apparently it's an issue with Sony devices and not having x-reality enabled. So any CM based ROM wont work as they don't have this feature. (unless dev's find a solution)

And thats why i went strait to 4.3 stock now finding the battery life much better and now will sit on stock untill 4.4 drops euro generic flashed via flash tool could not wait for the uk version to drop thanks for all your answers.

There is a xposed module that fixes that. It makes Netflix think its running on honeycomb or something. Works for me.

Yeah I thought it was normal for Netflix to NOT work with CM roms..at least it was always the case with the Note 2 so there was some modified file to flash or xposed solution to get it working.

Here
You need version 1.8.1 of Netflix. It's not the newest one, but it will work! Well, it's working for me anyway

[KERNEL][GSM/CDMA][CM9-BASED] Mjolnir Kernel 7 [DISCONTINUED]

NEW BOOT IMAGE TO COMMEMORATE THE JUMP TO RECOVERY 6!!
Introducing my first foray into the development world: Mjolnir Kernel!
Now before I get too far, let me just say that I am very much a noob still, and I simply followed paxChristos' tutorial on how to build your own kernel from source here.
I now have multiple versions of Mjolnir. You will find below a version for pre-FXP124 and post-FXP124. I know that some of paxChristos' roms are still based on CM9 from before 124, and I didn't want to leave those guys out. You will also see normal and silent versions. For those of you who don't wish to disturb others with your bootsound, I've included you, too. I will always post a version with the bootsound because I like having it.
In addition to multiple versions, I have, regretfully, found it necessary to upload working modules for my newest kernel. I really wanted to make it so that the kernel would take care of it itself, but it's beyond my capabilities to do so. So, in order to have wifi on Mjolnir greater than version 2, you'll need to flash the modules in recovery. To go back to FXP's kernel, you'll need to flash the FXP126 modules in recovery. Again, I'm really sorry I had to do it this way.
What works:
Wifi (Flash Mjolnir Modules)
zram
KSM
Video Playback
Panorama
Face Unlock
bootsound
Anything not mentioned in "Not Working."
Not Working:
proximity sensor
Added Features:
Many governors have been added
I/O Scheduler sio has been added
Many thanks to paxChristos, DooMLoRD, KeiranFTW, FXP, CyanogenMod, Sony, and anyone else that put anything into the kernel sources that I used. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you! At all!
And now for the downloads!
FXP126 and later
Mjolnir Kernel 7
Mjolnir Kernel 7 Silent
Wifi Modules
Mjolnir Modules
Stock FXP
FXP123 and prior
Mjolnir Kernel
Mjolnir Kernel Silent
To make sure there's a marked difference between versions of Mjolnir, FXP123 and prior will always have a "0" before the version number.
And here's a link to the older kernels, in case you want them, I guess. Remember, you won't need the modules before FXP126. (I've included the Special Edition kernel in there in case anyone actually liked it.)
http://www.mediafire.com/?5bgsl886rpl99
If you have problems, let me know, I will try my best to figure out how to fix them. No guarantees on actually being able to fix anything, or if this will get updated that often, but thanks for stopping by anyway! I'll definitely try to stay abreast of FXP's kernel changes.
I suppose I could put my source here, that way if anyone wants to build on what I've done (I don't know why you would), they can!

Was curious about the name and google-d it. Found out it was the hammer of thor, the god which has the same element as Zeus
Gonna test this one out tmr
Please keep the als permanently disabled It saves having to download the toggle als application.
your kernel works perfect! thanks!

So hw decoding? Working not working? What I'm really asking is can I watch videos or no?
Sent from my R800x using XDA
No hw decoding, panorama, or video recording. But playback works so we get youtube
Sent from my Xperia Play using Tapatalk 2
So why can't you use the flash zip that fixes video recording? That shouldn't be a kernel problem. Just a rom problem . So really its just panorama that doesn't work?
Sent from my R800x using XDA
No the zip doesn't work that good. For me when I flashed the zip it worked for the test but I got nothing after that

HW decoding mean like Mx Video player's ARMV7 codec and being unable to use Hardware?

What's messed up about video recording? I just recorded a sweep of the room I'm in, about 22 seconds worth of video. Does it not want to work if you record too long, or what?
No its just not working I opened up the camera and whenever I press the button to start recording it either force closes or doesn't work

Are you using FXP124? I'm on a nightly that was made after 124, so that may be why it works for me.

That's really weird, cuz I'm on the same nightly and video works for me. Panorama makes my camera force close, but that's it.
Edit: I'm so dumb sometimes. The CDMA mega-fix zip that was recently uploaded in paxChristos' thread has the video recording fix built in. So no, my kernel doesn't fix that, but since it can be fixed by flashing a zip, it's,most likely not kernel related, as started elsewhere.

