop ROMs, but I can't use either on the s6 edge (app says device not supported).
Any ideas? I have an app I use for work and it doesn't have the overflow-3 buttons to access the menu!
Turns out the app I was talking about now has the overflow menu button, but it's not a part of the app, it seems android has noticed it didn't have one and added one itself?
Does that seem right?
We developed this app so know it doesn't have this natively...
I noticed TouchWiz give is a little floating menu for apps that don't have one. XDA is a good example.