[Q] FM Radio on AOSP ROMs

Just out of curiosity: It seems that no matter how much updates it gets, the devs couldnt manage to get FM Radio to work on AOSP & AOSP based ROMs. Why? Anyone got ideas about that?
PS: I've already did my search and couldnt find anything. But ofcourse internet is a vast ocean so maybe i've missed something

CM 9.1 for Xperia S (nozomi)

Hello,
Today I installed the cyanogenmod 9.1 for Xperia s (the latest nightly build). By far the fastest and smoothest rom I've installed till now. Plus it looks really cool to. Now I just realized that the Free Xperia cyanogmod on this website is different than the one from the cyanogmod website. (I've not installed the FreeXperia cm yet), but different md5 hash at least. What's the difference?
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Yes it is different ..it is much more stable than the one on the cyanogenmod website..and much more smooth..
Yesterday i also installed CM 9.0 nightly build ..found a lot of bugs in it..got back to CM 9.1..
CM 9.0 nightly build is not a stable build and may crash.
So they are not working together? But it's both called cyanogenmod. Seems a bit confusing. Btw I'm running the latest nightly from the cyanogenmod website and have not found any bugs yet..

I prefer the FXP builds found in the development section but they're both exactly the same. Made by the same developers.
Even I installed the CM 9.2 yesterday from get.cm. It works great.
However there are some sony stock features I loved.
For example the Gallery, Walkman, DLNa etc.
I found the gallery, walkman and visualization app. However, features like dlna, auto-tagging are missing.
Is there any way I could get a consolidated list of all sony stock apps?
Thanks in advance.

Go to get.cm, navigate to nozomi on the left, and you'll find the 9.2 nightlys. (http://get.cm/?device=nozomi)
OK thanks for reply. I also meant the 9.2 nightly (from http://get.cm/?device=nozomi , not 9.1 (sorry for the confusion) . Anyway, still runs great. Even after installing loads of apps..

[Q] Are there any XTZ Stock-based Roms??

^title, I like the features the of the stock rom that I cannot find in Aosp roms
Just wondering if any one else knows of any
based on my knowledge there is no stock based rom. well to be honest xtz forum is kind of quite, we have no dedicated devs cause i think they are more busy on other devices or something. there are themes available in the theme and app section though

I am soon working on a stock ROM for Pollux_Windy device, but overall work on it and initial release will come when it comes.
Xperia Z is main device where I will release two ROMS - one fresh and tweaked, customized / modded stock and one AOSP one. Then port equal results to Tablet Z if I can get it work with satisfying results..
It comes when it comes!

I am aiming for an beta / test release for the Xperia Z stock based rom next week. Me myself needs more testing of it, and also isolate battery drain issues so they are totally zero. Then let some guys over the XZ section test it, and begin working on the CM ROM based ROM (perhaps with some 4.4 goodies included)! Then port them both over to Pollux Windy!
Hold your fingers crossed, guys! Time needed: 3-3.5 week!

I am currently watch the development in 3 directions:
1) Stock ROM, with stable performance good UI & Multiusersupport and all functions working
2) CM11 or Android 4.4
3) Ubuntu Touch
I doubt it is going to be easy to develop a solid Stock Rom (realizing MHL, remote Control etc.)
Never heard some great improvments about ubuntu touch.
But, hey-> I'll be watching you

New better rom?

Hey all.
I have been using this rom [ROM][JB4.3]Ganbarou GT-P7500/7501/7510/7511 Android 4.3 based on CM10.2 for some while.
It is fast and nice!
And battery life is great!
Buit after some time it gets slow and i have to restart the tablet.
And Netflix dont work.
What stable and nice rom can you recommend?
I just want a rom where all works.
What about? CyanogenMod (http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ )
Thanks
Regards Daniel
Toldo 's jellybean ICS ROM plus A1 kernel. Best and stable performance you can get.

I tried Toldos Jellybean rom for a while. It is great except for batterylife. Now using cm 10.1. Has a good batterylife and its works well.
I have only been using Ganbarou for quite some time and it is great. Especially the battery life. I do agree that it does get laggy after some time, but it does not bother me too much. It will be the deciding point for me to change, though.
Luckilly BeeGee has taken over Nameless rom from Kasper. I understand there to be some screen glitches on it, but I might take it for a drive over the weekend. If it gives me what Ganbarou gives me, without the lagg, and the glitches is not too annoying, I might stay with it.

Hi all
I haven't changed my rom in more than a year and I'm completely lost. I used CM 10.1 but it has graphic glitches and it sometimes freezes. I'm also looking for something as stable as possible, with multi user support. I use the tablet mostly for video and web browsing. Don't really care about having the latest version of Android, as long as it's equal or higher than 4.2 for the multi user feature.
Can you please give me some advice?
